He's one of the guys who first encounter Blackout at SOCCENT Forward Operations Base, and managed to get a picture of him. He was nervous, however, as he thought the giant robot saw him. He and his fellow survivors later fought Scorponok. When military aircraft arrive to provide air support, he gives them clearance to fire by shouting, "Bring it!".
He is notable for being basically the only minority character in the film to not be a ridiculous stereotype.
