Let's see what you can see...

This article is in need of images.

Specifics: various stuff

Bumblebee is the star of a multi-million-dollar film. Ergo, he gets a lot of toys and merchandise!

Toys

Transformers (2007)

Legends Class toys

It's not a fiesta with racing stripes... it's a fiesta OF racing stripes!
  • Bumblebee (Legends Class, 2007)
    • Japanese name: EZ Collection Bumblebee
Legends Bumblebee transforms into a yellow 1976 Chevrolet Camaro. Being a highly simplified toy of a highly complex design, Legends-class Bumblebee does not replicate the appearance of the robot mode very well, and has very limited articulation, detail and paint application. On the other hand, he's pocket-sized and inexpensive, perfect for the younger set. The toy has a sculpted rear window, but it's not painted like the other windows. instead, the racing stripes extend over them.

  • Optimus Prime bonus pack (Costco exclusive multi-pack, 2007)
A Costco exclusive special pack of Leader Class Optimus Prime with Legends Class Bumblebee and Autobot Jazz as bonus figures. None of the three toys is changed from their respective original releases.

The classic G1 cast...plus Barricade.
  • Battle for the Allspark (Toys'R'Us exclusive multi-pack, 2007)
A Toys'R'Us exclusive, this six-pack of Legends class figures contains unmodified toys of Optimus Prime, Jazz, Bumblebee, Megatron, Starscream and Barricade.

  • Bumblebee Scanning Ver. (Hyper Hobby magazine exclusive EZ Collection variant, 2007)
A Japanese-exclusive version of the Legends Bumblebee toy, "scanning version" Bumblebee uses transparent plastics for his yellow parts. He was available as a mail-order item from Hyper Hobby magazine in September of 2007.

  • Metallic Bumblebee (Tsutaya Records exclusive EZ collection variant, 2007)
This Japanese metallic repaint of Legends class Bumblebee is an exclusive included with purchase of the Movie DVD at Tsutaya Records.

Bee stings.
  • Bumblebee vs. Scorponok (Legends Allspark Battles two-pack, 2008)
As part of the AllSpark Battles Legends two-packs, a slightly redecoed Legends class Bumblebee, now sporting "battle damage" paint applications, comes with an all-new Legends Scorponok figure.

Deluxe Class toys

File:Bumblebeemovietoydeluxe67.jpg
These used cars are fully loaded!
  • Bumblebee (Deluxe Class Classic Camaro, 2007)
    • Japanese ID number: MA-03
    • Accessories: 2 projectiles
The first Deluxe Class version of Movie Bumblebee transforms into a yellow 1976 Chevrolet Camaro with a quite reasonable level of sculpted detail. In contrast to the other Deluxe-class car Transformers in the Movie toyline, he does not have clear windows, instead opting for opaque yellow plastic with painted metallic blue.
Bumblebee is armed with two shoulder-mounted spring-loaded missile launchers (inspired by the shoulder-mounted missile launchers he uses to fight Brawl/Devastator in the movie), which also double as hand-held weapons or can be mounted on ports on the undersides of his elbows. His legs and chest Automorph during transformation.
The initial release of the toy featured even tabs for the Automorph gimmick; oddly, Hasbro later decided to retool the feature so the tab would be uneven.[1] This resulted in many reported cases of the tab snapping during transformation. Press the button or you'll break him. Seriously. The retooled Automorph gimmick would be used for all subsequent versions of the mold, including the Japanese ones, and the breakage problem wouldn't be fixed until the UK exclusive "Towed to Safety" two-pack and the Target exclusive "Evolution of a Hero" two-pack.
Never seen so much translucent plastic in all my life.
Packaging photos and early test shots of Hasbro's Bumblebee featured transparent blue plastic windows and missile parts. However, the final Hasbro production toy has opaque yellow plastic. The Japanese TakaraTomy release of Bumblebee retains the transparent blue plastic parts, with yellow paint for the outer car shell. As a consequence, the missiles, which are on the same sprue, are also made of clear blue plastic, just like the early prototype seen in the Hasbro stock photos for the toy. He also uses the retooled version of the mold with the fixed Automorph gimmick.

The packaging used for the Japanese toy is the same as for the Hasbro version, with the exception of additional stickers identifying it as a Japanese market release.

"Go ahead, make my day!"
  • Bumblebee vs. Barricade: First Encounter
    • Accessories: 2 projectiles
This battle pack contains the 1976 Camaro deluxe-class Bumblebee and the deluxe-class Barricade/Frenzy figures, based upon their confrontation as seen in the movie. The box features a diorama-style background from a movie scene, but the toys themselves are unchanged from their original carded releases.
The set originally retailed for only slightly less than buying the two individual toys. However, for a short while, it was about the only way to get Bumblebee in the first place, thanks to the toy drought following the movie's record-smashing opening.

  • Bumblebee Limited Metallic Color Version (Lawson exclusive Deluxe-sized Classic Camaro, TakaraTomy 2007)
    • Accessories: 2 projectiles
A redeco of the Japanese version of the Classic Camaro Bumblebee mold (retaining the clear blue windows and missiles) that was exclusively available with the purchase of a ticket for the movie in Japanese Lawson stores.

Sadly, All Spark Insurance doesn't cover towing charges.
  • Towed to Safety (two-pack, UK 2007)
    • Accessories: 2 projectiles
This set features an unaltered Deluxe class Longarm figure and a Deluxe class 1976 Camaro Bumblebee figure. The window box features a diorama background of the battle in Mission City (basically the same packaging inner tray from the "Bumblebee vs. Barricade: First Encounter" pack). As is generally the case with the European releases of the Movie toys, the pictures on the front of the box show the robot-mode toys instead of an artist's depiction of their faces.
For this two-pack, Hasbro slightly retooled Bumblebee's Automorph gimmick again, adding another small tab that finally resolved the breakage issues that had plagued the previous variation of the mold.[2]
Thus far, this pack has only been released in the United Kingdom.

