The mysterious Star Power (スターパワー Sutā Pawā), also referred to as the "power of stars" (星の力 hoshi no chikara), is the mystical lifeblood of the Primus Vanguard. It is contained in eight known vessels:

• The Silver Matrix — held by Primus, the leader of the Primus Vanguard; this matrix can carry all seven Star Powers at once
• The α Matrix — Blue Matrix of the Blue Order
• The Matrix Saber — White Matrix of the White Order
• The Creation Matrix — Green Matrix of the Green Order
• The Matrix Buster — Red Matrix of the Red Order
• The Matrix Gauntlet — Yellow Matrix of the Yellow Order
• The Black Legendisc — Black Matrix of the Black Order
• The Purple Matrix of the Purple Order

The effects of Star Power vary by color. It has been observed to bust ghosts, grant new toys forms, heal wounds, and even manipulate time.

Experts postulate that if all Star Power were ever united in one vessel, the bearer could destroy the universe itself and harness the life force of the world to follow.

Blue Big Convoy focused the energy of the α Matrix coursing through his body to bust some Specters real good with the Blue Pèlerinage, a matrix-empowered blast from his cannon. Blue Big Convoy comic

Primus's unleashing of the Silver Matrix to combat the Vok threat would precipitate a flurry of Star Power activity as the race to gather all eight matrices began:

• Optimus Prime used the power of the Silver Matrix to upgrade himself into Star Convoy.
• Star Convoy jammed the Silver Matrix into his ion blaster (yes really) to devastate the Novaroid swarm menacing the Blue Planet with the Big Bang Cannon. Star Convoy comic

• Galvatron resonated with the Star Power infused in Star Convoy to become Super Megatron.
• Super Megatron used the power of the Silver Matrix to become Ultra Megatron. Super Megatron comic 1
• Blue Big Convoy used the power of the α Matrix to heal Optimus Prime's wounds.
• Ultra Megatron used the Silver Matrix to sap the α Matrix of Star Power and ascend to Ultra Megatron Omega. Super Megatron comic 2
• Red Sentinel Prime (ineffectually) fired his Matrix Buster at Terrormander in an attempt to prevent the theft of the same. God Neptune comic 1
• The ghost of Blue Big Convoy (effectually) fired the Matrix Buster at God Neptune.
• Megatron Omega began to absorb the Star Power of the Matrix Saber, Matrix Buster, Black Legendisc, Matrix Gauntlet, and Creation Matrix into the Silver Matrix before getting chopped clean in half by Halfshell.
• Halfshell subsequently used the Star Power of the five matrices to revive God Neptune. God Neptune comic 2

When the Zodiac was inserted into Optimus Prime's chest, the artifact's "power of stars" resurrected the hero as Star Convoy. The Battlestars part 5

Both Kenzan and Gekisoumaru used the Black Legendisc to obtain special dark coating for their bodies that improved their stealth capabilities and heat resistance. It also greatly increased their combined forms' power.
