Stockade
[edit]I believe you just accidentally deleted Stockade (Movie) instead of Stockade (movie). Might wanna fix that. Geewunling 13:23, 8 April 2009 (EDT)
- ...it's fixed. This is what happens when you put the delete tag after the redirect, not before it.--RosicrucianTalk 13:26, 8 April 2009 (EDT)
- I didn't give that one up for deletion, so not my fault. That said, that is something worth keeping in mind. Geewunling 13:32, 8 April 2009 (EDT)
- It's cool. Nothing has to be permanent in a wiki anyway. Goof-ups are easy to fix.--RosicrucianTalk 13:36, 8 April 2009 (EDT)

Thanks!
[edit]I just wanted to drop by and say thanks for getting rid of all that trolling so fast. In every forum/wiki I've been in, people who clean that stuff up are usually gone unnoticed or unappreciated by most people, so yeah... I hope that kind of spamming doesn't happen too often around here, for everyone's sake. This is a pretty awesome wiki from what I've seen up to now! :) -Ascendron 21:51, 14 April 2009 (EDT)
Whom in the what now?
[edit]What'd we do on the CSS side? (I can't tell if your reversion indicates success of failure, and since I'm apparently the wiki's quasi-official CSS-keeper I suppose it's my responsibility to check it's not causing problems.) -Derik 16:08, 24 April 2009 (EDT)
- Before the crash we'd given the messagebox boilerplate template rounded edges. I attempted to put the code in for that, but was unsuccessful, and suspect something is overriding it.--RosicrucianTalk 17:18, 24 April 2009 (EDT)
I'm sorry
[edit]I'm so mad right now. All these idiots are talking crap about this movie before it is even out. It's a major pet peeve, one I cannot control lol. I have faith that TF ROTF will blow their minds and shut them up once and for all. I'll try to behave better for now on. Thankyou Godziboy1993 20:51, 9 May 2009 (EDT)
Vandalism
[edit]Thanks for getting on that one anon and blocking him for deleting pages, I'm pretty sure he's pissed at someone. Anyways, there's thing other anon--71.172.67.243--and what he/she's been doing might as well be vandalism because it's not helping. All it is, is replacing captions with others laced with profanity, and... well you get the picture. I'm coming to you because the regular people on here can't block, can we?--AWT88 23:26, 10 May 2009 (EDT)
- He's been warned. I haven't seen him do it since SFH warned him. I'll keep an eye on him, though.--RosicrucianTalk 01:28, 11 May 2009 (EDT)
Energon
[edit]Could you please move Energon (G1) to Energon (fuel) over the redirect? [I can't do it, because the redirect's been edited.] - SanityOrMadness 22:32, 18 May 2009 (EDT)
- Done. Now you get the pleasure of redirect-hunting.--RosicrucianTalk 23:34, 18 May 2009 (EDT)
- In the case of a purely-parenthetical change, Deceptitran automatically takes care of changing links [take a look at RC right now with bot edits visible, and you'll see it changing all the (comic issue)s to (issue)s] :). It's only when you change the actual name of the page that you really need to go through the redirects manually, since rephrasing may be in order. - SanityOrMadness 10:02, 19 May 2009 (EDT)
Summary field
[edit]There's a reason for the summary field. Do not delete info without stating a reason or i will treat it as vandalism. Could you please explain why the bit about Takara's legends class Devastator was deleted?--86.87.28.191 16:50, 19 May 2009 (EDT)
- Japanese names of movie characters are not evidence for or against what the character should be called in the context of the US release. They often have little to no relation to the English language names used.--RosicrucianTalk 16:53, 19 May 2009 (EDT)
- This does not apply to movie figures. All movie characters have retained their US names, with even Convoy going by the original "Optimus Prime" name.--86.87.28.191 18:11, 26 May 2009 (EDT)
Hello from Ghostbusters Wiki
[edit]I'm the current Bureaucrat at Ghostbusters Wiki, and there was interest in placing links to articles on this wiki to Ghostbusters wiki, and likewise placing links to Ghostbusters wiki on pages relating to characters of Ghostbusters. I don't know a great deal of your wikis past dealings, other than wikia apparently kept your old wiki's content when you moved. Anyways, the wiki would rather reference to your present wiki than the one currently at wikia. We are hoping you wouldn't mind the links to our characters on pages related to the Race with the Devil article. Devilmanozzy 01:31, June 8, 2009 (EDT)
- While I'm a sysop here, I can't make decisions for the whole community. Thus as I suggested earlier, this would be best to bring up on the Community Portal so we can get to know you guys better. Really appreciate the interest and you guys being polite about it though!--RosicrucianTalk 01:43, 8 June 2009 (EDT)
Mass-produced Fan-mods
[edit]was wondering why there are no pages about fan-made add-ons like the stuff Fansproject does... is it an unwritten rule not to include this information since it's not supported by Hasbro? I figured after the TFCon Litho Alex Milne did featured the City Commander upgrade for classics Ultra Magnus, it was a big enough part of the Fandom to include somewhere... maybe just a page about independent mods or a Fansproject entry. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Cliffjumper prime (talk • contribs){{#if:00:55, 12 June 2009| 00:55, 12 June 2009|}}.
- They're not officially licensed, so we can't include them. Don't get me wrong, Shadow Commander is sitting next to me as I type this so I really do dig FansProject. It's just against policy to detail unofficial stuff.--RosicrucianTalk 01:38, 12 June 2009 (EDT)
- that's a shame, they deserve a shout-out for all they've done for the fans, but I understand. Well, maybe when Hasbro eventually goes after them for making fully transformable toys they can get a nod, huh?
- We generally only deal with official stuff. Hasbro does not officially acknowledge those items other than being concerned about the potential copyright violation from people such as iGear, TF Club (the chinese group) and others who use Hasbro's copyrighted designs and insignia. --FFN 04:19, 12 June 2009 (EDT)

