• August 17 — "Hell Day": The Decepticons led by Shockwave invade Earth with Teletran 3's teleportation ability, and devastate the planet. G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers II issue 3

• September 27 — The Vortexx programming block makes its final broadcast in markets where the entire block was shown on Saturday mornings.
• October 13 — Hub Network re-launches as Discovery Family, on which Hasbro programming only airs in daytime.
