Ed Gilbert, born Edmund F. Giesbert (June 29, 1931 - May 8, 1999) was an American voice actor. He passed away in 1999 of lung cancer. Some of his more notable voice roles include Baloo from Disney's Talespin, Looten Plunder from Captain Planet and the Planeteers, General Hawk from G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, and El Seed from The Tick.
Gilbert was also a prolific entomologist and published a number of papers under his birth name.