File:Movie Deluxe 2009 Bumblebee toy.jpg
Nu-uh! You don't want none of this!
  • Bumblebee (Camaro Concept) (Deluxe Class Concept Camaro, 2007)
    • Japanese ID number: MA-10
    • Accessories: Plasma cannon
The second Deluxe class Bumblebee toy, which shares no parts with the previous one (even the head, despite being based on the same general design, is a different sculpt), transforms into the concept vehicle for the 2009 Chevrolet Camaro. Maintaining the high standard for car accuracy in the movie line, Bumblebee is very faithful to the real-life vehicle, featuring clear blue windows in contrast to the opaque windows seen in both his previous Deluxe class toy and the Ultimate Bumblebee toy.
Bumblebee features two Automorphing gimmicks during transformation: (a) swinging his hood down into robot mode position also moves his arms up and (b), swinging his feet down will move the rear fenders up and behind his calves, as well as swinging the rear windows to his inner calves in a spring-loaded action. Unusually, this version of Bumblebee is much more accurate to the CGI design than either the older-model Deluxe OR the Ultimate figure, with the chest properly articulating in a fairly Movie-accurate manner. He's also slightly taller than most of the other Deluxe Class figures.
Bumblebee features a superb range of articulation, with ball joints in his shoulders, neck, torso, wrists and upper legs, with ratcheting and swivels making up the remaining joints. Instead of the rather inaccurate missile launchers from the 1976 Camaro toy, '09 Bumblebee comes with a mostly accurate version of his plasma cannon as it appears in the movie, but for added play value, it can Automorph into an energy blade by opening up the halves of the gun barrel and swinging them back. The cannon can be held in either of his hands.
Care should be taken when removing the cannon from Bumblebee's hands, as excessive force can damage the wrist ball joint socket.
Contrary to popular opinion, the yellow pieces on the back of Bumblebee's feet are not supposed to be heel spurs, nor have they been mis-assembled. They are supposed to fold up to emulate the detail found on the CGI design.
A running change version of this mold adds tabs to the hip panels, which makes the vehicle mode hold together better, as well as sculpted pupils inside Bumblebee's eyes.[3] Initially this was believed to be a variant for the Japanese market; however, later shipments of the Hasbro toy featured those changes as well, as did all subsequent versions of the mold.
This mold was also used to make "Allspark Power" Cliffjumper.

Hey, look, Concept Camaro, now you're the piece o' crap.
  • Evolution of a Hero (Target exclusive two-pack, 2007)
    • Accessories: 2 projectiles, Plasma cannon
A Target exclusive, this figure multi-pack contains an unchanged Deluxe-class 1976 Bumblebee and an exclusive "battle damaged" 2009 Camaro Concept Bumblebee. Even though the 2009 figure is supposed to represent Bumblebee's damaged state as he appeared during the final battle in the movie, oddly enough the "damage" paint decos do not appear to extend to his legs, restricting themselves to his upper torso and car roof/door parts. Maybe they didn't bother because they thought you'd take them off like in the movie. Go figure.
The Classic Camaro Bumblebee toy included in this package features the same "fixed" Automorph gimmick also found on the version included in the UK exclusive "Towed to Safety" two-pack. In addition, the Automorph button on the hood finally sports the painted pinstripes that had been missing on all previous releases of the mold.

  • Bumblebee and Optimus Prime (Argos exclusive two-pack, UK 2007)
    • Accessories: Plasma cannon
A two-pack, exclusively available at Argos stores in the United Kingdom, which contains an unchanged Voyager-class Optimus Prime and an equally unchanged Deluxe-class Concept Camaro Bumblebee.

File:Movie ScreenBattles CaptureofBB.jpg
You'll never take me alive!
  • Capture of Bumblebee (Screen Battles diorama pack, 2007)
    • Japanese ID number: SB-04
    • Accessories: Plasma cannon
This Screen Battles pack comes a redecoed Camaro Concept Deluxe-class Bumblebee featuring a more accurate gray color scheme for his robot mode parts and a silver-painted face, Autobot symbol and toes. Additionally, a new red Autobot symbol is placed on his forehead, while his translucent parts are now a greener blue. The pack also comes with non-posable figurines of Sector Seven agent Seymour Simmons and two Sector Seven soldiers; one carrying a cryo-freezing cannon and one carrying a grenade launcher.
This set comes in a special window box featuring a diorama background of the scene in which Bumblebee is captured by Sector Seven forces.
According to details listed in an official checklist on Hasbro's website[citation needed], this pack was originally supposed to feature "ice soldiers" (plural), in addition to an "S7 agent" and an "S7 soldier". Apparently budget ultimately only allowed for one. The grenade launcher-wielding S7 soldier also looks conspicuously like Captain Lennox colored as a Sector Seven soldier (it's possible that the figure had originally been intended for the Screen Battles "Desert Attack" pack with Scorponok).

Bumblebee just went neon. For Playskool, see the Cyber Slammers version.
  • All Spark-Enhanced Bumblebee (Target Exclusive Deluxe, 2007)
    • Accessories: Plasma cannon
This Target exclusive features the Deluxe Class Bumblebee in unique cylindrical packaging, with the only difference from his standard release being that key robot mode parts are highlighted by the slavish 'All Spark Blue' color for no other reason than to sell toys.

