Stronghurricane is a Laser Beast from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Captain of the Shield Battler-6, Stronghurricane (ストロングハリケーン Sutoronguharikēn) commands tremendous respect from his fellow Laser Beasts, and has the implicit trust of his fellow Shield Battlers. A veteran warrior and strategist, his endlessly calm demeanor and gift for planning has led him to victory after victory. In fact, despite him leading a semi-autonomous unit, many Laser Beast commanders won't go forward with major military operations without his input and approval.

In battle, he lives up to his name, able to create devastating gusts of wind with just his enhanced wings. He is one of only two Laser Beasts capable of controlling the combined W Battler vehicle, along with his vice-captain Killerhound. His Power Blaster Laser (パワーブラスターレーザー Pawā Burasutā Rēzā) MVP Weapon can be charged up to release a strange burst of power that causes an abnormal surge of physical energy in the struck target, which causes it to simply self-destruct.

Legends comic

The Shield Battler-6 followed Tigerburn to the Legends World in an attempt to conquer it, but failed and fled back to their own world. LG64 Seaspray & Lione Stronghurricane later took part in the final battle between the Beastformers and the Laser Beasts on Beast in 2023. Riding the Red Battler, he faced off against Big Serow in the Stag Hunter. The Road to Legends' Revival Chapter 1

In 2038, the then-peaceful Beast was invaded by Galvatron II's Decepticons. Stronghurricane was part of the joint Beastformer-Laser Beast alliance that fought against the invaders. The Road to Legends' Revival Chapter 3

Released in the "Laser Beasts" portion of the post-Transformers-branded Beastformers toyline, Stronghurricane is an anthropomorphic Eurasian scops owl in high-tech green armor. He has a transparent orb in his torso, revealing the elemental power of Fire, Water, or Wood when you look through it into a light source.

Aside from his "Power Blaster Laser" MVP Weapon, he comes with a unique owl-themed shield that can clip to his arm. This shield also be slotted into the front of a W Battler sled, and have Grencats's rifle mounted on the top via its handle, forming an armed chariot he can ride.

Stronghurricane was only available as part of the "Shield Battler-6" gift set, along with Battlefennec, Fighthorn, Grencats, Killerhound, Manteaufrenzy, and two W Battler sleds. It is possible he was released as an individual "Battle Charger" in the super-late-run European-release Hasbro Battle Beasts line (he was slated to per the Pre-Toy Fair 1988 catalogue), but no packaged samples have yet been found to confirm this.
