Soundwave is a Decepticon from the Kre-O continuity family.

Soundwave is a Decepticon Kreon. He doesn't say much. As of now, it's unknown on whether he ejects his diminutive partners from his chest or builds them himself.

Soundwave was one of the Decepticons who joined Megatron in the Nemesis to chase the Autobots in the Ark. After they boarded the Ark, it crashed to Earth and the Transformers fell to a four million year-long sleep. They woke up to a world filled with blocks. Kreon Story

Soundwave was part of a massive Decepticon invasion force intended to ruin the Autobots' picnic. However, Optimus Prime plowed through them with his truck and left them scattered... and then left. Returning to the scene after.. ahem, taking care of some pressing business, Optimus gathered up the still-wiped-out Kreons, bound them up on a flatbed trailer, and took them to the picnic. Emergency! Hurry to the Base, Optimus!

Soundwave infiltrated into Autobot City as an inconspicuous music player. Two Giant Bases! Everybody Getting Along, Come On, Fight! Soundwave witnessed the combiners Devastator, Bruticus and Menasor trying to add the last piece of the Decepticons' new solar tower. Megatron's Ambition!? The Solar Tower Is Built!

Soundwave had his clones sold as music players to brainwash humans into slaves using hypnotic music. Jazz oppossed Soundwave, so Soundwave and his many clones unleashed a musical sound attack upon the Autobots, but Jazz and the others countered with a session of their own. Soundwave's Trap? Stop Operation Brainwash Humanity!

Soundwave was seen flying into battle with Laserbeak in some kid's living room. Robots in Disguise! The Transformers Are by Your Side!?

The Sentinel Prime construction set comes with a Soundwave Kreon, based on the Generation 1 incarnation. He has an adorably creepy speaker-mouth under the helmet's faceplate.

    • Accessories: Rack, large cannon, Seeker arm rifle, scoped pistol, double-barreled pistol, rocket backpack, small wing-pack, curved blade
Part of the first assortment of "Custom Kreons", this version of Soundwave comes with a buildable parts rack on which to hang/store his many many extra pieces. His tampographs are much more heavily-detailed than the original Kreon, based on the original Soundwave toy. His "normal" helmet and grenade launcher are chromed, plus he comes with an extra clear-plastic helmet, torso and legs. He also has a pair of extra arms (originally from the Kre-O Battleship aliens), plus a buildable cannon based around the aforementioned chrome gun, a small scoped pistol, a double-barreled blaster, and a two-piece curved-blade sword.
He still has the adorably creepy speaker-mouth.


  • Kreon Class of 1984 (Kreon figure set, 2014)
This version of Soundwave, voted "Class Gossip" by the Kreon Class of 1984, has much more toy-based tampographs than his prior versions.
He was only available in a pack of 30 Kreons dubbed "Class of 1984". This set was made for sale at San Diego Comic-Con 2014. Remaining stock will be sold at Hasbro Toy Shop online.
