Optimus, Elita, and Bumblebee see who's the best at taking on what Cyberworld has to offer.

Synopsis

He'll serve your carburettor with fava beans and a nice chianti.

As Optimus Prime examines the mysterious orb found by Bumblebee, the yellow bot and Elita-1 spar, but Elita-1 easily dodges and pins him. Optimus tells them to calm down - their rate of collecting energon is slow, and they cannot afford to waste any. Elita-1 comes up with a plan for the three of them to split up and take on challenges individually, which will allow them to earn more energon faster, and also not risk each other's reserves in the process. Bumblebee makes it into a competition, with the winner deciding what they do after. They agree to meet back up at the Rotation Median, and with Bumblebee racing off, they roll out.

Bumblebee ends up in Cyber City, finding a spawn containing a race, only to be joined by Sky-Byte and an angry Starscream. Meanwhile, Elita-1 faces Mirage in a disc-throwing contest, where they bicker over how little information Mirage was provided to them. Optimus takes on an obstacle course by himself. On the race track, Bumblebee dodges hazardous terrain set by Sky-Byte, while Starscream shoots at them from above, only managing to hit the shark. Trying to cut out the middleman, he makes a straight line for the endpoint, but this puts him out of bounds, and he is forced back to the ground, where he is overtaken by the cars, and Bumblebee wins. Optimus struggles through the obstacles, even with the energy boost from the orb, and hopes the others are having an easier time. In between shooting targets, smashing buttons, stealing flags from behind Snarl's back, and solving puzzles, they're doing fine, winning several modules in the same time it takes Optimus to win one.

Back in the forest, Optimus arrives to an awaiting Elita-1 and Bumblebee, proudly declaring that he's reached Level 3. Unfortunately for him, they're both Level 5. As the overall winner, Elita suggests they do some reconnaissance on Scorponok, and so they head into the desert. As Elita-1 and Bumblebee shove each other around to get the best view through some rocks, the three are surprised from behind by a stranger holding them at gunpoint.

Continuity notes

• Optimus opens the episode inspecting the orb found by Bumblebee last episode.
• However time works on Cyberworld, it has a "rotation medium", presumably the local equivalent of midday.

Character levels

• Bumblebee starts at a very low Level 2, but is Level 5 by the end.
• Optimus Prime starts halfway into Level 1, and by the end is a high Level 3.
• Starscream is Level 7.
• At the end of the episode, Elita-1 is Level 5.
