The Primatives were brought together by Primacron's assistant to combat the threat posed by the scientist and his latest creation, Tornedron. The assistant hoped that the Primitives' "simple instincts" could overcome the brilliant scientist's complex plans. The assistant was proved correct when Grimlock broke into Primacron's control room and toggled the "reverse switch," a solution that eluded Primacron himself. Reversing the energy polarity destroyed Tornedron and reversed all the destruction he caused. Call of the Primitives