Bumblebee, as he appears in Bizarro World.
  • Stealth Bumblebee (Deluxe Class Concept Camaro, 2008)
    • Accessories: Plasma cannon
Stealth Bumblebee is an extensive redeco and minor retool of the Deluxe class 2009 Camaro Bumblebee toy. The redeco itself is unusual in that the yellow parts are still cast in yellow plastic, but painted black. Other color differences include changing the robot mode body parts from black to gray and adding bright blue AllSpark Power decos.
The head has also been retooled to reflect Bumblebee's 'battle mask' as seen in the Movie. The "mask" does not flip up to reveal his head. Bummer.
Downloadable content for the Xbox 360/PS3 version of the Revenge of the Fallen game features this deco as an alternate skin for Bumblebee.

You wouldn't like me when I'm angry.
  • Bumblebee ("Premium Series" Deluxe Class Concept Camaro, 2008)
    • Japanese ID number: MA-22
    • Accessories: Plasma cannon
This redeco of the Deluxe-class Concept Camaro toy features a similar deco as the Screen Battles version in terms of plastic colours, but replaces the head sculpt with the "battle mask" sculpt previously used for Stealth Bumblebee. All of his outer car body panels have been coated in a metallic yellow paint job.

Featuring Whitebread Edition Bumblebee, Limey Edition Bumblebee, and Animated Edition Bumblebee. (What'd you think we were gonna say?)
  • The Legacy of Bumblebee (Deluxe class multi-pack, 2008)
A Walmart exclusive three pack, The Legacy of Bumblebee collector's set comes with Classics, Movie Deluxe Concept Camaro (Premium Series) and Animated Bumblebee figures. While the Movie and Animated Bumblebees are identical to their original, single carded releases, the Classics Bumblebee has been redecoed to more closely resemble his Movie and Animated counterparts, changing his white stripes to black, and his grey/silver plastic to yellow, similarly to Henkei! Henkei! Bumble.

Screen Battles

"Half a bee, philosophically/ Must, ipso facto, half not be./ But half the bee has got to be/ Vis-a-vis, its entity. D'you see?"
  • Final Stand (Screen Battles, 2007)
    • Japanese ID number: SB-02
This Screen Battles pack comes with an altered Longarm toy and a posable, non-transforming, battle-damaged Bumblebee figure very similar to the Robot Replicas toy, yet surprisingly utilizing none of the same parts despite being on an identical scale. This set comes in a special window box featuring a diorama background of the battle in Mission City.
Although entirely comprised of original sculpting, such as the gimpy leg-stumps, the Bumblebee figure oddly does not feature the character's distinctive car door "wings" on his back. However, keen customisers can easily rectify this by slicing the "Robot Replicas" version's wings off and whittling their connecting plastic into simple posts that very handily plug into large holes in the tires on Final Stand 'Bee's back. In fact, these holes almost seem designed to accommodate a missing part. (Considering how all the other Screen Battles sets were apparently originally intended to feature more, or at least more elaborate, accessory figures based on their entries in an official checklist on Hasbro's website[citation needed], this seems indeed very plausible.)

Ultimate

All those extras and they couldn't make me more accurate than the deluxe class toy.
  • Ultimate Bumblebee (Ultimate, 2007)
    • Accessories:
Similar in appearance to the second Deluxe-class Bumblebee toy, albeit much larger and more complex, the 'Ultimate' version of Bumblebee also transforms into the 2009 concept Camaro. The toy features animatronic movement in robot mode (flapping wings, moving arms and a rotating head) and light-up eyes and headlights, activated by the movement or sounds made by the person playing with the toy, or by pressing his buttons, which also activate an obscene number of interactive electronic sound effects. Oddly enough, despite being mute for most of the movie, Bumblebee has a wide range of phrases (Which don't even sound like him). His chest button yields various phrases and a new version of the Transformers theme tune, while a button on his side produces blaster noises, more speech, and musical samples, including four different ones from Devo's "Whip It." This button also causes the toy to raise its cannon-arm and automatically fire a missile. Playing with the toy by moving it will make him repeat various phrases and samples activated by other features, as well as crashing battle noises, but when he is left idle, more unique phrases will be uttered inquiring where everyone has gone, as well as radio snippets to the same effect, before the toy eventually deactivates. Pressing any button will bring him back online with a cheerful shout.
Transforming the toy between modes is accompanied by the classic transformation noise, and if left unattended between modes, it will make stalling engine noises, car horn and a car alarm sounds. Once in car mode, new electronics are unlocked, beginning with the sound of an engine starting up. The chest button now activates the car's horn, and rolling the figure along will create an accelerating noise that increases the faster the toy is moved. More unique musical snippets will play as the car rolls along; when the rolling stops, brake lights activate and the tires screech. Yet more sounds are produced when Bumblebee is rolled backwards, and the car mode also features different crashing battle noises to the robot mode.
All of the toy's features can be turned off by a switch, and it has an additional "Try Me" mode which allows you to hear various sounds from the toy's various functions just by pressing the chest button.
The toy is mistransformed in the package, and all promo photos of the figure made the same mistake, presenting the car hood as a solid block resting on Bumblebee's chest. In reality, it splits up into five separate pieces to fold and collapse into a more movie-like appearance.
In the holiday season, Wal-Mart carried an exclusive "Bonus Buy" version of the toy, which had the Deluxe Brawl and Scorponok toys added as freebies. Costco also carried an exclusive version, with the 3" Titanium Series version of Bumblebee packed in. However, it did not include the display stand.

  • Ultimate Bumblebee bonus pack (Costco exclusive two-pack, 2007)
    • Accessories:
A Costco-exclusive special pack of Ultimate Bumblebee with Titanium Series Bumblebee (see below) as a bonus figure. Neither toy is changed from its respective original release.

