Like its predecessor, Revenge of the Fallen features a large multi-media ad campaign. In addition to theatrical trailers and TV ad spots, several preview segments have been shown online. Advertising for the toy line was also handled in the same manner as for the first film, with the focus being on different play patterns.

Two guys sit outside of a Burger King restaurant, on the tailgate of a pick-up truck. Colt scratches off his game piece, revealing a grand prize winner. Inside, the King transforms from broiler to robot and inadvertently scares a nearby worker. Back outside, Colt reveals to his buddy that he's just won a million bucks. "Sure you did Colt." The King busts through the restaurant wall and steps in front of an armored truck, forcing it to stop. The King bangs on the roof of the truck, causing the rear doors to open and a handful of bills to fly out. Colt (dejectedly): "That's not a million dollars." The King gestures as if to say "I've got it" and then lifts up the front end of the truck dumping out the rest of the million dollars plus a security guard. "Whoa, you won a security guard too."

- Kmart "Transform Your Dad": We see the side of a building with a shadow that appears to belong to Optimus Prime. The camera zooms out to reveal that shadow is actually that of the Kmart mascot, Mr. Bluelight. He is holding stacks of merchandise in each arm and asks, "Who were you expecting, one of the Transformers?". Ah yes, silly us. The rest of commercial is the announcer explaining the Transform Your Dad promotion. [41]

- LG Versa: A man walking with his new phone finds Optimus Prime with his sensors and logic circuits clearly damaged. Or so it would seem, as Prime repeatedly deems the phone/camcorder/gps/laptop a Decepticon. The man chuckles at Optimus' misguided fixation only to have an actual Decepticon crouch down behind him for an attack. This naturally causes the man to flee. [42]

- M&M's: Red and Yellow stand on a platform, overlooking the loading docks for the new Strawberried-Peanut Butter M&M's. Red: "Who's delivering the new Strawberried Peanut Butter M&M's?" Yellow: "Uh, that big truck." Optimus Prime then drives up, transforms, and THROWS A TRAILER THROUGH AN ELECTRICAL POWERLINE!
