Waspinator is a native of the Legends World from the Legends portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Well you know, I'm well-informed when it comes to the universe and Transformers.

If there's a #1 fan of Transformers in the Legends World, it's Waspinator, no contest. He works at Tera-Kura Co. where expertise on transforming toy robots is surprisingly appreciated more than once.

His sons are Masuo and Takahiro.

Legends World

[edit]

Waspinator attended Transformers Celebration 2014 where he bought some Transformers toys. Legends Bonus Vol. A huge Transformers fan and employee of Tera-Kura Co., Rivals! Tera-Kura Co.! he claimed to know everything about Transformers but also refused to talk about anything else, even with clients. After an incident where he hung up on a client who didn't want to talk Transformers, his boss Megatron broke him into pieces. Buzz Buzz Buzz, Wasps Flyyy At one point, Waspinator was standing behind Rattrap in line at Ravage's toy shop. LG01 Rattrap

After being beaten again for playing with toys during work hours, Waspinator was approached by a bashful Megatron who asked to see him after work. Believing his boss was hitting on him, he protested that he didn't swing that way, unaware that Megatron just wanted to learn more about Transformers and impress Blackarachnia. President Mega's Requests Agreeing to be Megatron's personal Transformers teacher, Waspinator taught him various Transformer names through use of a song and provided him with material to study on the train. President Mega's Studies When Tankor attacked Tokyo with Roadbuster and Whirl, Waspinator recognized the latter two as Wreckers from a UK Transformers comic, interrupting Tankor's own claims that they were from an '80s mecha anime. He was promptly chased off by the annoyed Tankor. LG04 Roadbuster

During a subsequent lesson, Waspinator attempted to teach his boss about Roadbuster and Whirl's origins, but didn't get far since Megatron was distracted by fantasies about what British Transformers must be like. Whirl and Roadbuster Now on Sale, Buzz Waspinator celebrated Christmas with his sons and suggested the readers reward themselves with some Transformers purchases in the upcoming year. Merry X'mas!! Waspinator and Rattrap were present when Sky-Byte arrived in the Legends World, explaining Transformers were fictional in their world and breaking it to him that he wasn't as popular as he hoped. LG06 Sky-Byte When Megatron was acting weird during Quickstrike's job interview, Waspinator explained that the president had been watching the third movie the day before. The Results of Mega-chan's Studies Unlike Blackarachnia, he went home when the workday was over instead of sticking around to do more work. Widow-chan at Work

When Rhinox was turned into Tankor one day, Waspinator and Silverbolt similarly woke up in the bodies of Thrust and Jetstorm, respectively. Seeing a kinship between them, Tankor asked the two if they'd join him in turning the world into a paradise of original Transformers, but Thrust countered that his kids didn't know anything about characters from 30 years ago and that it's better to have lots of versions of Transformers for everyone to enjoy. Their refusal angered Tankor, and a battle broke out between the three Vehicons. I'm Tankor, dana!

When Windblade appeared in the Legends World, Waspinator initially mistook her for Nijika from Transformers 2010 and, to Megatron's frustration, was the only one to understand her explanation about the Legends World's status as a Zamojin creation. LG12 Windblade His nerdy knowledge came in handy again when Tera-Kura was invaded by another Megatron, as he was able to teach his own Megatron everything there was to know about the newcomer's history. LG13 Megatron He was present at Tokyo Toy Show 2015 where he witnessed Black Convoy causing trouble. LG-EX Black Convoy A third Megatron known as Armada Megatron later showed up and started stealing Mini-Con toys from everyone, including Waspinator. After Rattrap had chased the villain away, Waspinator claimed a stolen Dragoyell belonged to him, and not Rattrap. LG-EX Armada Megatron

Waspinator later bothered the "original Megatron" after he'd assumed the position of chairman of Tera-Kura Co. Widow-chan's Usual Day President Megatron invited him and all other employees out for a night on the town after work, but no one showed up. Autumn Megatron Festival Chapter Waspinator was present at the show floor where Tera-Kura unveiled their latest product, Nightbird Shadow, to the public. LG15 Nightbird Shadow He was at the office when Chairman Megatron recruited new employee Slipstream, LG16 Slipstream as well as when Blackarachnia was thinking about her life working under her idolized Megatron. LG17 Blackarachnia

