Evac is an Autobot from the Transformers: The Ride – 3D portion of the live-action film continuity family.
Please make sure your lap bar is securely fastened and keep your hands and arms inside the car and outside of Ravage at all times.

Evac is a little new at this, but don't worry. He's had plenty of NEST training, and the last thing he's going to do now that he's finally getting his shot at the front lines is let something happen to his cargo, whether it's Autobot MechTech technology, a load of new NEST recruits, or even the last shard of the AllSpark! He's as quick and as nimble as they come, but his combat training means he can hold his own in a firefight, too.

In theory, anyway.

Fiction

Prepare for Battle prequel material

[edit]

Evac was a junior member of the Knights of Cybertron, a group dedicated to protecting the AllSpark and preventing its misuse.

After the AllSpark was lost in space, the Knights were approached by Megatron, who offered to surrender in exchange for amnesty. The Knights reluctantly accepted, bringing all their members together for a meeting except Evac, who stayed behind. This proved to be a trap, and the Decepticons laid waste to the Knights, with Evac left as the group's lone survivor. Alpha Trion contacted Evac and sent him Optimus Prime's coordinates, hoping he would be able to lead Evac to the AllSpark.

Evac wandered the emptiness of space for centuries in search of Optimus and the AllSpark. Approaching Earth, he transmitted a signal in the hopes of finding any other Autobots, which was intercepted by both Soundwave and Optimus Prime. Optimus tracked Evac's signal and welcomed him onto his team. When Evac explained his history with the Knights, Optimus showed him the last remaining shard of the AllSpark. As Evac touched it, its energies rushed into Evac's systems, granting him both hyperspeed and a third mode, a courier that could safely transport the shard. Optimus granted him the title "Guardian of the AllSpark", ordering him to transport the shard between NEST locations alongside key NEST personnel. Optimus also told Evac not to share his origins with anyone, to prevent the Decepticons from finding out about him. Prepare for Battle

Toy bios

[edit]

Evac has been used to dodging laser fire, as he spent his entire life putting up with Decepticons getting in his way. Though they have tried to stop him, they have never succeeded. No matter how overwhelming their attack, Evac knows that with Optimus Prime and Bumblebee covering him, nothing will stop him from delivering his passengers safely. Evac (Deluxe)

Blistering speed and lightning-fast reflexes make Evac more than an effective courier. They make him a frighteningly powerful warrior. His speed often catches Decepticons by surprise, allowing him to strike and move before they can return fire. Cyberverse Evac

Transformers: The Ride – 3D

Evac's first important mission on Earth began at a NEST base at Universal Studios, where he was assigned to transport you, your fellow trainees, and the last remaining shard of the AllSpark. Unfortunately, before he could get underway, Ravage broke into the base and attempted to steal the shard. Bumblebee was able to fight the Decepticon off and get the shard to Evac, who (along with his passengers) blasted free of the base and out into the city streets. With the help of Optimus Prime and Sideswipe, Evac survived a gauntlet of Decepticons including Grindor, Sideways, Bonecrusher and even the gargantuan Devastator.

Unfortunately, his escape from Devastator left him in the clutches of Starscream. Escaping with the aid of NEST helicopters, Evac attempted to help Optimus defeat Megatron high atop a building, but the two were ultimately forced to sacrifice the AllSpark shard to win, with Evac driving it into his enemy's chest and sending his lifeless body to the streets below. Evac fell as well but was saved by Bumblebee. He was then congratulated by Optimus and returned to NEST, passing under Megatron's body smashed through the pavement, and told the recruits they could ride with him anytime. Toys

[edit]

