Talk:Nebulon (Headmasters)

Since Stepper and Ricochet are the same guy, I believe we should consider Nebulon and Nightstick (Ricochet) the same guy, but do we also combine the page with the Decepticon Nightstick? I don't have my Ricochet box avlible, so can anybody confirm wether or not the bio states if Nightstick is a Nebulon or not? --FortMax 18:55, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

Is there any reason to keep this here, as opposed to calling the character by his Hasbro name? Chip 18:57, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

All I know is, we've got three different Targetmasters--two of them from the same mold, and the other from a mold easily associated with that one--who are all named Nightstick, and my head is about to explode. Terribly sorry about the mess my brain is going to make all over the walls. --Andrusi 22:33, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
Hopefully, Hasbro will reissue Artfire so we can get this mess somewhat cleared up. They'll probably name the TM "Fracus", which would leave us with an (Autobot) and (Decepticon) for each of the two names. --FortMax 22:43, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

Where Backstory from?

Can I get a footnote on this backstory? Is it a new from somewhere? I've read the translated manga, and my understanding was Stepper's jp tech-spec was quite ... bland, as is Ricochet's American one. Is this from the Comemorative box release in Japan? (WAS there a commemorative box in Japan?) -Derik 08:03, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

See here. (Yes, there was a bookbox reissue of Stepper. It came out about the same time as Ricochet.) --Monzo 08:06, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

*smacks forehead* how could I forget the Fusion-Stepper reference? -Derik 08:13, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

Is Nightstick a Nebulon?

It just occurred to me. Is Nightstick an organic alien from Nebulos? How does the Commemorative Series work, does it introduce Ricochet and Nightstick into the American G1 continuities, or what? - Starfield 22:14, 13 August 2009 (EDT)

That's a damn good question. I had edited the intro at one point to address that, but apparently somebody didn't like it. The fact is, the Commemorative Series bio doesn't say a single thing about Nightstick. As far as English-language fiction goes, he's a blank slate.... who just happens to have the exact same name and appearance as Cyclonus's partner. I consider that conspicuous absence of information tremendously noteworthy. But the trend on the wiki is to not acknowledge gaps in info if those gaps can be filled with data from other sources. In this case, since Nightstick has a Japanese counterpart with characterization, we apparently treat that as though it's the only thing worth documenting. - Jackpot 02:59, 14 August 2009 (EDT)
