The name or term "Icepick" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Icepick (disambiguation).
Icepick is a Decepticon Commander from Power Core Combiners and Dark of the Moon.
Well I've got news for you. I think old people are really boring. And the only reason you don't understand our music is because you don't like it!

Icepick has no respect for his elders. Or, in fact, for anyone less technologically-advanced than himself and his fellow combiners. He believes they're fit for the scrap heap, and he's only too happy to send them there himself; outmoded Autobots and Decepticons alike had best steer clear of this frigid fanatic.

Later, after his combiner team was destroyed, he desperately sought another partner. He may despise humans greatly, but his alliance with the human traitor, Sergeant Chaos, provides him with the assistance and information he requires.

Toys

Power Core Combiners

  • Icepick with Chainclaw (Commander Class, 2010)
Part of the second wave of Power Core Combiners, Icepick transforms into a treaded snow-plow vehicle of probably-made-up model. Unlike most Power Core Combiners Commander figures, Icepick does not have 5mm post holes in or near his hands to allow him to wield his Mini-Con partner in a gun- or melee-weapon-like manner. He has some sweet claws, though, and the hardpoint on his right shoulder allows him to use a Mini-Con's weapon mode as a shoulder-mounted emplacement. A flip-up Powerlinx socket on his chest allows him to use Mini-Cons as armor. He also has a secondary "power up" mode, in which he forms a super robot torso; in this configuration he can use the drone-limbs from any 5-pack set to make a new super-robot.
He was sold in a set with his Mini-Con partner Chainclaw.
During the period between 26 December 2010 and 31 January 2011, Hasbro ran their "Supercharge Your Holidays" promotion: for every $20 spent on Hasbro-branded product, customers could receive a free, random product from a list provided by Hasbro. Among the items on the list was "Transformers Combiners & Speed Stars Mini Vehicle". According to this discussion thread on Allspark.com, Icepick with Chainclaw was one of the figures distributed.

Dark of the Moon

Look out for his giant waffle-iron!
  • Sergeant Chaos / Icepick (MechTech Human Alliance Basic, 2011)
    • Japanese ID number: DD11
Part of the first wave of Dark of the Moon Human Alliance Triple Changer figures, Icepick has two different alternate modes. He transforms into a snowmobile that any Human Alliance "human" figure can ride, as well as a "hoverbike" mode with a gigantic frickin' chainsaw hanging off the front. In all modes, he has multiple c joint weapon-mounting bars. His head is rather pointedly based on a hockey goalie's mask, eh. He comes with his human partner Sergeant Chaos.

Not Icepick, but more like Lavapick!
  • Flash Freeze Assault (Human Alliance multi-pack, 2011)

Notes

  • It's conceivable that Power Core Combiners Icepick and Chainclaw's names were originally intended to be swapped around. While "Icepick" works about as well for either robot, the Commander is the one with "chains" (his treads) and claws.
  • Due to the vague continuity of the Power Core Combiners line, the case for Power Core Combiners Icepick and Dark of the Moon Icepick being the same guy is not airtight. In fact, it's not entirely out of the question that Power Core Combiners Icepick is a new body for Generation 1 Icepick, upon whom his bio is heavily based. TFWiki.net has gone with the simplest explanation.
  • Oddly enough, the reference in Icepick's Dark of the Moon bio to his combiner team being destroyed is also the only place it's ever been mentioned to exist in the first place. It's unclear whether this is an unseen set of drones, an equally-unseen movie continuity counterpart to the Pretender Monsters, or just some copywriter misremembering which assortment his previous toy was in.
