The name or term "Wreckage" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Wreckage (disambiguation).
Wreckage is an Autobot-allied Mini-Con from the Energon portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.

Wreckage is a powerful Mini-Con who combines with his teammates to form an even more powerful weapon: the legendary Energon Saber. He and his teammates spent years embedded in energon deposits which apparently gifted them with the ability to form a blade composed primarily of the powerful element. Like his teammates, he considers being an individual important but has a high regard for teamwork as well. Some believe this team may hold the key to the ultimate defeat of Unicron.

Fiction

Wreckage and the other component Mini-Cons of the Energon Saber escaped an attack on Mars City by Tidal Wave and Scorponok, fleeing the station's destruction. He then accompanied Optimus Prime's team when Alpha Q sent his forces to attack Plains City. The Mini-Cons formed into the Energon Saber, allowing Kicker to beat up some Terrorcons, and was then wielded by Ironhide against Scorponok. Megatron's Sword

Wreckage and his fellow Mini-Cons were once in their combined configuration when Megatron launched an attack on Lunar City. Though Ironhide had hoped to wield them in this form, Kicker confiscated the Energon Saber, and used it as a hoverboard to charge into the fray himself. Starscream the Mysterious Mercenary

Wreckage was present at a briefing, during which Optimus Prime told his troops that they still had much to do, even now that the Energon Grid was in place to keep Earth safe from Decepticon attacks. Later, when Ironhide, Kicker, and Skyblast pursued Hot Shot to Mars after he left under mysterious circumstances, they brought along the Mini-cons in their Energon Saber configuration, just in case. Unfortunately, the blade proved rather ineffective against the aggressive Rodimus and his allies. Rodimus Friend or Foe?

Ironhide took with him the Energon Saber when he stowed away on Rodimus's spaceship to infiltrate Unicron's head. He was first attacked by Cruellock Terrorcon drones and then by Scorponok as he skulked about Unicron's interiors. During both confrontations, the blade was knocked out of his hand, leaving Ironhide to use his wits and built-in weaponry to defend himself. A Tale of Two Heros When Kicker joined Ironhide within Unicron's head, he used the Energon Sabre to beat up Alpha Q in order to bring out the being's true face. Alpha Q: Identity After securing an alliance with Alpha Q, Kicker called on the Energon Sabre to break up a fight between Rodimus and Optimus, who came to blows over how to deal with Unicron. Each One Fights... Destructive Power

Energon comic

Wreckage and the other Energon Saber Mini-Cons waited with Kicker Jones in the lower levels of Ocean City for the arrival of Sharkticon, who was making a rather sad attempt to silently infiltrate the city. The three Mini-Cons formed the Energon Saber, and in Kicker's hands, sent Sharkticon back into the briny deep. Perspective
