Hraal Karza was born on the desert world of {{#if:||Aegis-6}} and was trained by the {{#if:||Sandmen}} at an early age. The Empire contracted the Sandmen to suppress a rebellion when the planet {{#if:||Kronos}} revolted against the empire. Karza served them well and eventually became a guardsman for the planet's emperor, and eventually rose to become the planet's Minister of Defesnse. He genetically re-engineered his Sandmen colleagues into the elite {{#if:Acroyear|Acroyear|Acroyear (soldier type)}} warriors.
During this time, Karza met Shazraella, who would become his future wife—after the two colluded to assassinate her betrothed, the Emperor's son the {{#if:||Red Falcon}}. When the Emperor succumbed to grief-induced madness, which grew worse when a destructive entropy cloud began expanding from the very heart of Microspace. Karza, Shazraella, and {{#if:Daegon|Daegon|Baron Daegon}} placed the Emperor in stasis while the trio ruled the empire. The entropy storm continued to worsen, sparking a schism between Karza and Daegon which grew into a civil war. Karza's suspicions about the entropy cloud proved correct when he discovered an aged version of his own helmet, and he deduced that the storm was a rift in time rather than space. The New Colossus
In the midst of his war against Daegon, Karza and his crew briefly took on a strange castaway—the Transformer Windblade, who had had her consciousness cast across time and space to learn about the crisis that threatened this universe. Shazraella interrogated the Cybertronian for a while before Windblade could make her escape. Informed
After the Micronauts fled into the entropy storm, Baron Karza decided to follow them, in a last ditch effort to save billions of lives. However, whereas only a few days passed for the Micronauts, Karza ended up spending years within the cloud, making numerous discoveries which warped his mind. No longer content just to save his people, he now hoped to shepherd them into a new age of prosperity. Upon detecting the Heliopolis, Karza hailed the ship and spoke to Oz Rael, reflecting on how long it's been, much to Phenolo-Phi's confusion. Microtron informed Oz that Karza's signal was coming from the same source as the energy they were following. Karza welcomed the Micronauts to the birthplace of Microspace and the grave of their progenitor: the body of Micronus Prime. Micronauts: Revolution

Karza had spent many years examining the workings of the comparatively colossal mechanoid, eventually discovering the spacebridge technology embedded in the giant and attempting to open communication with other realities—hoping to refine the cloud into a weapon he could use to conquer his universe. The New Colossus As he learned more about this distant dimension, he cut a deal with the human military leader Miles "Mayhem" Manheim and the alien Dire Wraiths: Mayhem would give them control over Earth's ample supplies of Ore-13, which they would split between themselves, and in return Mayhem would receive dominion over Earth. While Scarlett expressed her worry about Optimus Prime's annexation of Earth making a target for invaders, Baron Karza looked upon a holographic projection of the planet. Secret Raiders
Using the spacebridge located within Micronus's body, O Ship of State Karza began transporting Ore-13 from Earth into Microspace. He was displeased that he only managed to get 60% of the Energon he had locked onto. The Divine Source of Liberty Although Miles warned him that his actions were putting Earth in danger of destruction, Karza ignored his requests to stop and reactivated the spacebridge... only for huge chunks of Ore-13 to suddenly emerge from the portal and begin detonating. He was displeased at this development. O Ship of State Shortly afterwards, Karza discovered a massive cache of Ore-13 beneath Autobot City. Mayhem suggested that the time had come to drop the illusion and go in for an all-out assault. Then Wraith leader Caleb Awan betrayed Miles Mayhem, forcing the human to summon Karza through the Cybertronian technology within Metrotitan's spacebridge portal. Though Awan initially scoffed at the diminuitive warlord, Karza soon got the upper hand by Enerchanging with the Dire Wraiths and transforming into a gigantic, monstrous fusion of Microspace, Transformer, and Dire Wraith. The New Colossus

Baron Karza unleashed his full power on the assembled heroes and villains, taking advantage of Mayhem's continued attempts to mislead the forces of M.A.S.K. into attacking the Transformers while absorbing the powerful Ore-13. When the combatants realized that Karza was the true enemy behind the madness, they refocused on Karza. The colossal Baron slugged it out with Victorion, only to overwhelm her by unleashing several Wraiths from within his chest. Windblade ordered Metrotitan into the air, but Karza managed to grab Optimus Prime in his hand before the Prime could be airlifted to safety. Realizing that he'd been betrayed, Mayhem rammed his Switchblade into the monster, loosening Karza's grip on the Autobot. Karza tumbled to the ground, where Soundwave, Rom, the Micronauts, Mainframe, and Matt Trakker used the spacebridge to send the defeated villain back into Microspace. Valley Forge
