Major Tungsten is an Autobot-allied human from the Dark of the Moon portion of the movie continuity family.

Major Nicholas W. "Nick" Tosetti, codenamed Tungsten, is loud. He's also quite happy to bomb the holy heck out of his enemies from a safe distance. And with his like-minded Autobot partner Thunderhead around for him to heroically take cover behind? Look out.

Nick Tosetti was born in Canton, Mississippi to first-generation immigrants from Sicily. A frequent target of bullies, Tosetti learned the power of striking from a distance. He studied at the University of Dallas, taking advantage of the U.S. Army's [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Reserve Officers' Training Corps|{{#if:ROTC|ROTC|Reserve Officers' Training Corps}}]] program to defray his costs. His aptitude for mathematics made him an ideal candidate for field artillery. Tosetti was serving as a captain at Fort Irvine when news of the Battle of Mission City hit, and he immediately organized a relief mission, distinguishing himself in the aftermath of the battle. After joining NEST, he met his partner Thunderhead, a 'bot who shared many of his philosophies and introduced Thunderhead to heavy metal music. Tosetti enjoys listening to Iron Maiden or Black Sabbath while watching Thunderhead blasting the heck out of Decepticons. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/08/28

Part of the first wave of Dark of the Moon Human Alliance Triple Changer figures, Major Tungsten is a retool of the 2010 Transformers toyline Human Alliance Captain Lennox figure, with a new head and articulated wrists. He comes packaged with Thunderhead, and is compatible with any Human Alliance robot figure. His flak jacket is shown to be dark grey in the promotional image, but the final version uses tan. He also includes a tampographed Autobrand that isn't shown in the picture.
This mold was also used to make Sergeant Chaos and was retooled with a new head as Dark of the Moon Human Alliance Robert Epps.

  • [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Tungsten|{{#if:||Tungsten}}]] is a metal used in various types of electrical devices (light bulbs, for instance). This makes Major Tungsten a thematically appropriate partner for a guy named Thunderhead. Additionally, Major Tungsten's middle initial "W" is the chemical symbol for tungsten.
  • His biography in Ask Vector Prime was done as a homage to the G.I. Joe filecards. Bill Forster was responsible for the template.
