This article is about the little boy from Zone. For the little boy from Headmasters, see Kane.
Cain is an alien from the Zone portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Ecstatic that he just slew Abel.

Cain (カイン Kain) is a former resident of the planet Feminia. He is not a girl. After the Nine Great Demon Generals destroyed his homeworld, he moved to planet Zone to live and work with the Autobots. He is best friends with an Earth boy named Akira and has a talking pet bunny-bird named Emusa.

By god, what horror. A poor boy, whose home has been lost. His people, his very world, devastated by the Decepticons. It is only thanks to his friendship with the Autobots that he could possibly find joy.

Cain, rescued by Victory Saber, and transported in Galaxy Shuttle, found himself on Zone, surrounded by technology and robots. Not that he minded, even if his pet rabbit-thingie did. This, it turned out, was still no safe haven. When the Decepticons attacked Zone, Cain was forced to leave that planet, joining the Autobots in pursuit of the Decepticons.

This took them to the planet Earth where Cain met a new friend, a young boy named Akira. He helped the Autobots to rescue Akira, and when the fighting was over admired the... beautiful scenery. What a wonderful world Earth was—almost as beautiful as Cain's lost home. Enter the New Supreme Commander, Dai Atlas! Transformers: Zone

The single Zone manga story was basically a shortened retelling of the OAV episode, but came out three months before it did.
Well then.

Later, Cain, Akira and Emusa were present on the Earth's moon when Metrotitan attacked the "Zone City" stationed there in defense of the planet. As Metrotitan obliterated both the base and Galaxy Shuttle, the three escaped the destruction in Rabbicrater. Zone story page #8

Returning to Earth, the three felt the effects of Metrotitan's new weapon, the "Freeze Beam Gun". Road Fire made short work of Metrotitan, ending this threat. Zone story page #9

Violen Jiger himself then came to Earth, intent on stealing the Zodiac. He plowed through the Powered Masters to grab the Galaxy Rocket, both obtaining the Zodiac and abducting Emusa, Cain, Akira and Moonradar in the process. Zone story page #10

The Powered Masters followed Violen Jiger to the mysterious Tenth Planet, where Violen Jiger split into three insect monsters. Roadfire defended the Galaxy Rocket from Lenja, saving the captives inside. Zone story page #11

After the Powered Masters defeated Violen Jiger's final form with their Zodiac-fueled Rainbow Powered Attack (... no, really), sunlight returned to the Tenth Planet. The Zodiac rainbow remained in the sky, causing the world to sprout greenery and flowers. Though Cain, Akira, Emusa and the Transformers all came from different worlds, they realized they'd need all their strength and each other's help to make this new world a peaceful one. As Cain and Akira ran through a field of flowers together, holding each other's hands, Emusa placed one in Akira's hair. Zone story page #12

Notes

Don't ask what his power level is.
  • Cain's name is written with the katakana used to render the name of the biblical Cain, hence the spelling used on this wiki.
  • It is strongly implied that Cain and Akira are romantically attracted to one another. So yes, that would make them gay.
  • Cain and his Zone chums went through some notable redesigning before they made it to the small screen. As illustrated at right, Cain was originally golden-haired and had a scarf. Also, dressed like Pegasus Seiya.
