Tracer (Micromaster)
| This article is about the G1 Micromaster. For the G1 Targetmaster, see Tracer (Targetmaster). For a list of other meanings, see Tracer (disambiguation). |
- Tracer is a Decepticon Micromaster from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Tracer is an integral part of the Military Patrol, swooping ahead of his teammates to scout out the opposition, and soften them up. He actually respects team leader Bombshock (and not just out of fear!), but still thinks he should lead the unit. Thus, he may be the only ambitious Decepticon who tries to get his superior promoted, rather than "unexpectedly dead".[1]

- First appearance: Transformers #16

Tracer was a member of The Rise, serving in "Team Stream" when Slipstream led an attack on a remote Titan Net subsidiary hub. Tracer flew ahead and stealthily took out a guard before giving the all clear for the rest of the team to approach. They infiltrated the hub and used it to launch a data-bomb, shutting down the Titans in defensive orbit around Cybertron. The Change In Your Nature Part Four Once they abandoned the hub, the remaining Titan named Vigilem launched an attack on the Winged Moon at the direction of the Rise. It was severed from the Tether which conducted its energon down to the planet below. The Change In Your Nature Part Five
As the renamed Decepticons gained power, Team Stream was dispatched to the wayward Moon to lay claim to its energon stores. Wheeljack: Orbital Decay However, a team of engineers loyal to the old regime fortified the control center to keep Tracer and the others out. Tracer was electrocuted in one of their various booby-traps. The mission went from bad to worse once soldiers from Colonial Security arrived. When the engineers blew the core and destroyed the energon storage, the Decepticons cut their losses and fled aboard Astrotrain. Moon
Tracer and Team Stream helped the Rise ambush Optimus Prime when he visited the immersant site of his mentor, Codexa. His Guard got the Prime to safety, though, with the sacrifice of Ultra Magnus. Darkness, Once Gazed Upon: Part One
Word reached Megatron that Exarchon had returned in the Sonic Canyons. He ordered many of his Decepticons to eliminate this existential threat to Cybertron, including Team Stream. On the way, however, Slipstream received coded instructions from Shockwave to stand down. Blackjack knew what a danger Exarchon posed, and that was an order he could not follow. Tracer, it seemed, agreed with him. The two abandoned Slipstream to join up with Sixshot and finish the Threefold Spark. Tracer engaged in some jet-judo with the Seeker swarm until Exarchon himself emerged in his massive Deathsaurus body and struck at them. War's End Part Two Driven to a temporary retreat, Sixshot's unit agreed to work with Pyra Magna's Autobots on scene for the good of Cybertron. They staged a follow up attack, together with the rest of the mercurial Team Stream, and Exarchon was finally vanquished. War's End Part Four
