Operation: Screen Captures

I don't know which episodes these are from - feel free to tag them with {{MFcap}} or {{Energoncap}} if you know!

Pages to delete for moves

Since, obviously, it's hard to pick those out from all of my automated edits, the following pages need to be deleted so that articles can be moved: BuggyMan, Big Convoy, Legion. I'll let you know if there's any other ones. Saix (talk) 07:46, 12 March 2016 (EST)

Red Wing still needs to be deleted so Red Wing (MW) can be moved. Saix (talk) 12:52, 1 April 2016 (EDT)
Oh! My apologies. I was flying through them and didn't notice that one had a different deletion reason. I'll try to take better care to check the deletion reason in future. --abates (talk) 15:23, 1 April 2016 (EDT)
It's alright! Thanks for getting to that. Saix (talk) 15:27, 1 April 2016 (EDT)

If you get the time, could you delete the following: Airachnid, Dalton, Kicker, Headlock? All of the Hot Rod (G1) redirects probably need to be deleted too, since we have TLK Hot Rod now. Saix (talk) 06:26, 3 January 2017 (EST)

Thanks for the above. Could you also take care of Blitz? Saix (talk) 10:26, 5 January 2017 (EST)

And Thunder, now I've noticed it. Saix (talk) 10:15, 6 January 2017 (EST)
No problem! --abates (talk) 21:18, 6 January 2017 (EST)

Can you move "Sparky (Robotix)" to "Sparky"? S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent 47 (talk) 15:49, 8 January 2017 (EST)

As well as "Beamer (Autobot)", "Ace (G.I. Joe)", "Bolt (G1)", "Twister (Armada)", "Boomer (G1)", "Loco (RID)", "Pincher (G1)", and "Gong (Go-Bots)"? S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent 47 (talk) 16:17, 8 January 2017 (EST)
Some of those didn't actually need an admin to move them (it's only if the target redirect has been edited that you need to have admin privileges) but they're all done now anyway. --abates (talk) 16:40, 8 January 2017 (EST)
Thanks, abates! S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent 47 (talk) 16:49, 8 January 2017 (EST)

Can you move "Obsidian (Kre-O combiner)" to "Obsidian (Kre-O)"? And "Hot Rod" to "Hot Rod (G1)"? S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent 47 (talk) 17:39, 21 January 2017 (EST)

Can you move "Slash (AOE)" to "Slash"? S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent 47 (talk) 03:46, 23 February 2017 (EST)

Done! --abates (talk) 03:50, 23 February 2017 (EST)
Thanks! S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent 47 (talk) 03:51, 23 February 2017 (EST)

Image upload preview

Hey abates, are you aware of how the summary box Preview button when uploading an image works? Looking to get it on the IDW Hasbro Wiki, but I can't find anything relating to it in either of the TFWiki CSS files, and have no idea how else it could be triggered. Thanks. Jalaguy (talk) 07:10, 3 January 2017 (EST)

It's in MediaWiki:Common.js, should be easy to spot! --abates (talk) 15:07, 3 January 2017 (EST)
Ah, excellent, forgot that was a thing! Thanks! Jalaguy (talk) 18:05, 3 January 2017 (EST)
I keep meaning to get around to changing it to filter out the error message that comes back with the preview, but if you want to have a try, feel free! --abates (talk) 21:37, 3 January 2017 (EST)
Oh, pfft, I'm not sure my meager JS knowledge would stretch to that... On a related note, though, I've yet to actually get this working on the IDW wiki. Don't think it's cache related since it's been a couple of days now. D'you know if there are any other chunks of code the preview function needs to work, or is it more likely to be some random incompatibility with ShoutWiki's MediaWiki installation? Jalaguy (talk) 11:57, 5 January 2017 (EST)
ShoutWiki is using Mediawiki 1.28 versus our 1.19, so I think it's likely to be something's changed between versions that broke the Javascript. I tried Googling to see if there was an update to the preview code (not sure where Derik got it from), but it looks like preview is now built in possibly. --abates (talk) 14:34, 5 January 2017 (EST)

And another thing...

Sorry for more queries, but d'you know if there's a potential tweak to Template:Nav on GBWiki that would put the logo above the text box, on the right, instead over in the middle? I've figured the right alignment but don't know enough markup to get it up above the box... Thanks. Jalaguy (talk) 14:37, 9 January 2017 (EST)

The whole thing's already in a table, so you should be able to just change style="width: 100%;" at the top to style="float: right" and add a |- to start a new row right after the imagemap. --abates (talk) 15:22, 9 January 2017 (EST)

Fistfight (SG)

Thanks for letting me know why you reverted my Fistfight (SG) edit. Transhuman explicitly states his colors, and since This character has no official visual representation whatsoever... yet, at least... i thought the article should mention his deco. And, since so many SG characters take their color schemes from their G1 namesakes' rivals, Tyrannitron (partnered with one of the Dinobots, known for squaring off against Shockwave) seemed like a good guess at authorial intent--but it is just a guess. (Catgut is orange and black, too.) Hopefully this is cleared up in a more concise, humorous fashion in my new edit. --Rhymus (talk) 21:02, 22 January 2017 (EST)

Wait, when did Tyrannitron square off against Shockwave? His only fiction seems to be Games of Deception, and the summary for that seems to suggest Shockwave was reduced to a head at the time. --abates (talk) 06:09, 23 January 2017 (EST)
Sorry. What I meant was, the G1 Dinobots are known for squaring off against G1 Shockwave, G1 Tyrannitron is a G1 Dinobot's partner and G1 Fistfight is G1 Shockwave's partner, so it makes sense to me that G1 Tyrannitron likely inspired SG Fistfight's deco. --Rhymus (talk) 00:31, 20 February 2017 (EST)
That sounds like a bit of a leap to me! --abates (talk) 03:32, 20 February 2017 (EST)
