Oilmaster is a Decepticon Pretender from the Generation 1 continuity family.
Gorilla my dreams

Oilmaster (オイルマスター Oirumasutā) is one of the Decepticons' most feared bounty hunters! Acidic oil pumps and flows from his every orifice. He may have some anger issues.

TRUKK AND MUNKY!!!!!

In 2034, Oilmaster tracked the Decepticon fugitive Magnificus (and his tiny pal Ga'mede) to Iron Town, a remote hideout for outlaws. Magnificus was able to briefly halt the bounty hunter's advance by tossing a warhead at him, but the subsequent damage done to Oilmaster's shell only made him angrier. As he leapt out of his Pretender shell, sword in hand and ready for the killing blow, he was blasted by a strange interloper who called himself "Hawk". Badlands

Wings Universe

Wings Universe is based on the Generation 1 cartoon, but deviates from it in cosmetic ways and continuity points.

Oilmaster was part of the Decepticon forces that repelled back the Cybertronian invasion of Cybertron. He was miniaturized, kept in Magnificus's chest, and then enlarged by his partner once they hit the battlefield. A Common Foe

  • "Oilmaster"
The toy that would decades later be named Oilmaster was an abandoned, unreleased toy from a discarded expansion to the Pretender toyline. "Oilmaster" had a gorilla-like shell, from which two robots would emerge. Two potential decoes are known, with the grey-furred/red armored one having been on display at BotCon 1996.

Oilmaster is a redeco of Generations Legends Class Swerve and Flanker which fit into a newly-sculpted Pretender shell designed by Boss Fight Studio after the original unreleased Oilmaster toy, with the Swerve redeco colored in homage to Oilmaster's inner robot from Badlands. The shell has shoulder and neck rotational joints, 5mm pegholes in its wrists, plus two 5mm pegholes on its back for storage. His shell weapons are from Construct-Bots sets.
Oilmaster comes with Battletrap, Packrat, Megatron, and Stepper.

Notes

  • Oilmaster is named in homage to fan blogger "Abura Chojin" ("Oil Master"), who's a noted gorilla enthusiast in addition to being an extreme super-robot fan!
  • The Double Pretender gimmick of being two robots within a single shell was not apparent in his first fictional appearance.