Cyberverse

[edit]
Remain seated please. Permanecer sentados por favor.
  • Evac (Cyberverse Legion, 2012)
    • Series / Number: 2 / 009
    • Accessories: Blaster
  • Known designers: Joe Kyde (Hasbro){{#if: |, {{{2}}}}}
Part of the second wave of Series 2 Cyberverse Legion Class toys, Evac transforms into an enclosed-canopy version of his Transformers: The Ride – 3D "supercar" vehicle mode. He comes with a translucent red double-barreled blaster which he can either hold or mount in various 3mm ports on his body.
His blaster, in varying colors, was also used by Bumblebee, Arcee, Hyperspeed Wheeljack, Autobot Tailgate, the redeco of Bumblebee that comes with the Bumblebee Battle Suit and 2014 Transformers Protectobot Groove.
The United States market release of Evac used the Transformers: Prime-based Series 2 Cyberverse Legion Class packaging style but lacked the "Prime" moniker. The multilingual European market packaging, meanwhile, retained the Prime title, thus arguably making it a separate character. In addition, TakaraTomy's EZ Collection release was also co-branded under Super Robot Lifeform Transformers: Prime.
Furthermore, the stock photos featured on the back of his packaging (which depict a hand-painted prototype) place his Autobot insignia on the left side of his hood/chest, whereas the final product has it tampographed at the front, slightly to the right.

Seriously, this toy is virtually impossible to neatly place under one specific toy line.
  • Evac (Cyberverse Legion, 2012)
    • Accessories: Blaster
An unchanged version of Evac was also available in Transformers: Universal Studios packaging, sold exclusively at (where else?) Universal Studios theme park stores. This version is co-branded Universal Studios and Cyberverse.

Universal Studios

[edit]

You may love all Transformers, but you'll only take a ride inside this one.
  • Evac (Deluxe, 2012)
    • Accessories: Abdomen blasters
Universal Studios Deluxe Class Evac was available only at the gift shops for Transformers: The Ride at the Universal Studios theme parks. It features molded seats where passengers and ride-goers would sit in the real thing, and is armed with four non-firing guns: one on each arm, and two on the sides of his abdomen, the latter of which end up inside his vehicle mode grille. In an undocumented, possibly unintended feature, the abdomen guns can detach and are molded together on a rod which can fit in his hand, due to the fact that his hands are molded to accommodate 5mm posts. His shoulders, forearm guns, and heels/vehicle roof feature C joints.
Although he is packaged in robot mode, the front side of the instructions show vehicle-to-robot instructions and the back has the robot-to-vehicle instructions.
In 2015, Evac (as well as the "exclusive" versions of Bumblebee and Optimus Prime) were re-released in new packaging similar to the Age of Extinction toys. The toys themselves appear unchanged.
As of at least June of 2021, Evac was once again available in Universal Studio's gift shop for Transformers: The Ride, in new packaging.

Kre-O

[edit]
The Kreon version of Evac was part of a Universal Studios theme park exclusive box set of Transformers characters who actually physically appeared in the park. He uses the Vehicon helmet, only without the metal magnetic strip on the top. The packaging marks him as an "exclusive figure", which is true, but technically all of the figures in the set are exclusives since these decos are not available in any other set. But this is the only set where you can get an Evac Kreon of any kind, whereas sets with some version of Optimus, Megatron and/or Bumblebee are not exactly hard to come by. After several years of only being available at the park proper, the 4-pack was eventually added to Universal's online store.
In 2015, a new run of the set was produced, this time using the new-mold 2015-style Kreon bodies (and a logo-plate rather than the 2x4 logo brick). Evac was further changed from the original by having his clip-on turbines/cannons done up with silver chrome rather than metallic plastic. This set would later see slight production changes; all of the figures' tampographs have gone back to thicker lines and being a bit sloppier, while Evac's medium-gray plastics have been lightened and lost much of their pearlescent sheen.
In mid-2020, the set was revamped again, now removing Evac and replacing him with the N.E.S.T. Sentry. As of this writing, the Evac version of the set is still available via Universal's online store.

Movie Edition

[edit]
  • Evac (Tiny Turbo Changers, 2018)
    • Series: 3
    • Bag Code: F
Released in series 3 of Tiny Turbo Changers, Evac is a blue redeco of the series 1 Crosshairs figure, which makes him somewhat akin to Age of Extinction Hot Shot.