  • Ultimate Bumblebee Bonus Value pack (Wal*Mart exclusive multi-pack, 2007)
    • Accessories:
A Wal*Mart-exclusive special pack of Ultimate Bumblebee with Deluxe Class Decepticon Brawl and Scorponok as bonus figures. None of the three toys are changed from their respective original releases.

Fast Action Battlers

Fast and actiony.. you know, for the kids!
  • Plasma Punch Bumblebee (Fast Action Battler, 2007)
    • Accessories: Projectile
Fast Action Battlers Bumblebee transforms from concept Camaro to robot with a considerably simpler transformation than the standard deluxe toy, intended for the slightly younger set. His main "gimmick" is a spring-loaded missile launcher in his right arm. As is also the case with Ultimate Bumblebee, the toy is mistransformed in the package, and all promo photos of the figure make the same mistake, presenting the car hood as a solid block. In reality, the chest/bumper consists of two rotating pieces which can pivot down so as to more accurately emulate the appearance in the movie.

It's Buckaroo Banzai! The latest issue!
  • Rally Rocket Bumblebee (Fast Action Battler, 2008)
    • Accessories: Projectile
A repaint of Plasma Punch Bumblebee. It transforms from concept Camaro to robot with a simple transformation. The right arm is a spring loaded missile launcher. As is also the case with the original Fast Action Battlers Bumblebee, the hood is presented as a solid brick.

Cyber Slammers toys

A Battlecharger for the new millennium.
  • Bumblebee (Classic Camaro Cyber Slammer, 2007)
Cyber Slammers Bumblebee is an amazingly cute 1976 Camaro that transforms into an amazingly cute Autobot buddy of human characters. "Slam" his robot mode down into car mode and he rolls along for a while, then snaps back up into robot mode.
This toy was also made available during the 2007 holiday season as a freebie "Bonus Buy" packaged with Cyber Stompin' Optimus Prime at Wal-Mart stores.

And so, Bumblebee rejoins the Throttlebots.
  • Bumblebee (Concept Camaro Cyber Slammer, 2007)
The second Cyber Slammers Bumblebee figure toy transforms into a Concept Camaro and shares no parts with the previous Cyber Slammers Bumblebee figure. Like all Cyber Slammers, the toy features motorized action. When you push down on the car, it zooms forward, then pops up into robot mode! Sure to please the toddler you brought with you to the PG-13 movie. Like most Cyber Slammers, Bumblebee manages to cram most of his vehicle mode's major details into a compact, super-deformed version of that mode.
This toy was later redecoed into Cliffjumper.

Trans-Scanning

whY mY SHoUlDeRs hUrT?(Now I know how Hot Shot feels)
  • Bumblebee (2008)
    • Japanese ID number: TS-02
    • Accessories: Display stand
Trans-scanning Bumblebee is a Japanese-exclusive figure with many interchangeable parts. At its most basic, the figure is a spindly skeleton referred to as a "Core Body". To this skeleton, two sets of armor pieces can be attached to create one of two forms for Bumblebee: his protoform mode or his Earth mode.
The protoform mode consists of eight pieces of golden plastic that plug into the arms, chest, pelvis and legs of the figure. With these pieces attached, the figure can be manipulated in a manner that might charitably be called "transformation" into his meteor-like "entry mode," accomplished by doing little more than tucking the head out of sight and folding the chest back. This golden-and-grey lump can be mounted on a three-piece stand that comes with the figure, allowing you to display it in mid-plummet. Bumblebee's Earth mode, meanwhile, is made up of nineteen armor pieces (including a particularly large backpack) that form a rather kibbly robot mode, which can then transform into a Camaro Concept.
Bumblebee also includes a pair of interchangeable, open-palmed hands that can be swapped out for the clenched fists that are in place in-package. The Core Body mold was re-used for the simultaneously released Trans-Scanning Optimus Prime figure.

Cyber Stompin' robots

These boots were made for—you know the rest.
  • Bumblebee (Cyber Stompin' Robots, 2007)
Cyber Stompin' Robots Bee is a large electronic action figure, featuring a rather cutified design. He's got electronic lights and sounds up the whazzoo and fires missiles and a fist. He totally plays the original theme song.
Later in the year, Wal-Mart stores sold this toy as a "Bonus Buy" item, which came with a free Cyber Slammer Barricade attached to the box back.

Robot Replicas

Heli-pack not included
  • Bumblebee (Robot Replicas, 2007)
As part of the Robot Replicas sub-line, this version of concept-Camaro Bumblebee is a non-transforming action figure that hews very close to the movie's CGI model. It features joints similar to the Revoltech toys, plus his right forearm can be replaced with his blaster-arm (or any other arm attachments from other Robot Replicas, which could lead to some fun Frankensteins). For some reason, he's closer to orange than his normal yellow.

Micro IR Transformers Cars

Drives and shoots!
  • Bumblebee (2007)
Made by RadioShack under license from Hasbro and Dreamworks. The three-function infrared remote, in Bumblebee's signature colors, gives you control of the car with forward and reverse turn movement. More than just a car styled after the Movie character, the car also transforms to robot mode. The top of the gun-shaped IR remote's barrel serves as a display stand. The tip of the gun barrel can also be unscrewed, revealing a pen (!) inside.

