Duststorm (Energon)
| This article is about the Decepticon combiner limb from Energon. For the Decepticon Osprey from the 2010 Transformers line, see Duststorm (TF 2010). |
- Duststorm is a Decepticon combiner limb from the Energon portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.

Little is notable about Duststorm, except for his ability to form a limb of the powerful Constructicon Maximus and perhaps other combiners, and the hard-to-pronounce "stst" phoneme in his English name. He was one of the few to survive the great battle between the combiners, late in the Energon wars, outliving his own team leader Steamhammer through what was either ghoulish treachery or ingenious improvisation on Storm Jet's part. It all depends on your point of view.

Shortly after awakening from their long slumber, Constructicon Maximus and Bruticus Maximus were ordered by Galvatron to pursue the fleeing Superion Maximus after the Autobot attempted to attack the Decepticon leader. Both combiners separated into their individual components and gave chase. They later pledged their allegiance to Galvatron, believe he was the future of Cybertron. Galvatron!
During a virtual training match between the Autobots and Decepticons, Duststorm and the other Constructicon team members fought alongside the Destruction Team against Storm Jet and his Air Team. Both sides combined and clashed, with Superion Maximus losing the battle. However, they were quickly defeated by Optimus Supreme in the next round. Distribution
Duststorm and the other Constructicon Team members eventually paid for their treachery during a final show down with the Air Team. Bruticus Maximus and Constructicon Maximus double teamed Superion Maximus, who held his own and destroyed Constructicon's spark before the Autobot was reduced to just Storm Jet. However, the ghost of Superion's brother appeared, destroying Blackout, giving Storm Jet the chance to procure Constructicons's dead limbs (including Duststorm) and recombined into Superion. Before Bruticus could recover, the Autobot pierced his spark, causing an explosion which engulfed them all. Spark
Toys
Super Link
- Buildron (Gift set, 2004)
- Japanese ID number: EX-01
- In Japan, "Long Haul" was only available as part of the complete Toys "R" Us exclusive "Buildron" set. He has some slight deco differences from his US Hasbro counterpart. Notably, he is lacking the tampographed Powerlinx symbol on the top of his crane cockpit (the rear side of his right lower arm in robot mode), although a variant of the Hasbro version is lacking the symbol as well.
Energon
- Duststorm (Basic, 2005)
- Team ID number: C2
- Accessories: Energon claw, Decepticon energon chip
- Duststorm, identical in mold to his teammate Wideload, transforms into a truck-mounted mobile crane. He can also form a leg or arm to any Energon-series "Powerlinx Combiner" super robot, though his nominal placement is as the left arm of Constructicon Maximus. He comes with a giant claw for clawing things, which can be wielded in hand or affixed to his boom, and a blue "super energon" Decepticon-style energon star.
- A minor deco variant of Duststorm exists: One version has a Powerlinx symbol tampographed onto the top of his crane cockpit (the rear side of his right lower arm in robot mode), the other version is lacking the symbol (like his Superlink counterpart).
Incidentally, if used as an arm, if you rotate the chest plate upwards and reposition his arms, his waist and hips are free to move, giving Constructicon Maximus an elbow.
