This article is about the Generation 1 Transformer. For the Transformer from the Aligned continuity, see Azimuth (COP).
Azimuth is a Transformer from the 2019 IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Confusion that never stops, robots that turn into clocks.

Azimuth is a sensible geologist.

Fiction

2019 IDW continuity

Azimuth, Geomotus, Beachcomber and Landmine investigated some unusual tectonic activity in the Cybertronian wilderness at Highbrow's request. However, while on a routine survey, they stumbled across the irate Leviathan, who had fallen into a fissure. Azimuth suggested that she could simply transform and climb out, but Leviathan angrily pointed out that her vehicle mode was her true form now.

As another quake struck, Azimuth's team investigated the site only to be attacked by members of the Rise, finding themselves caught in the middle of the firefight when Novastar's team arrived. Tremors

No toy of Azimuth has been officially released, but her appearance in IDW's Transformers comic gives her in a body based off the silver MC-6 Kronoform toy... however, see "Notes" for more on that.

Notes

  • Azimuth is, of course, a straight cross-continuity transplant of the Azimuth from the Aligned continuity family, who first appeared in The Covenant of Primus. Though Azimuth did not physically appear in the Covenant of Primus book, "Ask Vector Prime" revealed that she had a body based on on one of Takara's MC-6 Kronoform toys. While "Ask Vector Prime" established that she was based on the gold Kronoform toy, this comic gives her a silver color scheme, which likely stems from the photo on Azimuth's wiki article more prominently displaying that figure.
