: The first ''Beastformers'' multipack, the Burstsun Special Set (バーストサンスペシャルセット ''Bāsutosan Supesharu Setto'') contained ten figures. It could have one of two special editions of the faction leaders: either a clear-plastic "Ghost" version of [[Alligatron#burstsun|Alligatron]], or [[White Leo#Toys|White Leo]] with the then-unique "Burstsun" rubsign (but no other notable changes). Būpink is a Beastformer from the Generation 1 continuity family.
We want you! We want you!
We want you as a new recruit!

Būpink (ブーピンク Būpinku), or just (ブー), is one of the Autobot-allied Beastformers fighting a war on the planet Beast. He was born and raised on the temperate island of Hilles, a peaceful place, which has left him a calm and easygoing person who does things at his own pace. He holds the rank of King of Hilles, over Emperor Mingo Kid. A gourmet and expert chef, Būpink can cook almost any dish on Beast, and as a result his role in wartime is "Food Reconnaissance". He is aided in his duties by his MVP Weapon, the Gourmetnier, which can turn objects into food by recomposing their molecules, ensuring his troops never go hungry.

Part of the third series of Takara's Beastformers toys, Būpink is a small soft-plastic figure of an anthropomorphic pig in red robotic armor. The Battle Emblem on his chest reveals one of three symbols when warmed up; Fire, Water or Wood.
During this line, Būpink was only available in the Burstsun Special Set (バーストサンスペシャルセット Bāsutosan Supesharu Setto) multipack. This blindpacked set contains 10 figures out of a potential 14. Thankfully, these were not randomly-packed, and came in two distinct lineups.
The first version has White Leo with an exclusive "Burstsun" Battle Emblem, Black Jaguar, Būpink, Dog Hunter, Dream Eater, Muskhorn, Pangol, Slo, White Cow, and Udan.
The second version has Ghost Alligatron, Black Jaguar, Būpink, Crowmax, Earthhog, Mingo Kid, Pangol, Slo, White Cow, and Udan.

  • Būpink (Beastformer, 1988)
    • ID number: 62
    • Accessories: "Gourmetnier" MVP Weapon
Re-released in the Transformers-less Beastformers sequel series, Būpink was given a straight re-release with new packaging and a new, more filled-out bio card with corrected coloring. This new card also gave his weapon, now branded an "MVP Weapon", the name "Gourmetnier" (グルメニア Gurumenia). He was sold in the second assortment of single figures, in an individual box with a name sticker on the front.
Late in the run, the "mood ring" styled rubsigns were replaced with new rubsigns that revealed full-color Fire/Wood/Water images on black backdrops. (These rubsign variants also happened at the same time in the Hasbro Battle Beast version of the line.)
