Lucy Suzuki is a human from the Cybertron portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.
"Back when I was conducting research at the university, I always insisted that the children be allowed out of their containment tanks for Christmas!"

Professor Lucy Suzuki is a scientist who believes that the Earth is [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Hollow Earth|{{#if:hollow|hollow|Hollow Earth}}]] and inhabited by aliens and that there's another Sun inside, and also that numerous ancient artifacts are evidence of extraterrestrial life. She dismisses her countless detractors as closed-minded fools who need to adopt the mind of a child and believe just a little bit harder.

Turns out that she's kinda almost right, in the sense that there's a hole full of aliens right where she says there is. It's just kind of a cave though, nothing too special except for the massive Decepticon army inside it.

So, yeah, she's a bit of a crackpot. She's a cheerful, generally likable crackpot though, and the Autobots warm up to her for it.

"...Oh, please, what do you all take me for? I'm obviously not talking about the control group!"

After spilling a cup of orange drink in her office one day, Prof. Suzuki went to get some paper towels to clean up the mess, and was surprised to discover Bud Hansen and Lori hiding in the supply closet. Rather than berating them or calling security, she decided to show the kids her collection of strange artifacts, one of which turned out to be an object the pair had been sent to search for by Vector Prime. Having confirmed the object, and with Bud having almost blurted out the truth about Transformers, the pair left hurriedly; as Lucy was about to stop them to ask what the fuss was all about, she was informed by her secretary that someone from the government was there to see her. Race

It's an anime series. A hot springs episode is obligatory.

That someone turned out to be Colonel Mike Franklin, who was investigating the Transformers' activities on Earth and whose attention had been caught by Lucy and her theories on aliens. A short time later, when the Autobots' activation of the Omega Lock caused an atmospheric disturbance on Earth centred on the North Pole, Lucy was invited by Franklin to be part of a conference of scientists investigating the matter. While picking up supplies for the trip at a store in Alaska, Lucy ran into Bud and Lori again, this time joined by Coby, and offered them a helping hand by buying them some parkas, since they had forgotten to pack warm clothes. In exchange for her kindness, Lucy recruited the trio to assist in her experiments. Suspecting the youngsters might know something about aliens, she tried to coax some information out of them and presented her belief in the Hollow Earth theory to them, but only got a few meaningless names. Still, she was impressed enough with their willingness not to dismiss her crackpot notions out of hand to forgo the conference and instead take them to a hot spring.

Spielberg would be proud.

Fortunately, she would soon get her wish to meet an alien when the four were attacked by Starscream and Mudflap. After the Decepticons were fought off, the kids formally introduced Lucy to Scattorshot, much to her joy. Ice

After the kids returned to Colorado, Lucy carried on into the Arctic and met up with an archeological team. They managed to dig up another robot, which immediately scanned her car before absconding. Trust While hurrying back to her lab to analyse the data she'd collected, she found herself stuck behind a roadblock set up by Col. Franklin, who greeted her with surprising warmth. Trap

Franklin realised Lucy knew something about the mysterious robots that had just launched an attack, and so took her back to his base to pick her brain. Lucy, however, didn't trust him, and refused to divulge what she knew unless he let her see his classified documents, which was an obvious no-no. Based on recent events, Lucy began to fear that the Autobots were just pretending to be the good guys, and were actually bent on world domination. Invasion

However, she decided to take a chance, and freed the Mini-Cons that had been taken captive by Franklin. The quartet then went on to rescue the also-captive Coby, Lori, and Bud, leaving their parents shocked and confused.

Fleeing the government agents, the group ran into Hot Shot and Landmine, who were out searching for them. They all returned to the Autobot base, where Lucy drew some flak upon the kids for bringing in an outsider. However, the kids defended her, and the Autobots quickly decided that Starscream's rampage across the world was more deserving of attention.

Shortly afterwards, Starscream tore through the Autobot forces single-handedly, but was defeated by Optimus Prime and Leobreaker's Savage Claw Mode. As a result, Lucy found herself facing the business end of one of Starscream's missiles but was saved by Optimus Prime. Unfortunately, this allowed Starscream to claim the Omega Lock and the three Cyber Planet Keys that had thus far been located. Retreat

Still, there were no hard feelings, and Lucy pledged her support to the Autobots. She and Col. Franklin accompanied the kids and Mini-Cons when Megatron and his team returned to Earth and started causing trouble, Revelation and she then accompanied them to Franklin's base. Critical

Later on, she got a call from Lori, who had just returned to Earth from Cybertron and wanted Lucy and Col. Franklin to persuade her and Coby's parents to let them go off to Gigantion. Lucy gave Franklin a call, and they both arrived at the Hansens' house that evening. To Lori's dismay, they both argued that this simply wouldn't be safe; however, they were quickly overridden by Optimus Prime, Vector Prime, and Landmine, who all appeared and argued in the kids' favor. The pair then watched the Autobots and kids riding off on the space bridge. Family During their absence, she and Franklin could only watch as the Unicron Singularity continued to slowly manifest above Earth. City They later observed Primus' efforts to contain the black hole from the Autobots' base. Challenge

She was present when Franklin alerted the Autobots to catastrophic events on Earth and coordinated rescue efforts by the civilian Autobots. Homecoming After that, they waited and watched for the Autobots to win. End

In the aftermath, Prof. Suzuki joined the small group of humans who would be accompanying the Transformers participating in the construction of the space bridge network. As she was boarding one of the starships, she proposed to a very flustered Franklin. Years later, they had a baby and were present for Coby and Lori's wedding. Beginning

Legends comic

[edit]

Suzuki was one of the many women brought to the Legends World by Tigatron using the ultra-drill in an attempt to get women who liked him better than Springer. It did not work out, as all of the women brought over eventually swooned over Springer. LG19 Springer

Notes

[edit]
  • Judging from Crosswise's altmode, she apparently drives a Bugatti Veyron. This makes her a very wealthy scientist.
