The name or term "Evac" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Evac (disambiguation).
Evac is an Autobot from the Transformers: The Ride – 3D portion of the live-action film continuity family.
Please make sure your lap bar is securely fastened and keep your hands and arms inside the car and outside of Ravage at all times.

Evac is a little new at this, but don't worry. He's had plenty of NEST training, and the last thing he's going to do now that he's finally getting his shot at the front lines is let something happen to his cargo, whether it's Autobot MechTech technology, a load of new NEST recruits, or even the last shard of the AllSpark! He's as quick and as nimble as they come, but his combat training means he can hold his own in a firefight, too.

In theory, anyway.

Fiction

Prepare for Battle prequel material

Evac was the youngest of the Knights of Cybertron, a group dedicated to protecting the All Spark and prevent its misuse.

After the All Spark was lost in space, the Knights were approached by Megatron for a deal in which he would surrender in exchange for amnesty. The Knights reluctantly accepted, because they wanted peace for Cybertron. In this encounter they brought all of their numbers, except for Evac, who stayed behind. When it became clear it was a Decepticon trap the Knights contacted Alpha Trion, who was unable to help, and in turn he contacted Evac and gave him coordinates that would lead him to Optimus Prime and hopefully the All Spark.

Evac wandered across the universe for centuries looking for Optimus and the All Spark, attempting to find other Autobots who had escaped Cybertron, but to no avail.. After much searching, he reached Earth, where his signal was received by Soundwave and Optimus Prime. Optimus met with Evac and welcomed him as part of Autobot team. Evac told him of his career as a Knight of Cybertron, and afterwards was shown the last shard of the All Spark. When Evac came in contact with it, an energy flowed through his body and merged with his systems. The energy gave him hyperspeed and a third mode, a courier that could transport the last shard of the All Spark. Optimus then granted him the title of guardian of the All Spark, and ordered him to transport the shard from one NEST base to another alongside key NEST personnel. Optimus also told to Evac not share his origins with anyone, to prevent the Decepticons from finding out about him. Prepare for Battle (website)

Evac's first important mission on Earth began at a NEST base at Universal Studios, where he was assigned to transport you, your fellow trainees, and the last remaining shard of the AllSpark. Unfortunately, before he could get underway, Ravage broke into the base and attempted to steal the shard. Bumblebee was able to fight the Decepticon off and get the shard to Evac, who (along with his passengers) blasted free of the base and out into the city streets. With the help of Optimus Prime and Sideswipe, Evac survived a gauntlet of Decepticons including Grindor, Sideways, Bonecrusher and even the gargantuan Devastator.

Unfortunately, his escape from Devastator left him in the clutches of Starscream. Escaping with the aid of NEST helicopters, Evac attempted to help Optimus defeat Megatron high atop a building, but the two were ultimately forced to sacrifice the AllSpark shard to win, with Evac driving it into his enemy's chest and sending his lifeless body to the streets below. Evac fell as well but was saved by Bumblebee. He was then congratulated by Optimus and returned to NEST, passing under Megatron's body smashed through the pavement, and told the recruits they could ride with him anytime. Cyberverse

Remain seated please. Permanecer sentados por favor.
  • Evac (Cyberverse Legion, 2012)
    • Series / Number: 2 / 009
    • Japanese ID number: EZ-13
    • Accessories: Blaster
Part of the second wave of Series 2 Cyberverse Legion Class toys, Evac transforms into an enclosed-canopy version of his Transformers: The Ride – 3D "supercar" vehicle mode. He comes with a translucent red double-barreled blaster which he can either hold or mount in various 3mm ports on his body.
His blaster, in varying colors, was also used by Bumblebee, Arcee, Hyperspeed Wheeljack, Autobot Tailgate, the redeco of Bumblebee that comes with the Bumblebee Battle Suit and 2014 Transformers Protectobot Groove.
The United States market release of Evac used the Transformers: Prime-based Series 2 Cyberverse Legion Class packaging style but lacked the "Prime" moniker. The multilingual European market packaging, meanwhile, retained the Prime title.
Furthermore, the stock photos featured on the back of his packaging (which depict a hand-painted prototype) place his Autobot insignia on the left side of his hood/chest, whereas the final product has it tampographed at the front, slightly to the right.

Seriously, this toy is virtually impossible to neatly place under one specific toy line.
  • Evac (Cyberverse Legion, 2012)
    • Accessories: Blaster
An unchanged version of Evac was also available in Transformers: Universal Studios packaging, sold exclusively at (where else?) Universal Studios theme park stores. This version is co-branded Universal Studios and Cyberverse.

Universal Studios

The only Transformer you can actually be inside of.
  • Evac (Deluxe, 2012)
    • Accessories: Abdomen blasters
Universal Studios Deluxe Class Evac is a larger-scale toy. He features molded seats where passengers and ride-goers would sit in the real thing, and is armed with four non-firing guns: one on each arm, and two on the sides of his abdomen, the latter of which end up inside his vehicle mode grille. In an undocumented, possibly unintended feature, the abdomen guns can detach and are molded together on a rod which can fit in his hand, due to the fact that his hands are molded to accommodate 5mm posts. His shoulders, forearm guns, and heels/vehicle roof feature C joints.
Although he is packaged in robot mode, the front side of the instructions show vehicle-to-robot instructions and the back has the robot-to-vehicle instructions.

Notes

  • Evac's vehicle mode is the car people sit in for the Transformers 3D ride, though the toys add a canopy. It is essentially the same vehicle, albeit reskinned, used in the similar Spider-Man ride also at Universal Studios.
  • Evac's design is a modified version of Roadbuster, with a new head (resembling Sideswipe) and altered vehicle kibble.
  • His Cyberverse Legion Class toy (the version in Universal Studios packaging) features different package art compared to his Deluxe Class toy, as well as a different set of Tech Specs.
  • The final version of Evac's Deluxe Class figure lacks the weapon shown in images of the prototype, as well as the 5mm port for it in the roof.
  • Though the Knights of Cybertron were said to be branded with glyphs, Evac himself doesn't show any sign of them. They were probably part of his Cybertronian mode and he lost them when he got an Earth mode.
