Talk:Stephen Keener
Wait, we have a clear link between TF and St. Elsewhere, and the image caption ISN'T about Tommy Westphall and snowglobes and etc? I am disappoint. -hx (talk) 10:35, 18 November 2013 (EST)
- Sorry, but I haven't watched St. Elsewhere in a long time, but I have watched Exorcist III (from which the caption was taken) and The Ninth Configuration.

Name
Since he was credited as "Stephen Keener" for his TF voice roles, shouldn't we have that as the article name even though it's a stage name? I mean, "Chris Latta" was also a stage name, but we don't call that article "Christopher Collins". We can still mention his real name in the opening paragraph as we do for Latta, but doesn't this Wiki strictly adhere to the specific names that actually appeared in TF media? --Sabrblade (talk) 20:48, 18 November 2013 (EST)
- Yes, I think we should always use the name a person is credited as for their TF work as their article title. --KilMichaelMcC (talk) 21:26, 18 November 2013 (EST)
- Yeah, it really ought to be changed back. The explanatory note at the bottom about his real name was enough, I thought. --DrSpengler (talk) 22:02, 18 November 2013 (EST)
- Does the existing redirect page have to be deleted first, though? --Sabrblade (talk) 00:07, 19 November 2013 (EST)
- Yeah, it really ought to be changed back. The explanatory note at the bottom about his real name was enough, I thought. --DrSpengler (talk) 22:02, 18 November 2013 (EST)
Stephen Keener
Stephen Keener is not a pseudonym for anyone. He's a classically trained actor who did a lot of voiceover work in the 70s and 80s. He's also my dad, so it's alarming to see him mis-credited. I don't know the protocols for revisions. Just want to get the info out there. --Keener (talk) 20:33, 19 November 2013 (EST)
- Well now I'm just confused and irritated. Where did User:Starscreamsfan get the info that Keener and Flanders were the same guy? We need to sort this out. --DrSpengler (talk) 21:00, 19 November 2013 (EST)
- You and me both, DrSpengler. I got the info from one of Flanders' sons. He said that he even went to a Transformers recording session with him. Mr. Keener, are you sure your father was in Transformers?? Because G.I. Joe was being recorded at the same time as Transformers but then there were also the Transformers TV commercials, which also had a lot of voice actors that weren't featured in the series.
Please, let me know.
EDIT: I asked Flanders' son if his father was in the commercials rather than the cartoon, but he said that Scattershot and Hun-Grrr were played by a voiceover veteran (possibly Keener) in the commercials.
But anyways, is this your father, Mr. Keener? (Flanders' info came to me last year, but I was still suspecting this was your father, until I saw the 1968-1982 time interval):
