Gorkon is a Klingon from Star Trek.

Chancellor Gorkon is the leader of the Klingon High Council and the ruler of the Klingon Empire.

On stardate 5892.7, Gorkon spoke to the Council regarding the strange events on Cygnus Seven and the strange vessels crossing the Neutral Zone. As Gorkon opined that such an act signalled the start of total war with the Federation, Starscream entered the High Council's chamber and declared himself the new emperor of the Klingons. When Gorkon balked at the Seeker's claim, he was met by a null-ray blast, responding with a disruptor, before the other Decepticons arrived, Megatron declaring Kronos now belonged to the Decepticon Empire. When the Autobots and Starfleet arrived, Commander Kuri quickly briefed Gorkon on what was happening, the Chancellor presenting his soldier with a bat'leth. Despite the fighting spirit, the Decepticons ultimately emerged victorious when Soundwave used his audio disruptor waves. Fortunately for the Klingons, they were deaf to the frequency that Soundwave utilized allowing them to summon a warbird fleet that defeated the invaders. In the aftermath, Gorkon allowed the Federation and Autobots to go free, but on the condition that the Decepticons remain as Klingon prisoners. Prime's Directive, Part Five

  • Gorkon is not actually named, but his appearance and role in the story makes his identity evident. In keeping with The Animated Series designs used for the comic, he's drawn lacking the characteristic forehead ridges that the Klingons sported from The Next Generation onward.
