...do we really need this template? And for once could you wait for the rest of the community to decide that before slapping it on multiple articles?--RosicrucianTalk 12:32, 1 April 2010 (EDT)
- It was talked about. - Starfield 12:45, 1 April 2010 (EDT)
- I've got to go with Rosi on this one. You made that post YESTERDAY and one person replied TODAY. It's a little early to consider the discussion closed. Khajidha 12:49, 1 April 2010 (EDT)
- So what is it you don't you like about it? {{Comingsoontoy}} doesn't fit because it says "This item is currently scheduled for release..." and the these toys aren't scheduled for release. Should they go in {{Template:Canceledtoy}}? - Starfield 12:59, 1 April 2010 (EDT)

- I just don't see this happening often enough to matter. If anything, {{Comingsoontoy}} should be changed to being "announced but not out yet", whether it has been put on an actual schedule is a minor detail. Khajidha 13:07, 1 April 2010 (EDT)
- I like the idea, personally. I do think we need either a new tag or a switch on the existing toy tag for "This toy was announced as coming out, but whether or not it even will is another question".
- Especially in those cases where it's pretty obvious that the likelihood of the toy coming out is pretty slim, but we can't come out and say so because there's no definite final word, which has happened a few times. In those cases, it'd be nice to give readers a heads-up that, "It's not officially cancelled, but it's not looking good either." --Jeysie 13:15, 1 April 2010 (EDT)
- This template is fine with me. (Though it probably would've been better if opinions were gathered before it was launched.) --NCZ 13:58, 1 April 2010 (EDT)
Picture
[edit]Hydrodrive Bumblebee is scheduled for a release. Kinda weird how this template doesn't apply to the item pictured. Should someone (who knows how to) replace the picture? (Then again, due to the purpose of this template, the picture would have to be changed every few months or so when we find out whether they plan to release it or not) Item42 13:18, 30 July 2010 (EDT)
- You are right. How about that generic picture? - Starfield 13:41, 30 July 2010 (EDT)
