Tankor makes his final push to transform the world into an '80s paradise, but Rattrap stands in his way.

Synopsis

[edit]

With only Roadbuster remaining by his side, Tankor declares it time to enact the "Total Humanity '80s-ization Plan" and hands the '80s-ization beam over to Roadbuster, who blasts everyone present to varying effects: Ai gains impractical anime bikini armor, Rattrap is turned into a Choro-Q, Cheetor becomes a delinquent, and Tigatron's cute girl figures are transformed into keshigomu (Whirl is unaffected on account of already being from the '80s), all while Tankor revels in nostalgia. His rejoicing is interrupted by Rattrap, who tells him that, as a Beast Wars fan, he too loves the past, but that the old days they love didn't lose: the present is built on the past, and the reason modern Transformers series exist is all thanks to the older ones.

Rattrap's speech gives Tankor pause as he admits he understands where his friend is coming from, but, even so, he just can't bring himself to forget the glorious '80s. The heroes take this chance to attack as Whirl takes to the air in a half-helicopter mode and drops Rattrap onto Tankor like a bomb, but Roadbuster loyally shields his commander and is broken into pieces by the impact. Tankor retreats to have his underling repaired, and when Rattrap next sees the two, they've peacefully settled down to run a popular '80s-themed café in Akihabara.

Transformers references

[edit]
  • "Choro-Q" Rattrap is actually just him frozen into his Transmetal vehicle form.
  • Movie Bumblebee appears in the form of his Q-Transformers toy.

Other references

[edit]
  • After his injuries, Roadbuster follows Whirl's example and changes his vocal tic from "vack" to "buster".
