Sweep No. 5

Sweep No. 5 is a Decepticon from the Generation 1 continuity family.
Sweeps that make you go hmmm

Sweep No. 5 (スウィープスNo.5 Suwīpusu No. 5) is the most stoic and thoughtful of the characters that make up his troop, which makes it unfortunate that Scourge is the leader instead. He's recognizable by his thick eyebrows.

Legends comic

[edit]

Sweep No. 5 and the other Sweeps were caught up in Scorponok's black hole explosion that caused their bodies to shrink, forcing them to become Headmasters. The affected Decepticons travelled to the Legends World, where they teamed up with Tera-Kura Co. Headmaster Chapter Prologue The Sweeps became part of the company's official hierarchy, working under Scourge, LG22 Skullcruncher and participated in an introductory lineup for Galvatron, where No. 5 was said to have the voice of Skywarp. LG-26 Scourge Prologue Despite being relegated to janitorial duties, the Sweeps got new transtector bodies after striking a deal with Terrorsaur to kidnap Alpha Trion for him. When Scourge powered himself up using Trion, the Sweeps grew jealous and swarmed his transtector in an attempt to get a piece of the cake, with No. 5 getting in his cockpit when the others forcibly transformed him. He noticed on a control panel that the transtector was overloading on energy, but could do nothing about it before the whole thing exploded. The Sweeps then returned to being janitors, now supervised by a freed Trion. LG26 Scourge

As part of Weirdwolf's rogue Decepticon faction, Sweep No. 5 helped rebuild Trypticon and fight Nightbird's clones during a battle to steal Metroplex's transformation cog. Decepticon Civil War The Sweeps were later tasked by Scourge with searching for another Zodiac, and their failure to find one led to No. 5 concluding there must be only one in existence. Instead they happened upon Blowpipe, Targetmaster Chapter Prologue who they used to clone themselves an army of Sharkticons. Before they could use their creations to take over the world, the Sharkticons turned on them thanks to Hot Rod and Shaoshao Li and the Sweeps were arrested. LG44 Sharkticon

Legends

[edit]
  • Sharktron & Sweeps (Sharkticon) (Basic set, 2017)
Legends "Sweeps" is a redeco/retool of Titans Return Titan Master Fracas, with a new up-swept mustache face. As a Headmaster, the Sweep can transform into a head compatible with Scourge or any other Deluxe-or-larger Titans Return-style figure, though it is intended for use with LG26 Scourge's transtector, to which it is almost color-matched, though the white plastic isn't exactly the same tone. The head-mounted blaster thingy is designed to pop up for head mode, and retract into a marginally less embarrassing position for robot mode.
The Sweep was bundled with Sharktron, a redeco of Titans Return Gnaw.