Waspinator watched with envy when Armada Megatron began stealing all the world's Transformers toys, and was shocked to learn that he and the other toy nerds were empowering the Zamojin with their desires. He celebrated when Megatron gave up the toys, and was quick to try and claim a Unicron of Light for himself. LG18 Armada Starscream Super Mode When the Deadlock of Cloud World showed up, Waspinator was the only fan hardcore enough to recognize him from Transformers Cloud, which he taught the others about. He and the others were then sent to Cloud World themselves when SARA messed up. LG-EX Deadlock The next interdimensional visitor to run into Waspinator was the original Waspinator from another dimension! Meeting his counterpart outside of Tera-Kura Co., Waspinator offered to introduce him to President Megatron. LG-EX Rattrap This turned out to be a mistake, as the much larger and stronger Waspinator proceeded to take over the company and force its employees into servitude. Megatron rightfully blamed his own Waspinator. LG-EX Waspinator

When Chairman Megatron was seemingly killed protecting his employees from Skids, Waspinator commented that he must have been influenced by his time as a good guy in his G-2 days. LG20 Skids After his company merged with the Decepticon Headmasters, forming the "Decepticon Tera-Kura Co.", Waspinator was included on a chart showing its employees. LG22 Skullcruncher He later attended a meeting during which Chairman Megatron scolded the Headmasters. LG23 Galvatron When the Sweeps were introduced, Waspinator compared their voices to those of other Transformers. LG-26 Scourge Prologue He helpfully put a Decepticon logo on Ultra Magnus when the Autobot joined their company. LG31 Fortress Maximus

Waspinator was part of a crowd that cheered for Ginrai after he drove off Devil Z, and was presumably the only person there who knew their savior wasn't Optimus Prime. LG35 Super Ginrai At work, he was among the unlucky employees that an enraged Devil Z took out his anger on, LG36 Soundwave and got thrown around by a telekinetic Apeface. LG38 Laserbeak When a Scorponok attacked Tokyo, Waspinator correctly identified it as the Scorponok from "The Rebirth" and not The Headmasters. LGEX Headmaster Set Chapter He was present when the Dimensional Patrol searched the Legends World for the Combatrons. LG-EX Black Convoy

When Ginrai's body turned into that of Magna Convoy, Waspinator explained who Magna Convoy was. Even he didn't know which universe Convoy came from, however, so he borrowed Alpha Trion's ultra-drill to summon Delta Magnus and interview him on the matter. LG-EX Magna Convoy Waspinator was among the employees charged with hiding Metroplex's transformation cog during an attack on Tera-Kura, but failed to protect it from Full-Tilt. Decepticon Civil War When Trypticon was revived, he transformed into a monstrous mobile base mode that Waspinator couldn't identify from any previous fiction. He soon got other things to worry about, however, as Trypticon gobbled him up and used him as a power source. LG43 Trypticon He later cheered for G1 Megatron after he was elected mayor of the rebuilt Neo Akihabara City. Targetmaster Chapter Prologue

When Waspinator identified another visitor as Kre-O Megatron, the blocky Decepticon was annoyed and yelled at him about wanting to deliver his own introduction, though Waspinator held fast that introducing obscure characters was his job. During the ensuing invasion of evil Kreons, Waspinator disappeared and was replaced by Kreon Thrustinator. Special Chapter During White Leo's attempt at turning the Legends inhabitants into his new army, Waspinator was given suitably obscure Beastformer armor and did his duty by informing everyone who Doublecross was. LG51 Targetmaster Doublecross He later explained to a confused Rattrap that Minerva the robot was a separate character from Minerva the human. LG56 Perceptor By the time the Autobot Clones arrived in the Legends World, people had come to rely on Waspinator's knowledge so much they went straight to him to identify them. LG58 Autobot Clones

Waspinator was among those who huddled behind Trailbreaker's force field when three out-of-control mutant Targetmasters attacked the city, LG62 Targetmaster Windblade and was around Tera-Kura Co. fell back into the hands of Beast Megatron. LG63 G2 Megatron He witnessed Topspin repair the city after it was devastated by Windblade. LG66 Targetmaster Topspin
