Blaze Master (G1)
| This article is about the Micromaster helicopter from Generation 1. For the helicopter from Revenge of the Fallen, see Blazemaster. |
- Blaze Master is an Autobot Micromaster from the Generation 1 continuity family. His name is sometimes parsed as Blazemaster.

The Air Patrol has never really gelled as a team, and a good chunk of that is because of Blaze Master. It's not just because his cynical nature clashes with the ever-optimistic Sky High. Frankly, he scares them, and a lot of other Autobots as well. His favorite battle tactic is to fly slow and low over Decepticon positions, presenting himself as an easy target. Once he's sure they can see him, he releases his signature weapon, a napalm-like corrosive spray that incinerates anything it doesn't melt first. Then he just hovers there, watching his enemies die slowly and painfully... chuckling all the while. He can use the spray in robot mode too, but the "death from above" method is by far his favorite.[1]
After his conversion to a larger form using Power Core Combination technology, he took the code name Choppermaster, and teamed with a Targetmaster partner named Firebug.

Dreamwave comics continuity
When the newly created Micromasters first took up sides in the Cybertronian Wars, Blaze Master chose to join the Decepticons. Working alongside Barricade and his Race Track Patrol, he attacked the Autobot Micromasters when they attempted to rescue the damaged guzzler named Roadbuster. Destined for Nothing Rumor had it, though, that he was discontent with the Decepticon way of doing things. Powertrain and Highjump were discussing how to bring Blaze Master over to the Autobot side later that night in Little Iacon. The Gray Race When Venom and his Decepticons took over and occupied the area, they demanded the Micros turn against each other on that formerly neutral turf. At that point, Blaze Master had definitely had enough: he tossed aside his allegiance and told the Decepticon guzzlers to slag off. Venom then had Barrage shoot down the Micromaster. The Autobot Fixit was seen caring for the fallen Blaze Master after that. Recipe for Hate Venom and his men took the Autobot Micromasters into custody back at Decepticon headquarters, but Big Daddy and the Hot Rod Patrol broke them out soon after. Blaze Master got his revenge on Venom shortly afterwards, stabbing the larger robot through the torso with his energo-rotors. Victims of the Revolution

United EX
Blaze Master was one of several Autobots from Zone chosen for Power Core Combination. Taking the name Choppermaster, he was training in the Swiss alps with a group of drones when Rollermaster attacked. Despite the Master Chaos Decepticon taking control of the drones, Choppermaster held his own fighting against the giant foe with his incendiary gel. In the Blazing Alps Choppermaster and Rollermaster beat each other to the point of shut down. A final victor was not decided, however, because another Decepticon named Combatmaster arrived on the scene to finish the battle. He carried Rollermaster to safety while collapsing a mountain on top of the fallen Autobot. Prelude to the Siege
Choppermaster was eventually recovered by his friend Airmaster, but Dozermaster had secretly placed a homing beacon on him while he was deactivated, allowing the Decepticon to track Choppermaster and Airmaster back to the Autobots' secret headquarters. The Price of a Life

Notes
- Most—if not all—of the toys pictured in the 1990 Hasbro Transformers catalog are unfinished prototypes or mock-ups, and a variety of differences from the final product are apparent. In Blaze Master's case, there are some minuscule sculpting differences...and the complete lack of robot-mode paint applications.
- Choppermaster's bio notes do not explicitly say he's Blaze Master, but... come on. Plus, the guy who wrote the bio and story and all that said he is.
- The United EX set bucks tradition by putting the Decepticon's name first.
Foreign names
- Japanese: Blaze Master (ブリーズマスター Burīzu Masutā)[2]