Titanium Series

Special feature: Can't talk, just like the real Bumblebee!
  • Bumblebee (Robot Masters, 2007)
    • Accessories: Movie-style Autobot sigil display stand
This Bumblebee is a three-inch tall painted mini-statue of his 1976 Camaro body form. He features die-cast in his torso and thighs, and he has swivel joints at the shoulders, head and waist. Oh, and he comes with a Movie-style Autobot logo base to stand on.
This item was also packed in with Ultimate Bumblebee as a Costco-exclusive set.
This mold was later used to make Titanium Series Cliffjumper for Revenge of the Fallen.

Revenge of the Fallen

Legends Class toys

Designed for the impulse buyer in all of us.
  • Bumblebee (Legends, 2009)
    • Japanese ID number: EZ-03
Revenge of the Fallen Legends class Bumblebee is based upon the updated Camaro Concept featured in the movie (unlike the 2007 Legends class Bumblebee which was based on the 1976 Camaro). Compared to the previous Movie Legends, he has better, more accurate detailing and proportions (or as accurate as can be obtained at this pricepoint).

Surely he will blend into the crowd with this look!
  • Recon Bumblebee (Legends, 2009)
Recon Bumblebee is a redeco of the regular Legends-class Bumblebee, featuring new details such as different stripes, a pattern on his doors and an Autobot insignia on his hood.

Hasbro isn't too creative with this type of thing...
  • Stealth Bumblebee (Legends, 2010)
Stealth Bumblebee is another redeco that inverts Bumblebee's colors, giving him yellow stripes on a black body.

The special edition, only available in Japan one is LESS detailed?!
  • EZ Collection Stealth Bumblebee (Legends, 2009)
This black redeco of Legends class Bumblebee is available exclusively with standard Revenge of the Fallen DVDs purchased at various stores in Japan. Its deco is similar, but not identical, to that of Hasbro's Stealth Bumblebee, using less-detailed car-mode stripes and less robot-mode deco.

Bumblepee
  • EZ Collection Clear Bumblebee (Legends, 2009)
Clear Bumblebee is made partly from translucent yellow plastic, but uses the same opaque black plastic and paint applications as the mass-retail Bumblebee. He is only available with Revenge of the Fallen DVDs purchased at Tsutaya stores in Japan, and only comes with the transforming Bumblebee DVD-case version.

More Legends Bumblebee! MORE!
  • Bumblebee vs Shadow Striker (Legends two-pack, 2010)
The Bumblebee mold was given new paint applications for this two-pack with Shadow Striker, such as cyberglyphics on his doors. The two-pack was exclusive to Target stores and eligible for the "N.E.S.T. Global Alliance" promotion.

Deluxe Class toys

File:Bumblebeerotfpreviewtoy.jpg
Yes, you're buying this mold again. Surprise!
  • Bumblebee (Deluxe, 2009)
    • Japanese ID number: RA-03
    • Accessories: Projectile
Released as part of the preview series of figures for Revenge of the Fallen's toyline alongside Soundwave, Bumblebee is a retool of the Camaro Concept Bumblebee mold, feature a new vehicle front end, hood and wheels to reflect the changes to the prop vehicle used in the movie; and in robot mode has a new, more accurate headsculpt. His right arm has been retooled to accommodate a built-in spring-loaded plasma cannon, replacing the converting plasma cannon/blade weapon from the previous version of this mold. Don't look at his eyes for too long, you'll have nightmares.
Strangely, the missile for his right arm is slightly too long for the slot in the arm itself, so it either has to be slightly cut down to fit or the cannon must be swiveled outwards to accommodate the missile. (This has been fixed in later releases, such as the European market). Also, instead of having movie accurate gray colored "toe" sections on his feet like the later 2007 figures, his toes are painted yellow ...on top of yellow plastic. Oookay...

New from the ass up!
  • Cannon Bumblebee (Deluxe, 2009)
    • Japanese ID number: RA-14
This extensive retool of Bumblebee changes the entire upper half of the robot mode, and thus half of the car, to newly designed parts, including more articulated arms with open palms, less obstructive vehicle kibble, a differently transforming chest, and two flip-out (non-firing) missile launcher racks behind his head. Only the legs remain unaltered from the original version of the mold. Interestingly, his arms can be detached and easily popped onto the original mold, resulting in a more show-accurate robot mode, though this sacrifices transformation. This extensive retooling results in a car interior with seats and a crude dashboard, but the windows are so opaque that these new details can't easily be seen. A variant with clear blue windows was released in later shipments.
His "heels" are assembled backwards, which keeps them from being folded up against the back of the shins. Disappointingly, his chest cannot deform like the previous releases of this mold (or his Fast Action Battler, which still has a deforming chest).

Yeah, we're going to get one of these every few waves.
  • Alliance Bumblebee (Deluxe, 2009)
    • Japanese ID number: RA-27
    • Accessories: Projectile
Alliance Bumblebee is a redeco of the Revenge of the Fallen Preview Bumblebee. He now has several black thick black stripes across the hood and roof, stripes and NEST logos across the doors and side fender panels. He also has black arms, legs and torso to match this new colour scheme, instead of the more accurate grey colours seen in the previous release and Cannon Bumblebee. The yellow shoulder pieces are now pinned in place.

Blame it on kids... Wal-Mart... Target... Hasbro... okay blame EVERYONE.
  • Battlefield Bumblebee Vs. Infiltration Soundwave NEST set (Deluxe 2-pack, 2009)
A redeco and retool of Cannon Bumblebee with a new head featuring his battle mask, close to Stealth Bumblebee from the 2007 movie line. He was only available in a two-pack with a redecoed Soundwave. Also included in the packaging is a "Mission Guide" catalog and ordering form for the mail-in exclusive Recon Ravage, a "starter sticker" for said ordering form, and a NEST Global Alliance iron-on patch. Two additional stickers from specially-marked NEST Global Alliance products and $4.95 shipping are required for the promotion. The promotion to get Recon Ravage was only available in North America, and Recon Ravage was available in most other markets at a retailer exclusive.

