Talk:Frenzy (Movie)
This page totally needs the picture of him reading over that dude's shoulder. --M Sipher 22:58, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
- I'll snap it. -Derik 23:36, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
- Aw. The reading picture needs to stay as the main pic. It's the best! --ItsWalky 01:03, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
- I'll agree, if it could be just a bit bigger. King Starscream 05:24, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
Wikipedia article
It seems the people at Wikipedia jump the gun at everything... Josh Duhamel made some weird comments about a "Soundbyte" character turning into a "12-inch iPod" in the movie, and now every single dorkwad is insisting that this is canon and that he's a real gear TF present in the movie in spite of the fact that the full cast of TFs in the movie has been pretty much confirmed... some of you smarter guys need to help set them straight. Size...?
How big is Frenzy supposed to be, anyway? Some sources suggest 7 feet tall (in scale with Deluxe Barricade) but in one of the trailers he looked positively diminutive, at arou 4 feet. Is this due to the fact that several of his parts slide and extend and he can drastically change size, or does he just stay one size? King Starscream 05:24, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
- Movie novelization explicitly says he's 4.5 feet tall. -Derik 06:08, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
GLU Mobile Game question
Is this Frenzy? From the Glu mobile game.
I'm trying to figure out if it's a generic base on him, or if it's a new kind of enemy unit.-Derik 02:50, 13 June 2007 (UTC) http://www.emopanda.com/tmp/glu_enemy.png
Cybertronian Language.
Since the link is here, I'll ask here. We have a page for Cybertronix now. Should the movie language (about which there's definately material for a decent article) go there, as it IS the only named Cybertronian language or on a seperate, generic page? Should Cybertronix itself be stricken and reduced to a sub section of a larger page? Thoughts? -- ZacWilliam (not loged in).
Frenzy inspiration (hommage) to gremlins?
I have heard some people say that the characterization of Frenzy is based on the Gremlins (an other movie whose Steven Spielberg was the executive producer) and that there was even a mogwaï in a truck somewhere in the movie (I don't remember it, tough) do you think it is pertinent enough to be mentioned?--GUIGUI 20:53, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
- I really don't think so. --ItsWalky 20:56, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
- I would really not at all be surprised if the "mogwai in a truck" people recall is just the big Furby image on the side of a truck. --Sntint 21:31, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, it's most certainly the Furby he was referring to.
Hard to Kill
According to the trivia note added by 84.203.113.222, the whole bit about every part of Frenzy being alive (and frequently switching alt modes) is from Titan Magazines. If this can be confirmed, then the note needs clean-up, and perhaps the reiteration Sipher removed can be reinstated (also with clean-up). If it can't be confirmed, the note needs removal, obviously.--Apcog 20:11, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- Confirmed the arse off it. Although I thought it originated with the Dorling Kindersley movie guide, myself, and was just being reiterated in the Titan magazine, since the magazine's character profiles are just reworked versions of the ones that appeared in the book. But I don't own the book, so I don't know for sure... - Chris McFeely 20:43, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- Fair enough. I'd definitely make sure that it's given a Reference, as the Titan comics aren't exactly widespread information-wise o'er here. --M Sipher 21:01, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
Image format
Okay okay, I realize that in general, we go with a left-right-left-right positioning of images. That's the standard, and yeah, it works fine when the images are comparatively few and integrated into the body of the text.
However... compare this this trivia section (images alternating left-right) to this one (images stacked on the right). Can you honestly tell me that the alternating sides version looks better? It seems here, and in some scattered other instances, we're rigidly adhering to a standard without regard for how well it actually works. -- Repowers 20:46, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- I think I prefer the second version better as well. -- SFH 20:57, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- I prefer the first one. I've seen a lot better examples of where left-right images makes things look bad. But here, it's flattering. --ItsWalky 21:01, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- The first one doesn't have huge ugly gaps of blank space. BIG plus. --M Sipher 21:03, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- Buh? I see just the opposite on my screen -- lots of ugly gaps under the alternating sides version, none when they're stacked. -- Repowers 21:09, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- I think this is a resolution thing. Although I DO see a big chunk of whitespace under the first bulletpoint, even on the stacked version. Perhaps to remove a picture and fix that, I might ask... what exactly is the final image, the render of Frenzy's head, illustrating all the way down there? - Chris McFeely 21:12, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- Buh? I see just the opposite on my screen -- lots of ugly gaps under the alternating sides version, none when they're stacked. -- Repowers 21:09, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- I don't know if it's the resolution my screen it set at, meaning that I can see it and other people can't, but I'm looking at the first one, and I'm seeing half-bullet points peeking out from undeath the pictures, and double-bullet points, and stuff that's just totally misaligned all over the place. Ugh. Lee. So... the second one gets my vote, then. - Chris McFeely 21:08, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- A compromise between the two positions would be to remove the two seemingly pointless headshots. They don't particularly add much, and it would remove the gigantic whitespace if the images are stacked to the right. —Interrobang 23:46, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
"differentiated spark"
Someone on Talk:Waspinator (BW) mentioned a while back that Frenzy had a "differentiated" spark (which apparently helps with surviving decapitation). Anyone else heard of that? --fleb 18:43, 6 August 2009 (EDT)
"First Encounter" Frenzy
Does anyone has an image for "First Encounter" version Frenzy, which is black? I once uploaded one, but it was become unused and delete after the Database Crush. I'd like to reupload it again with {{badimage}} for temporary use until there is a better one. --TX55TALK 02:19, 16 June 2011 (EDT)
- "First Encounter" Frenzy, as the text says, is unaltered from the first release. It's not black. --ItsWalky 02:22, 16 June 2011 (EDT)
- No, I'm not talking about the un-Transformable one, but this one:
- This Screen Battles pack features a largely unchanged Deluxe class Barricade figure The only real difference is the Frenzy mini-figure, which is now cast entirely in black plastic, sports no paint applications and is supposed to be stuck permanently inside Barricade's chest thanks to a new, additional piece of plastic (as a matter of fact, the Frenzy figure is also neither advertised on the packaging nor depicted in the instructions). The only way to free him is to remove all four screws from Barricade's undercarriage, then pry the halves of the car apart and slip Frenzy (and his plastic blockade) out quickly.
- as mention in the previous external link. --TX55TALK 11:09, 16 June 2011 (EDT)
- In a sense, there is no such Frenzy figure. The Barricade is designed so that he is not (supposed to be) removable. He is included simply because leaving him out would make for an incomplete altmode for Barricade. Technically, if you have him removed he is a customized figure. --Khajidha 11:21, 16 June 2011 (EDT)
