"After the (second) death of Straxus a coalition of leaders calling themselves the Triumverate seized control of the Decepticons."

I admit I haven't read a lot of the UK material, but I have read a lot of what the wiki says about it! Is this necessarily true, or is this just an assumption? Straxus was "Lord High Governor of Polyhex". Was he governor of one providence? Could the Triumverate have been above Straxus in Helex? The name of the story is "The Fall and Rise of the Decepticon Empire" meaning that the Decepticon Empire came to and end when the Trimverate was killed. Just something I'm trying to sort out. Just after Straxus's second death, Ratbat was still fuel auditor. Who was Ratbat serving under? Did the Trimverate take over that quickly or were they always in power being lazy when their governor of Polyhex was killed? As I understand the chronolgy, Thunderwing petitioned Decepticon High Council to be leader before the Trimverate was killed. How does that shake out? Was Thunderwing petitioning to be leader of the army of the Empire that was ruled politically in Helex by the Triumverate?

In short, I am doubting that Straxus was ever overall leader of the Decepticon Empire. I'm thinking he was one governor serving under someone else. - Starfield 13:26, 16 November 2009 (EST)

Wasn't the whole point of the confrontation with Megastraxus the fact that these jokers were running the Decepticons right into the ground?--RosicrucianTalk 13:36, 16 November 2009 (EST)
The Middle Years described Trannis as supreme ruler of the Decepticons, who was killed in an all-or-nothing move from the Autobots, after which Straxus succeeded him and beat down the Autobots' temporal, small victory. Geewunling 13:44, 16 November 2009 (EST)
That story says Trannis took control of the Decepticon army, which is a strange way to put it. Does the "Decepticon army" = "the Decepticons"? Maybe not. They were the rulers of Cybertron in that period. It would make sense if they had political leadership different than military leadership. - Starfield 13:52, 16 November 2009 (EST)
Have we ever seen evidence of a significant population of Decepticon civilians in this continuity?--RosicrucianTalk 14:00, 16 November 2009 (EST)
Megastraxus thought he was Megatron at the time. He was lost for four million years, woke up, had some dealings in Polyhex. Eventually he came to the actual capital of Helex, where he saw how the Empire was being run first hand. That made him angry, so usurped these guys, causing the Decepticon Empire to fall. - Starfield 13:52, 16 November 2009 (EST)
