Dot Malto
- Dot Malto is a human from the EarthSpark continuity family.
A veteran of the Transformers' war on Earth, Dorothy "Dot" Malto was looking forward to a simple life away from it all, with a new job as a park ranger, raising her family in peace in the quiet town of Witwicky, Pennsylvania. But fate conspired and she found herself right back in the middle of the Transformers' affairs, as both a new member of the secretive government organization G.H.O.S.T., and as the adoptive mother to the Terrans, an entirely new form of Cybertronian life born on Earth.
Dot is a marked contrast to her bright and goofy husband Alex, being tough as nails, pragmatic and often cynical. And while she is a warrior through-and-through, it is born of a deep, seemingly inexhaustible well of love. She delights in Alex's game nights and even the schmaltziest shows of affection bring a huge smile to her face. And while she can be unbending in her rules, she is extremely open in showering love on her kids; both her biological children Robby and Mo, and the ever-increasing numbers of newly-created Terrans who fall under her care. There is no risk she won't take, no threat she won't stare down, run down or gun down, to protect her family. Her sheer unwavering determination in protecting others has not just greatly impressed Optimus Prime, who considers her an invaluable ally, but has even resulted in a genuine friendship with the reformed Megatron.

Dot met and married Alex Malto. Serving as a US Army lieutenant during the Transformer war on Earth, Dot led a platoon in the Battle of the Bay and was wounded in the line of duty, losing her right leg. Age of Evolution, Part 1 She later participated in the Battle of the Spacebridge, and was there to witness it and the war reach their conclusion. Warzone Following the end of the war, she gave birth to Robby and Mo, and worked with Megatron as part of Platoon Cyberstrike. Secret Legacy, Part 2
Years later, Dot managed to score her dream job of park ranger, moving her and her family from Philadelphia to Witwicky, though the move was hard on Robby. On her way to her first day on the job, Dot stumbled on a crashed G.H.O.S.T. convoy, and was joined by Optimus Prime and Elita-1, the former of whom revealed that G.H.O.S.T. had arranged her park ranger job to relocate her near to their HQ. Secret Legacy, Part 1 Joined by Megatron, the group's investigation of the area turned up nothing, so they headed into town where they found Robby, Mo, and two new Transformers, Twitch and Thrash, being menaced by Arachnamechs. Following the kidnapping of the two newbies, Dot took part in rescuing them from Mandroid, and insisted that she and Alex take guardianship of them. Secret Legacy, Part 2
Dot returned home to find chaos as the kids were clearing out the barn to make it suitable for Twitch, Thrash and Bumblebee to stay in. Dot took part in the disastrous Malto Family Game Night which ended prematurely due to Bee's attempts to coach the Terrans. Dot and Alex later tried to encourage Bee and after Bumblebee successfully helped Thrash and Twitch round up cows, the family reconvened for another game night. Moo-ving In Dot and Alex were forced to impose a new "No Bots in the house" rule after Twitch and Thrash damaged the kitchen. This was expanded to Mo and Thrash being grounded after they continued to break the rules, and after the pair befriended the Decepticon Swindle, Dot and Bumblebee had to come to their rescue once Swindle turned against them. Taking the kids to her work, Dot learned that there was a secret elevator in the storage room providing access to the G.H.O.S.T. HQ. Dot found herself working with Agent Schloder, who was investigating possible Decepticon activity. This led to him insisting on interviewing Dot's children, but after she took him home, he discovered the high-performance car in the barn and insisted on requisitioning it for his search. Dot, meanwhile, went to G.H.O.S.T. HQ for training and went through orientation under Optimus's supervision. The pair smuggled Robby, Mo, Twitch and Thrash out of the base after the kids were caught in a trap intended for Decepticons. Classified Dot tried to reassure Mo when the first day of school arrived. On the way to the car, she, Robby and Mo were almost run down by Thrash in motorcycle mode, after he experienced a malfunction. Friends and Family
Dot and her family, minus the Terrans, attended a G.H.O.S.T. Autobot Alliance ceremony, and had to run for cover when Nova Storm and Skywarp attacked. Afterwards, they returned to the farm, but when the message that G.H.O.S.T. had captured the two Decepticons, Optimus asked Dot to join Megatron in transporting the pair to HQ. Unfortunately it turned out to be a trap, and Dot and Megatron were captured by Mandroid. Mandroid attempted to persuade her to join his crusade against the Transformers, but she instead made a run for it. Age of Evolution, Part 1 Sabotaging Mandroid's equipment and evading his Arachnamechs, Dot succeeded in attracting attention to the base, leading Optimus's rescue party to them. After Mandroid's base turned out to be a giant mech, Dot provided covering fire as they enacted Bumblebee's plan to tangle its legs with the anchor cable from a nearby battleship, and she ultimately used the ship's cannons to blast a hole in the mech, taking it down. In the aftermath, Dot met the three new Terrans, Nightshade, Hashtag and Jawbreaker, and welcomed them to the family. Age of Evolution, Part 2
Dot and Alex's worries at Hashtag going missing were shortlived, as Bumblebee and Twitch returned with the missing Terran, and Nightshade took the opportunity to show everyone the an underground hideout they'd created for the family. Hashtag: Oops Jawbreaker sought Dot's advice on interacting with his siblings and she gave him the idea to use Alex's video camera to get them to open up.