Human Alliance

NOT a headmaster.
  • Bumblebee / Sam Witwicky (Human Alliance, 2009)
    • Japanese ID number: RA-21
    • Accessories: 2 Missiles
Human Alliance Bumblebee comes with a posable figure of Sam Witwicky that can fit inside in Bumblebee's vehicle mode (plugging into his seat via a small hole in his back) and drive him. In robot mode, Bumblebee's vehicle-mode seats end up on his arms, and Sam can sit in either of them; the seat on Bumblebee's right has a headrest that can fold down to look slightly less conspicuous in robot mode, while the seat on Bumblebee's left arm features a pair of cannons which flip over Sam's shoulders, offering him some offensive hardware to protect his rather precarious position. Sam can also stand on a platform that flips out from the small of Bumblebee's back (again, via peg-holes on his feet), manning a small non-firing cannon that flips out over Bumblebee's right shoulder. Finally, Bumblebee's left palm also contains a peg, meaning Sam can securely stand or sit in his big buddy's hand. Bumblebee himself features a spring-loaded cannon for his left arm, which can fire the two missiles the figure comes with, a flip-out double-barreled silver cannon that points over his head, and a functional flip-down battle mask. Much like the rest of his Human Alliance brethren, Bumblebee is roughly the same size as an Alternators toy, being slightly taller than Alternators Mirage in robot mode.
Modders, vindicated by the prototype.
There is a significant misassembly issue with Bumblebee: according to TakaraTomy's images of the resin prototype as well as Bumblebee's CG design, the retail toy's legs are on the wrong sides of his body, so the details on his legs are inverted. Since the instructions reflect this assembly, it's possible that this was done on purpose because with the toy in its originally intended assembly, the waist section could be rather difficult to transform for children. The toy's originally intended assembly can still be easily achieved by disassembling his crotch and reassembling the legs backwards. Once this is complete, Bumblebee will look the way he was intended to look, while adding some minor extra steps during transformation.

Ultimate

Now available in expensive.
  • Ultimate Bumblebee Battle Charged (Ultimate, 2009)
Revenge of the Fallen's Ultimate Bumblebee is a retool of the 2007 version, with new rims, hood, front fenders. He also features a new, more accurate head sculpt with a battle mask. This time, his sound chip plays Stan Bush's "The Touch".

Fast Action Battlers

Faster and Actiony-er... you know, for the kids!
  • Pulse Blast Bumblebee (Fast Action Battler, 2009)
Pulse Blast Bumblebee is a retool of 2007's Plasma Punch Bumblebee, with updated vehicle mode parts to reflect the changes in the prop Camaro vehicle, along with a new, more accurate head sculpt. Like the 2007's Plasma Punch photo, stock photographs by Hasbro neglect to tilt the car front fender panels.

I hate sand... it's so coarse and rough.
  • Sand Attack Bumblebee (Fast Action Battler, 2009)
Sand Attack Bumblebee is a redeco of Plasma Punch Bumblebee, not using the retooled parts of Pulse Blast Bumblebee. The deco itself consists of a sand-blasted-like camouflage pattern, or alternatively, a sand-worn appearance.

Gravity Bots

The evolution of Jumpstarters!
  • Bumblebee (Gravity Bot, 2009)
    • Japanese ID number: GB-02
Plonk him down. Lift him up. Plonk him down. Lift him up. This addictive toy transforms automatically when stood up (vehicle to robot), or placed on his back (robot to vehicle). A switch underneath his feet or his car mode releases the transformation -- so the toy can be played with in relatively stable modes if held in the air, or just rolling along the ground.
Because gravity is the powering force in the transformation there's no motors to wear out or batteries to use up when playing with the toy. Which is good, because you will be transforming him no less than nine million times.
Bumblebee features dumpy proportions and low movie accuracy (no door wings here), forced upon the toy to accommodate the Gravity Bots transformation gimmick. His robot mode has no articulation, not even head. But at least he has big feet! Or legs... or whatever the heck they are. Stump? At least he has a big stump.

Hasbro, once again showing their uncreativity.
  • Bolt Bumblebee (Gravity Bot, 2009)
A redeco of Gravity Bots Bumblebee in a predominantly black colour scheme that recalls 2008's Stealth Bumblebee redeco of the Deluxe class Bumblebee toy.

Battle Chargers

You know, you shouldn't think too hard about this.
  • Bumblebee (Battle Charger, 2009)
Part of the Robot Powered Machines subline, Battle Charger Bumblebee is a super-deformed Concept Camaro with a pull-back motor. When pulled back and let go, the car's roof flips open and Bumblebee's equally cutesified robot mode pops out.

Or this. Bumblebee giving birth to himself can wreck your mind.
  • Stealth Bumblebee (Battle Charger, 2009)
A redeco of Battle Charger Bumblebee in yellow-on-black. Again.

Transformers (2010)

Legends Class toys

Impulse Buying Evolved.
  • Cyberfire Bumblebee (Legends, 2010)
This redeco of Legends class Revenge of the Fallen Bumblebee features a paint deco inspired by Transformers Animated Bumblebee.

