The connection points between the pairings are wired such that any combiner can join with any other, regardless of what end of the vehicle they form.

It's true of the toys, but has it ever been shown in the fiction? MTMTE explicitly says otherwise, stating that front-end guys can join with any back-end guy or vice-versa. -- Repowers 17:15, 14 July 2009 (EDT)

Yeah, in fact it's happening in the screencap right there. But I do think it's worth noting the implied limitation in the DW continuity... in fact, that whole section could use an expansion with MTMTE-bio info. The current wording makes it sound like only one Combiner even existed in that universe. - Jackpot 17:21, 14 July 2009 (EDT)
