- Hot Shot is an Autobot and Rescue Bot from the Aligned continuity family.

One day, Hot Shot could be among the greatest of Autobot heroes. Unfortunately, his desire to get there as soon as possible makes him prone to showing off around his more experienced peers. Maybe he'll eventually learn to stop diving head first into dangerous situations, but until then Heatwave will be stuck keeping him out of trouble.

While playing Cube with his friends on Cybertron, Hot Shot was approached by Optimus Prime who invited him to train as a Rescue Bot. Despite his misgivings, Hot Shot went to Earth, only to screw up the first test rescue and lose a stacking game to Wedge. Recruits Part I He was ready to give up and return to Cybertron when Optimus presented him with the Mul-T-Cog Badge, bestowing upon him the ability to use an additional jet and hovercraft mode, though he could only pick one alternate mode per day. He successfully won a race against Wedge using his jet mode, however when the recruits attempted a cave rescue, Hot Shot realized his jet mode was useless there. The other recruits encouraged him not to give up, and he was instrumental in completing the rescue. Recruits Part II
As the result of another rescue, Hoist made new attachments for the other recruits, including a sonic blaster for Hot Shot. If at First... During another rescue exercise, Hot Shot badly damaged Tough Luck Chuck and was forced to babysit the robot while new parts were found to repair him. His attempts to foist the duty off onto the other recruits resulted in Chuck escaping the training center, and they had to hunt Chuck down in Milford. Tough Luck Chuck Hot Shot was so bored by Chase's class on police codes that he started playing a hand-held game to pass the time. He and the other recruits persuaded Chase to let them try to do a practice rescue, and ended up being rescued themselves by Whirl when they got stuck in the snow. Whirl'd View When the recruits didn't understand why Boulder was having them plant flowers, the Rescue Bot set them a task which taught them that all parts of nature are important. Plan Bee
Hot Shot and the other recruits were bugged when Wedge borrowed the trigger for the rescue alarm and had them constantly running drills to get their response time down. The Bot Who Cried Rescue When the recruits found out that the residents of Griffin Rock were carving the faces of the Rescue Bots into a mountain, Hot Shot decided to add his own face to the monument, endangering the nearby dam. Mount Botmore Hot Shot and Wedge ended up disregarding Hoist when their fellow recruit was put in charge of a rescue mission, and as a result, their own efforts almost ended up in disaster. Mission Inaudible After completing a simulated rescue, despite a glitch occuring, the recruits took part in a real rescue in Griffin Rock which was only successful because the glitch gave Medix an idea to complete it safely. After a ride on the Sigma, the recruits assumed the four command chairs meant one of their number wouldn't graduate. The team went on to botch a volcano rescue drill after staying up all night worrying, until Heatwave told them they'd assumed wrong. Five Into Four When Whirl was filming footage for a recruitment video, Hot Shot showed off his target shooting skills and almost destroyed the camera. He and the others later helped whip the footage into a usable state. Rescue Promo Hot Shot botched a rescue mission and tried to blame it on the other recruits. Heatwave assigned him to watch the rescue monitors, but after he went off to do a rescue on his own and the other recruits had to go help, he admitted his failure. Blame Game Hot Shot and the other recruits set up a surprise rescue mission for Medix, who didn't get the appeal of surprises. Unfortunately the mission did not go well, and the other recruits promised to stop with the surprises. Surprise, Medix!
Hot Shot attempted to cover up the fact he'd never used a TX3000 before when five of them were loaned to the rescue center for the recruits to try out. As a result, he almost botched a rescue and had to admit his inexperience. The TX3000 The recruits had to round up a lost flock of sheep, but were hampered by Hoist malfunctioning. Little Bot Peep

Rescue Bots Academy

- Off-Road Rescue Hot Shot (2018)
- Hot Shot is functionally a significantly scaled up version of Bumblebee's rock-crawler toy from the "Rock Rescue Team". Transforming into an ATV and with elements based on his Rescue Bots Academy design, Off-Road Rescue Hot Shot is a 10-inch tall toy that transforms from a robot to a red 4WD rescue truck with an “Easy 2 Do” conversion. Hot Shot features a button on his chest that activates lights and sounds, including a light up chest and eyes and a flashing lightbar. When opening the roof of the vehicle to form his arms, the classic transformation sound plays.
- Hot Shot (2018)
- This version of Hot Shot is an extensive retool of the Rescan VTOL jet version of Bumblebee, with most parts significantly modified. Hot Shot now transforms into a jet or plane, with his signature chest harness now forming the front of the plane. A blue windowed cockpit sits near the rear wings.
- The original version was also differently retooled into the Rescan series VTOL version of Blades which, oddly enough, was later redecoed and given a new head for his teammate Whirl in the "Academy Rescue Team" box-set.

- Hot Shot (2019)
- Previewed at Toy Fair 2019[1], this Hot Shot is a retool of the fireboat version of Heatwave, transforming into a hovercraft.

- Academy Rescue Team (2019)
- Like Offroad Rescue Hot Shot (above), "Academy Rescue Team" Hot Shot is based on Bumblebee's ATV mode from the "Rock Rescue Team", but now back in the original Rescan size. First previewed at Toy Fair 2019[1], he is retooled similarly to his larger counterpart, with a new head and new chest harness detail, but lacks the light and sound gimmicks and has a slightly different deco layout. He comes in a set of four, similar to the previous "Griffin Rock Rescue Team", with Whirl (retool of VTOL jet version of Blades), Wedge (retool of cement mixer Salvage) and Hoist (retool of Rescan Hoist).
Notes
- Hot Shot's Rescue Bots Academy design is near-exclusively based on Armada Hot Shot, but with a red ATV mode instead of a yellow car (presumably to distinguish him further from Bumblebee).
