It was a quiet Thursday night, Ol' Blue Eyes flowed from the radio, and my scotch hit the perfect temperature.

Synopsis

[edit]
Webster's dictionary defines "recycling" as...

In a library, Galvatron speaks of the eternal story of light and darkness, noting that it's often darkness that gets forgotten as stories are passed down throughout generations. He asks if the audience remembers the Seacons and what occurred when they returned to space and promises to tell of their fate.

In the void they were sucked into, the Seacons aboard their out-of-control photon sailer come face to face with a demonic planet. Scylla tries sending a SOS for a rescue, which is caught by Artemis and Moon at the Moon. They can't do anything about it and can only hope that the Maximals on Gaia get the call.

NAVI gets the signal, but it's weak and indecipherable. The Maximals realize that the only possible source could be the Seacons, which leads them to think back to their conflicts with the pirates. They go over events such as when Scuba and Diver stole their ship, when they teamed up with Megastorm, when Scuba and Bighorn "fought" over Scylla, when the Jointrons kidnapped Scylla, and when Lio Convoy and God Neptune had a duel. Lio Convoy wonders why they're remembering the Seacons like this, and the Maximals just brush it off.

Oooh, Remina?

As the photon sailer is about to crash onto the planet, a beam protects it from destruction, and Galvatron communicates with the pirates, claiming their wills for himself. He explains that the planet is Nemesis, an artificial one created by the Predacons' science. All of the Predacon bases on Gaia built for the consumption of Angolmois Energy were created in preparation for Nemesis's arrival. Once it is near to Gaia, all of the Angolmois Energy will be drained by the artificial planet through those bases. With this energy, Nemesis would become the prime "fortress planet" in the universe. Halfshell tries to reject Galvatron's offer of servitude, but a mysterious energy overcomes the Seacons and they dedicate their lives to the cause of the Emperor of Destruction!

In the library, Galvatron notes that the audience may think Lio Convoy and his Maximals are the strongest, as they are on the side of light, but the story just told should convince them that the one still standing in the end will be of darkness—Galvatron himself.

Animation and technical errors

[edit]
  • Moon's nose is yellow when he's upside-down.

Trivia

[edit]
  • This clip show features a fourth wall-breaking (common to Beast Wars II and which is later given an in-universe explanation in Legends) framing story of Galvatron in the library. However, Galvatron will be shown to still be in his coma in the next episode. The Seacon scenes explain their fates upon encountering the void in "The Final Battle" and are important to the narrative of the series, leading to the pirates' reappearance in "Revenge of the Space Pirates". As such, it seems that the events of this episode are easier to slot between "The Final Battle" and "Enter Lio Junior", with the final scene that features Magnaboss merely serving as a quick look at the newest additions to the main cast.
  • Moon stars in the commercial bumpers. For some reason, there's another commercial bumper some five minutes later starring Scuba.
