Minimizer

Laws of physics? I am not familiar with any such laws.

The Minimizer is a real-life shrink ray! It can reduce objects in size so they can be easily transported around, and restore them to their normal size later. The ray can also be reversed so that it can make things bigger. It's Doc Greene's favorite invention of the last decade.

The Minimizer was one of the exhibits in the Hall of Inspiration. Doc Greene demonstrated it by shrinking a shopping trolly which he'd pushed towards Mrs. Neederlander, and then returning the trolly to normal size. The device was of interest to local criminals Evan and Myles, who broke into the museum that night to steal it. The Burns family and their Rescue Bots attended the break-out, and in the process of capturing the pair, Heatwave, Blades and Boulder were shrunk. As no one was familiar with the device and the two thieves weren't talking, the damaged Minimizer was put in the evidence locker.

Chase eventually showed Cody Burns a picture of the Minimizer, and he recognized it. Doc Greene was soon able to get it into some semblance of working order, and Cody used it to shrink a minivan that was blocking one of the overflow channels of Griffin Rock dam. It was also successful in returning the three shrunken Rescue Bots to their normal size. Small Blessings

Some time later, Heatwave recalled the Minimizer as a possible explanation for a series of strange disappearances around Griffin Rock, but Cody assured him that the device was still in the archives at the Hall of Inspiration. Countdown The Minimizer was pressed into use miniaturizing the Rescue Bots' ship so that they could go on a fantastic voyage through Kade Burns, and restored them to normal size afterwards. Doc Greene used the device in reverse to enlarge rocks for the Parade of Metals as a part of All Spark Day, however CeCe accidentally enlarged herself with it. Doc had to scramble to repair the damaged device so he could use it to shrink her back to normal size. All Spark Day

A version of the Minimizer is installed in the Rescue Bot Training Center, which can be controlled via Elma, the Center's main computer system. The Center's Minimizer can be used to shrink bots down in order to race train on a table-top track. And, of course, maximize back to normal size. Uninvited Guest The More Things Change...
