Ask Vector Prime

[edit]

In Aurex 105.08 Alpha, Seawave and Cradon had a falling out after they oppositely blamed the Autobots or Decepticons for the demise of Blue Max in a battle between Galaxy Convoy and Master Megatron. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/09/18

Beast Wars: Uprising

[edit]

Cradon served under Banzai-Tron in the Builders' Navy aboard the Tidal Wave. They defended the Great Rust Sea from the Resistance Navy, trying to blockade the Yuss Straits to prevent maritime access to Iacon. They failed. In the end, Banzai-Tron ordered a suicide ramming maneuver, taking the Tidal Wave straight into the Resistance flagship Broadside. Cradon lost an arm in the advance, but stayed at his post until the end. Derailment

  • Cradon (Micron, 2008)
Cradon is a redeco of the Cybertron Giant Planet Team Mini-Con Longarm, transforming into a double-armed crane truck of undetermined model. He was only available in exclusive 2-packs of Boss Coffee drink in Japan for a limited time, along with Seawave and "metallic" PVC mini-figurines of Optimus Prime, Megatron, and Starscream. The two-pack caps had decals indicating what toy was inside.
This mold was also used to make Astro-Hook, who was repurposed to be Shattered Glass Stonecruncher, and Reachout.

Notes

[edit]
  • Seawave and Cradon being Generation 1 characters was largely speculative for a long time. There was nothing directly identifying them as belonging to a specific timeline, but as all of the other pack-ins were straight-up Generation 1 characters, well. In 2015, the Facebook version of Ask Vector Prime identified them as Unicron Trilogy characters while in the following year, Beast Wars: Uprising identified them as Generation 1 characters.
  • Despite the three toys in the Giant Planet Team set being gang-molded (and thus the parts were cast for it), TakaraTomy never released the third mold from the set, the plane. Whether they were ever going to in the first place or not is unknown. Going by Seawave and Cradon's colors, the final toy would have been almost wholly bright blue. This was later referenced in the Ask Vector Prime entry about them.
