Robby and Hashtag take Optimus' trailer to be washed only for it be stolen, multiple times.
Synopsis
[edit]Hashtag and Robby are attempting to talk Optimus Prime into doing a photo shoot for popular blog Trucks Illustrated. With some help from Jawbreaker, they get him to agree, though they have to talk him out of showing the trailer in battle mode. When Jawbreaker notes the trailer could use a wash, Optimus assigns Robby and Hashtag the task.
Hashtag takes the trailer to a nearby car wash and Robby sets about cleaning it while she sets up a social media account for publicity purposes. Robby spots that one of the wheels is missing a valve cap, so he pops into the nearby store for supplies. On emerging, he finds Hashtag oblivious to the fact that the trailer is now missing. The pair start searching, but refrain from notifying Optimus on the grounds it will make him less likely to trust him with important tasks in future.
Back at base, Jawbreaker, anticipating that the blog may want to interview Optimus, sits down to practice some interview questions with the Autobot leader. This swiftly wears on Optimus.
Hashtag taps into the network of cameras Nightshade has set up throughout Witwicky and spots Aftermath moving the trailer onto a rail crossing before spray-painting a target onto it. The pair speed to stage a trailer rescue. Meanwhile Swindle and Hardtop are observing Aftermath and coming up with their own plans. Hashtag and Robby, heading for the rail crossing, spot an oncoming train and race it there. They're able to get to the crossing and knock Aftermath down before the train reaches it, though he gives enough of a struggle that Robby is forced to punch the trailer off the tracks. Aftermath, connected to it by his tow cable, is pulled into the path of the train and hit full on by it. Robby starts listing what they'll need to fix the trailer, but once the train passes, realizes that the trailer is once again missing. Swindle and Hardtop have successfully spirited it away.
Despite Hashtag's assertions that they should come clean to Optimus, Robby is determined to get the trailer back. Jawbreaker is wrapping up his practice interview with Optimus when Robby contacts him and asks him to keep stalling. Jawbreaker opts to have Optimus work on his camera poses. Hashtag and Robby return to their search for the trailer and get a hint from the distant laser fire. Swindle and Hardtop have taken the trailer to a quarry and are trying to shoot it open. Robby and Hashtag arrive to find them hoisting the trailer onto a conveyor, so while Hashtag distracts the cons, Robby sets about trying to rescue the trailer. He manages to stop the conveyor belt before it can drop the trailer into the quarry, but while Hashtag struggles to retrieve the trailer, Nova Storm and Skywarp arrive. The pair snag the trailer with tow cables, and though Hashtag does her best, she's thrown off and crashes into the quarry.
Jawbreaker, still in delay mode, is giving Optimus a pedicure. When he inadvertently mentions the trailer, Optimus asks him to tell Hashtag and Robby to bring the trailer back now.
The message is passed on to Robby and Hashtag. Robby comes up with the idea of using the trailer's car alarm to track it down. They find it at the salvage yard, being battered by the two Decepticon jets. Having failed to break into it that way, Nova Storm and Skywarp decide to try blasting it instead, but while their backs are turned, Robby lifts the trailer up with an electromagnet and drops it on the two Cons. As Hashtag drives off with the trailer, Robby starts listing the supplies they'll need, only for Nova Storm to add to their woes by using the last of her strength to blast two of the trailer's wheels.
With thirty minutes until the photo shoot, Optimus tells Jawbreaker to have the others meet them there, and rolls out.
Robby laments when the news reaches them, but fortunately Hashtag has filled in the rest of the family, and Mo, Thrash, Twitch and Nightshade show up with the supplies necessary. Soon the trailer is a hive of industrial cleaning and repair until it's back to perfect condition, and the rest of the family heads off. Unfortunately the Cons pick this moment to catch up, forcing Robby to switch the trailer into battle mode so he can use it to fight back.
At the photo shoot at Witwicky Donuts, Optimus embarrassingly admits his trailer has gone missing and resigns himself to using a substitute trailer. Hashtag meanwhile computes various routes to the photo shoot and opts for "insane", busting through a water tank to clean the trailer on the way. They arrive at the photo shoot to Optimus's delight, however it turns out they've used pine air freshener which Optimus is allergic to, so the photographer gets an embarrassing shot of Optimus sneezing.
