Be the Hero
Be the Hero is a series of Transformers Animated multipath adventures published by HarperCollins Publishers in 2009. The four books in the series were written by established authors Colin Brake and Richard Dungworth.

Continuity
The series adheres for the most part with the Animated cartoon continuity. Given that Web of Deception notes that Isaac Sumdac is at liberty and still inventing technology, and Sari still appears to be living apart from the Autobots in all of her appearances, the books would logically predate the second season of the cartoon (in which Sumdac was captured by Megatron). However, several of the books make mention of Bulkhead's interest in art, which was not developed until the late first season episode "Headmaster", leaving only a rather small window between that episode and "Megatron Rising - Part 1" for the books to take place in.

- Time-Quake introduces two entirely new Decepticons, Blast-X and Wavelength.
