Locked
So, how long is the lock out going to last? -- SFH 17:46, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- I'd guess, until Autoboot Camp airs in the States. --Professor Icepick 17:50, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- Seems to be the trend. I can agree with it.--RosicrucianTalk 18:31, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- Is this page still locked, or what? I can't edit it and I was hoping to note how much Shockwave, uh, doesn't look like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. At all. KingAndy 09:30, 2 April 2009 (EDT)
- Oh, apparently somebody thinks he does look like a reindeer. Go figure. KingAndy 10:47, 8 April 2009 (EDT)

I have the Picture

Please unlock the Shockwave article. Mr. Serious 15:50, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- Uh, that's not from Autoboot Camp is it?User:GWolfv2 16.53 June 5th 2008
It seems to be, I recognise that pose. We could use it until a whole body image or some toy images are released, although one of him transforming from Longarm Prime to Shockwave would be good too (Shotgun on the Autbot counterpart gag). Metal Gear NOIZE 15:58, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- Couldn't we put the picture lower on the article and put the "Does Prime Die?" spoiler warning at the top. That way people who haven't seen Autoboot Camp don't get the spoiler like some people who have seen it. Just an idea.--AWT88 16:07, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- The picture should go in the same place as always, because there's nothing remotely spoilery about it. Shockwave is on a viewscreen. Could mean anything. --Thylacine 2000 16:34, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, since this is about to be deleted, we don't have to do anything. -- SFH 17:22, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
Now I changed the name of the image. Mr. Serious 19:14, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- It doesn't work that way. You have to reupload the image to change the name. Try something like Animated Shockwave or TFA Autoboot Camp Shockwave. Something that defines the what continuity the subject is in. -- SFH 19:55, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
I now named it TFA Shockwave. Mr. Serious 16:31, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
Well, correct me if I'm wrong, but this episode is gonna air in the US this week ain't it? Or is it S.U.V. that's gonna air this week? I don't know for sure because I don't get Cartoon Network and have been watching them on YouTube a week at a time.--AWT88 03:41, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
- Autoboot Camp is this week's Moose episode. The US gets SUV this week. --FortMax 03:43, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, guess I was wrong. So I'm a few weeks ahead of the rest of the nation. But I will not go past Black Friday (which I'll probably end up watching Sunday after work).--AWT88 03:55, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
Shockwave? Where are you?
I try to avoid Youtube and the sort so i haven't seen the episode, but I can't help but look up characters. This being said, why does the "little red autobot" have a picture and Shockwave doesn't?
EDIT: Sorry for not signing, and I just realized that it's locked... Ragingtsunami726 19:26, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
Logic suggests merger
Now that its shown in Canaidia, can we go ahead and merge this with Longarm's article?User:GWolfv2 22.46 June 7th
- I believe we said, at least in one place, that we were going to try to keep the character pages spoiler free (or at least marked as spoilers int he fiction section) until the episode airs in the US in another week. Since a redirect is inherently a spoiler (anyone clicking on it to read the general bio of Shockwave or Longarm-- but stopping before the section marked as spoilers, would be spoiled just by the act of clicking.)
- The decision on the date may have changed- there was a lot of back and forth on it- but 'when it airs int he US' was what I remember last. -Derik 22:05, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
- That being said, can we at least unlock the page to allow registered users to work on it? We have an image now, and the guy who uploaded it deserves a chance to place it on with a caption of his choice. -- SFH 23:17, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
- If I knew when it happened, I would suggest merging them when the Autobots find out that he's playing both sides. But with Animated having a Starscream whose betrayal is secretive and covert, Shockwave's role as a backstabbing spy may actually go undetected, with no dramatic reveal to his Autobot patsies just to go "Mwa Ha Ha, I am evil the whole time!".--Carrion 01:45, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
- God knows I object to TFRocks' approach of making the reveal in the first paragraph of the fiction section.--RosicrucianTalk 19:31, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
I'm also holding off on posting the double agents category, as nobody wants to get spoiled just by browsing a category.--RosicrucianTalk 20:11, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
Toy?
Is there any news on a toy for Shockwave yet, and if so, does it (commented out to avoid spoilers, I guess)KrytenKoro 22:02, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
Shockwave release
Here's hoping they release a a triplchanger for him, one mode tank, one mode crane and two robot settings - Longarm Scuba Mask and Shockwave Cyclops... Well, I hope that's how it comes out! - User:Shockwave Prime
New stuff coming
I realised he was not the only autobot and decepticon shape shifter and he is also a double Agent, How come it wasn't in the article. 82.17.140.55 19:08, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