Deluxe Class toys

About freaking time, Hasbro.
  • Battle Blade Bumblebee (Deluxe, 2010)
    • Japanese ID number: AA-02
This entirely new Deluxe class Bumblebee features a much more accurate sculpt in robot mode compared to previous versions of Deluxe class Camaro Concept Bumblebee, with the transformation scheme taking many cues from Revenge of the Fallen Human Alliance Bumblebee, scaled down to Deluxe size, while using an Automorph design for the leg transformation directly based on the original Deluxe Class Concept Camaro Bumblebee. Despite the very similar looks, Battle Blade Bumblebee uses no parts from previous toys, everything about him is an entirely new sculpt.
His right hand can be switched out for his cannon by opening the arm guard, flipping out the cannon barrel, folding away the right hand and folding the cannon over to the wrist. Due to how the parts were distributed on the plastic sprues during production, the cannon barrel is yellow rather than grey. The left arm-guard has a flip-out axe made of transluscent blue plastic, representing the axe weapon Bumblebee uses in the Revenge of the Fallen video games, which itself is possibly based upon the electrical stinger that was once considered as a melee weapon for Bumblebee in the first movie. The axe is spring-loaded, activated by a button on his arm-guard. This version of Movie Bumblebee also features a flip-down battle mask, very similar to Human Alliance Bumblebee. In other words, pure premium awesome-sauce.
Stock photos show that the axe was originally made in such a way that the blade was mounted on a rod and could be rotated downwards, but this was changed entirely for unknown reasons (possibly fragility). As a result, the blade is mounted upside-down.
The Japanese Autobot Alliance release features marginally darker yellow plastic and paint.

  • Special Edition Battle Blade Bumblebee (Deluxe, 2010)
As part of their "Transformers 'Fan of the Year' Competition" at the Animation-Comic-Game Hong Kong (ACGHK) material-entertainment fair 2010, Hasbro Hong Kong offered a one-of-a-kind vacuum metallized Battle Blade Bumblebee for whomever happened to spend the most money purchasing Transformers products at Hasbro's booth over the course of the fair. The figure is presented in a wood and perspex display case.

Bumblebee walks down to Electric Avenue, then takes Thrust lower.
  • Crash Landing Attack (Target exclusive 2-pack, 2010)
A redeco of the first Revenge of the Fallen deluxe Bumblebee, this version is fluorescent yellow and blue. The car doors and hood feature a new deco of overlaid black and silver streaks, as well as a solid black stripe down the middle with a large silver Autobot symbol at the front. It is packaged with a redeco of Thrust. It is also G2-a-licious.

Hasbro, you tease. Give us a Wasp!
  • Bombing Run Battle (Walmart Exclusive 2-pack, 2010)
A redeco of Cannon Bumblebee in a brighter yellow with dark pine green replacing the former toy's metallic teal. The windows are cast in transparent green plastic with green trim and the outsides of his arms are also painted green. Additionally, there is a green stripe running across and between the fenders on each side with green accents on the face and helmet as well. The face has been painted silver and lacks the pupils of the previous deco. His thumbs are now black and the tailpipes have been painted gunmetal. The tiny Autobot symbol by the driver's side door has been replaced with a larger white one on the right rear window. He came packaged with a Legends Grindor redeco.

  • Rampage Among The Ruins (Toys "R" Us Exclusive 3-pack, 2010)
Essentially a redeco of "Bombing Run Battle" Bumblebee (using the same shade of yellow plastic) but using the head of the NEST 2-pack Bumblebee head. All of the green parts have been replaced with a chocolate brown including the tires with brown stripes over his eyes which run across the top of his battle helmet. The thumbs and insides of his upper arms are also painted brown. The windows are clear and untinted. He has a brown "wash" over his lower arms and on his doors probably to simulate caked on dirt or mud. There are also silver "scratches" on both doors as well as the driver's side of the hood. He has a tiny black-on-white Autobot symbol on his lower abdomen. Unlike previous versions of this mold, the rear lights, tailpipes, and lower front headlights are unpainted. Bumblebee was packaged with redecoes of Rampage and Ravage and available exclusively Toys "R" Us stores.

Human Alliance

The Evolution of Repacking!
  • Bumblebee w/ Sam Witwicky (Human Alliance, 2010)
    • Accessories: 2 missiles
A slight redeco of the first Human Alliance Bumblebee in new gold Transformers packaging. Bumblebee now has green eyes while Sam is a new mold with a white shirt and a teeny tiny head.

Battle Ops

File:Battle Ops bumblebee both.JPEG
When Bumblebee has a toy as tall as Prime... things are getting bad.
  • Battle Ops Bumblebee (2010)
Battle Ops Bumblebee is a large (roughly leader size) new mold with "guardian" and "warrior" robot modes, which changes weapons and sound effects. He has a flip down battle mask, a right arm that converts to a plasma cannon, and two shoulder/hood missile launchers (non-functional).
As revealed at the Hasbro designers panel at BotCon 2010, an easter egg is hidden in Battle Ops Bumblebee's electronics: a button on one of the front wheels when pressed several times will play the first verse of the the original Transformers theme song, and subsequent presses will play further verses.

Activators

Expect repaints... LOTS of repaints.
  • Bumblebee (Activator, 2010)
Activators Bumblebee is a small and simple toy with cutesified proportions. By pressing a button on his vehicle mode roof, he autotransforms into robot mode.

Many redecoes.
  • Rally Rumble Bumblebee (Activator, 2010)
A redeco of Activators Bumblebee with a black hood and rally-themed markings. His yellow plastic is distinctly... yellower than his usual orangey yellow color.

Power Bots

Can't we get a Cliffjumper for once Hasbro?
  • Stealth Bumblebee (Power Bot, 2010)
A redeco of Revenge of the Fallen Power Bots Bumblebee in his recurring black "stealth" color scheme. It remains to be seen if his lights or sounds have been changed.

