Skywarp is a Decepticon Seeker from the Cyberverse continuity family.
Seemingly less of a prankster than her male cousins.

As the captain of an elite Seeker unit, Skywarp is essentially the bot who's in charge of the troops when the other high-ranking officials are either unavailable or have been killed in action.

During the Nemesis crew's search for the Allspark, Skywarp was among the Decepticons who stayed on Cybertron to fight off Autobot forces. When Megatron believed Shockwave had killed the crew of the Ark, he ordered Skywarp to take the Seekers to comb through the ship's wreckage and find the Allspark while killing any Autobot survivors before a revenge-crazed Teletraan-X interrupted him. After it was revealed that the Autobots had abandoned ship, Skywarp took part in the subsequent battle with the Autobots, opening fire on Windblade before getting shot out of the sky by Jetfire. Battle For Cybertron II

After the Great War ended in the Autobots' favor, Skywarp was among the Transformers captured by the Quintessons, who outfitted them with control helmets that placed them in a simulation loop where they took part in a parade with varying differences each time. During her presence in the Loop, Skywarp attacked Alpha Strike as Lockdown walked past them. The Dead End Skywarp was eventually freed from the simulation alongside the other Decepticons thanks to the Cybertronian resistance, who got them to transform when they unleashed Air Hammers into the Loop. The Scientist

As part of a team-building exercise, Skywarp was placed in a team with Jetfire, Sky-Byte, and Rack'n'Ruin. She spent her first session being clobbered by Rack'n'Ruin before subsequent sessions proved more successful, with Skywarp slashing a drone to bits to end the round and high-fiving Jetfire. The Alliance

After the Quintesson flagship had been destroyed, the new Judge revealed himself as Starscream, who unleashed a brainwashed Croaton on the planet. Rallying behind Jetfire, Skywarp was part of an aerial attack that launched a futile attack on the Titan. Once the Quintession threat ended following Megatron's return, the Transformers formed a truce. The End Of The Universe IV

When Bumblebee and Whirl infiltrated the Decepticon half of Cybertron in search of a comatose Windblade, Skywarp was among the Decepticons who surrounded them. However, Optimus Prime was able to convince Megatron to release the trio, citing an Autobot held captive in Decepticon territory as treason. The Decepticons complied and let Bumblebee and Whirl go. It's not easy shooting green.
  • Seekers Sinister Strikeforce (Multi-pack, 2020)
  • Action Attack: "Nova Seeker Missile"
Cyberverse Skywarp is a redeco of Warrior Class "Cybertronian Mode" Starscream, transforming into a Cybertronian jet that resembles the Vic Viper T-301 from Gradius V. Rather than actually having her show coloration, she is instead oddly cast in transparent purple plastic with red spray on the wings.
Her "Nova Seeker Missile" Action Attack flips her wing-attached spring-loaded null rays up and forward when her cockpit is pulled back all the way into her robot-mode back. The blasters are also removable for safety reasons, but cannot attach to anything but their normal mounts.
Skywarp was released exclusively at Target in a multi-pack with her fellow Seekers Thrust, Thundercracker, and Starscream, all of whom were also redecoed from the same Starscream figure. The product was first sighted in July 2020 with no prior announcement from Hasbro.

Notes

[edit]
  • This Skywarp is female, a departure from most versions of the character, who have traditionally been male.
  • Skywarp is conspicuously absent from the first two seasons of Cyberverse. However, an early male version of Nova Storm may have originally been intended to be Skywarp.
  • Besides being the only Seeker in Cyberverse to not have any dialogue, Skywarp is also the only one to be absent in Transformers: Battlegrounds.
  • Multiple instances of Skywarp appearing in Nova Storm's model occur throughout the third season.
  • Strangely, despite eventually being the last notable Seeker and de-facto commander of them, in addition to being given no lines, definitive personality or spotlight attention, Skywarp is dropped from the show completely from the middle of the third season through the rest of the series.