Spoiler pic
Just figured I'd link this here, so it can be posted whenever we're ready to do so. --Professor Icepick 19:12, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
Transwarped
I had just finished writing a whole bunch of stuff for Shockwave in his Transwarped appearance, only to find someone had already wrote something in :( Phooey.
Should I still pop it in, or does someone want to read it or...? --Tribor
Capitalization?
Derrick and the "TransWarped" credits capitalize the "A" in "Longarm". Is there anything that goes against this? —Interrobang 01:48, 22 March 2009 (EDT)
Burton Interview?
According to the Notes section, Burton says in a recent interview that he at least partly influenced Shockwave getting an expanded role this season. However, the link to the interview returns a "The requested topic does not exist" error from Seibertron's forums. I did a search there for "Burton" and "interview" and found one whole thread, and that's about an interview Burton did at StarWars.com. Nothing in the thread or that interview mentions Burton getting Shockwave's role expanded. (Of course, the Seibertron forum layout looks slightly bunged up, at least on this computer, so it could be a transient glitch on that end.)--Apcog 16:56, 29 March 2009 (EDT)
- Well, it's either a glitch, or it's been taken down. A quick google for "Seibertron" and "Corey Burton" brings up a few news posts from other sites linking to the interview from when it was up. - Chris McFeely 17:08, 29 March 2009 (EDT)
Unprotect?
Could we unprotect this article? I have some edits to make regarding the toy. JW 09:32, 2 April 2009 (EDT)
- Registered users like yourself should be able to edit. The page is only guarded against anonymous edits. --ItsWalky 10:48, 2 April 2009 (EDT)

- Enh... it's been protected long enough, and all the big reveals have been made.--RosicrucianTalk 15:21, 2 April 2009 (EDT)
Errors!
I've noticed that his toy is almost never tansformed correctly, even on the box, longarm's head is half way folded, the head his difficult to transform making me have to use the tab on the back of his face, and just look at the pic on target.com!, or the box. should this be on trivia
Hey guys...
he does change his energy sig according to the toy's bio. You might want to change the part about it only being a possibility, or the autobots just being arrogant.
Toy Bio
Do we need a section for this? It doesn't reveal anything new. Usually we only include toy bio sections when they show us something the previous fiction doesn't.--RosicrucianTalk 12:10, 7 April 2009 (EDT)
- Well, there is the information about the Elite Guard, and the ability to change energy signatures. I think that sheds light on the character. If that isn't enough, I don't mind if it is deleted. - Starfield 12:15, 7 April 2009 (EDT)
- Those are things we could likely just integrate into the intro paragraph.--RosicrucianTalk 12:17, 7 April 2009 (EDT)
Animated Shockwave Elite Guard faction symbol
"Graduating near the top of the class from the AUTOBOT Academy, he moved through the ranks of the Elite Guard, eventually becoming head of the Intelligence Division." - Shockwave's bio.
The majority of fans aren't aware of Derek Wyatt's off-air remarks but may have read Shockwave's character bio. As far as they know, Shockwave moved up through the ranks of the Elite Guard. It is canon, at the very least in the micro-continuity that is Shockwave's character bio but arguably in the cartoon as well, since nothing in the cartoon itself really contradicts it. See also: author intent. Shockwave's Elite Guard faction symbol has been removed a couple of times. I think it should be there. - Starfield 12:11, 7 April 2009 (EDT)
- The fact that "LongArm Prime" has a standard Autobot insignia rather than the winged Elite Guard symbol contradicts it. - SanityOrMadness 20:43, 8 April 2009 (EDT)
- That just means he isn't in the Elite Guard right now. It doesn't mean he didn't move up through their ranks. Head of the Intelligence Division is apparently not an Elite Guard position. - Starfield 21:50, 8 April 2009 (EDT)
- Which is odd, because Blurr is both an intelligence agent, and in the Elite Guard . . . but as odd things in Transformers go, that barely rates. My opinion? The toy bio says he was once in the Elite Guard. The toy bio is canon. He should get the symbol, and a note saying he's not in the Guard now. JW 22:09, 8 April 2009 (EDT)

Capital A
I know that's how they did it in the credits of "TransWarped", and I don't have a DVD handy, being at work, so I can't check how "Autoboot Camp" did it, but the credits for "Where Is Thy Sting?" don't capitalize the A. - Chris McFeely 07:31, 9 April 2009 (EDT)
- (aaaaand I see the topic was raised a while back and I never spoke up about it. D'oh.) - Chris McFeely 07:32, 9 April 2009 (EDT)
- "Autoboot Camp" didn't capitalise the A either. Honestly, I'd be inclined to go with "Longarm" myself; it's the predominant parsing both in Transformers Animated fiction and Transformers fiction in general, to the extent that I'd be prepared to write off the "TransWarped" spelling as a typo. After all, if we were taking that episode's credits as gospel, shouldn't we also be moving our Hot Shot and Rodimus Prime pages to "Hotshot" and "Rodimus"?