Masterpiece

  • Bumblebee (2010)
    • Japanese ID number: MPM-2
Masterpiece Movie Bumblebee is a redeco of Battle Ops Bumblebee. He is a large (roughly leader size) new mold with "guardian" and "warrior" robot modes, which changes weapons and sound effects. He has a flip down battle mask, a right arm that converts to a plasma cannon, and two shoulder/hood missile launchers (non-functional).
Unlike the Hasbro version, he features a very extensive paint job including chromed rims, and features no yellow plastic despite his appearance. Instead all of his yellow parts are painted over gray plastic, to give it as close to a Movie like appearance as possible.
Among other notable plastic color changes, the TakaraTomy version features a clear colorless left hand rather than clear blue like the Hasbro release.

Transformers (2007)

Lunchables

  • Bumblebee ("Pocket Transformers" toy prize, 2007)
A fold-out "pseudo-figure" of Bumblebee "transforms" from a flat, yellow plateform decorated with the Autobot symbol and the word "Transformers" to a robot by folding out. Bumblebee is represented by stickers decorated with artwork of the character on the top, bottom, and two fold out "arms". His name is also spelled out, across his feet in this mode.
This mold was also used to creatre the lunchables figure for Optimus, and Ironhide. A similar mold was used to creature the Lunchables figure for Megatron, Blackout and Starscream, though with the Decepticon symbol sculpted in instead of the Autobot one. Each itiration of this mold was made with a different color of plastic.

Well, that's original.
  • Bumblebee AllSpark Blaster (2008)
The Bumblebee AllSpark Blaster is one of several Movie Roleplay toys. The toy consists of a a blaster attached to Bumblebee's (hollow) hand which a child can slip their own hand inside like a glove and wield. Laser blaster mode features laser pulse sounds and a "laser flare beam" (lights), while the plasma cannon mode has "plasma pulse lights" and explosion sounds.

Bumblebee Voice Changer

A Voice Changer Helmet for a character who has no voice and talks through the radio.
  • Parts: Antennas(l+r), Side pieces (l+r), Helmet top, Adjustable straps (pre-installed), Battery cover (pre-installed), Switch retainer (red!), AAA batteries (3), Helmet.
The Bumblebee voice changer helmet, much like the Optimus Prime helmet from 2007, is a detailed helmet designed to... uhh... change your voice. Oh! And to make your head look like a highly detailed, and movie accurate replicate of Bumblebee. The helmet is nearly fully enclosed around the head, unlike the Prime helmet, and is adjustable so it can be sized to fit adults and children. The helmet is really, really yellow.
The helmet features three different buttons, the voice mixer, battle phrases and conversion sounds buttons.
The voice mixer button makes the helmet modulate your voice and play wicked beats at the same time so you can get down with your bad self. The battle phrases are meant to sound like random radio mixing, but really sound like a couple of guys in a studio yelling at a microphone with silly voices. Enjoy fun phrases like, "You are no match for my new kung fu!" in a delightfully bad Chop Socky voice! However, there are at least a few radio voice clips from the actual movie. The conversion sounds button plays the transforming sound, or if you hold the button down plays the transforming sound as if it were being remixed live by a DJ on a turntable. Okay, y'know... like with a baby scratch or a backwards loop or something.
The helmet has three play modes. There's demo, on and the parents' favourite, off. The helmet comes packaged in the demo mode with a switch retainer to keep it there. You'll need to take that sucker off to put him in the all important on mode. But don't throw it out! It's a really pretty red.
In order to avoid language barriers, the European version doesn't play battle phrases. However, later releases did feature voiceclips.

FIGHTING TO SAVE THE WORLD!
  • Bumblebee Plasma Cannon (2009)
The Plasma Cannon is a stylized version of Bumblebee's fist that converts to a plasma cannon roleplay toy when the barrel is slid forward or the trigger is pulled. When fired, a ring of red lights around the barrel flashes (totally awesome). If the trigger is only pulled half-way, a "charging" sound is made. There is also an Autobot sigil on the side that, when pressed, causes sound effects to be heard. These include conversion noises, a revving engine, and clips from Stan Bush's "The Touch" (also awesome, but only in the "Try Me" setting, which is not quite as awesome).

Burger King

You will press the button over and over just to make the Noise.
  • Change-Up Bumblebee (2009)
This Burger King toy is a representation of Bumblebee's concept Camaro vehicle form; though Bumblebee's four wheels are molded in, he has three extra wheels underneath to provide the ability to roll out. Pressing a button on his roof will play a sound clip of the G1 transformation sound effect and a small projectile will be launched from his front grill. The projectile has a sticker showing his robot mode on it. Flicking a switch on Bumblebee's underside will silence the sound chip, so the button will only launch the projectile.

  • Nightwatch Bumblebee VS Patrol Barricade (2010)
    • Series: Battle Series 2
    • Number: 02 of 06
For the second series of two-packs, the Speed Series Bumblebee mold was redecoed in the common "inverted" color scheme of yellow on black. Aside from the regular yellow hubcaps that are common with this deco, Nightwatch Bumblebee has huge Autobot insignias covering the sides of the car. He was again packaged with Barricade, now redecoed blue. Like all toys in the SpeedStars line, Bumblebee's Autobot insignia on the base of his vehicle mode has not been included, despite what the package art depicts.

Notes

Are you calling me yellow? ... wait.
  • A weapon considered for Bumblebee was a pair of arm-mounted electrical stingers. The Bumblebee Camaro '09 toy's blade weapon might have been influenced by this early concept.
  • Stock photos of the Revenge of the Fallen Legends-class Bumblebee toy show it in a much brighter shade of yellow plastic than it was released as. The reason for this change is unknown.
  • Battle Blades Bumblebee is, so far, the most accurate transforming movie Bumblebee to date.
