Bumblebee came to the dog's rescue by making the car block transform into Mega-Bumblebee, who itself saved the dog. After some guile, Bumblebee got Optimus Prime's permission to own the dog. Stock photography shows the bulldog with paint on his collar, eyes and teeth, which the final toy sadly does not have.

• The bulldog mold was later used to make Junkyard in the Kre-O G.I. Joe series. No, Junkyard isn't a bulldog, but it's the dog mold they had at the time.