Purple Motorcycle Autobot
[edit]Sorry. Seibertron had it floating around for some weeks now. I thought it was okay. Riddlerj 19:43, 22 June 2009 (EDT)
- It's okay. I'm probably on a hair-trigger, because I've had to delete that exact file three times already. You're right in that it likely is a real, official render. It's just not released from a real, official source because it's a leak. We'll likely have an official source on this one within another week or two once Hasbro or Paramount release more promo images. Don't worry though, you're already head and shoulders above the other folks trying to put this on the wiki because when I deleted it you stopped, rather than re-upload it two more times.--RosicrucianTalk 19:50, 22 June 2009 (EDT)
- No prob. Riddlerj 19:53, 22 June 2009 (EDT)
Dynasty
[edit]The term never shows up in the film, and neither does the idea of Prime being an orphan. It fully refers to the adaptation (Prime being in stasis instead of dead etc) Eire 19.34 June 28 09 (UTC)
- You blanked an entire section, and instead referred our users to a halfassed article badly in need of cleanup. That's inexcusable.--RosicrucianTalk 14:37, 28 June 2009 (EDT)
Ricochet
[edit]Thanks for those fixes. That damn name has given me so much trouble. --Crockalley 20:43, 6 July 2009 (EDT)

Deleting Skids image
[edit]Erm, technically that new user should have uploaded his images over the one I uploaded, because my upload was the only one of the two that bothered to provide a description or use any sort of copyright template. Might want to check out what newbies are actually uploading before deleting existing images ;) Also, his images are quite large in terms of file size. --FFN 14:21, 17 July 2009 (EDT)
Gamecap
[edit]I apologize for create the gamecap too fast. As for the game-screenshot, which I'd like to state that it has exist for years and is not created by me. Though I do mistakenly look the reason that the gamecap was deleted due this game-screenshot. --TX55TALK 12:30, 25 July 2009 (EDT)
Nestlé
[edit]Hi,
So, why have you deleted the Nestlé page? Wasn't the information relevant? I know that the page template wasn't up to standards, but I believe that it could be kept as a stub (to display the information to someone that might need it) until I learn more about the wiki in order to update the page. Or even you could have updated it instead of deleting it right away.
So, what's the justification for deleting it? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Thehungrytrex (talk • contribs){{#if:| {{{2}}}|}}.
- It is wiki policy for us to delete halfassed articles that have had no effort put into them, rather than have other users be forced to do the work the original article creator should have. As a result, Mazenoise flagged your article for deletion, and as I'm the first sysop that spotted it, it's gone now. This happens very often.--RosicrucianTalk 17:05, 5 August 2009 (EDT)
- I see. I don't want you to understand this the wrong way, but what you're telling me is that you'd rather don't have the information than having a stub? Thehungrytrex 17:15, 5 August 2009 (EDT)
- What I am saying is that the article you wrote wasn't even enough for a stub.--RosicrucianTalk 17:29, 5 August 2009 (EDT)
- We'd rather have an article that contains at least the bare minimum to be a properly formatted article (and preferably more than that, to boot), yes. For a company like Nestle, you'd want to look at several related articles to get an idea of what your new should look like.
- You may really want to go around adding information to existing articles to get an idea of how things should be structured, before creating a new article. Especially since, judging by the fact that it has no links to it, Nestle isn't an article we really need. Finding a Wanted Page you know enough information to write about would be much more helpful. --Jeysie 17:31, 5 August 2009 (EDT)
- Ok. The article was probably deleted in less than two hours (while I was off to dinner); I didn't even have the chance to work in it more, you just assumed that I just abandoned it, and deleted it. Doesn't seem that fair to me. A more useful action would be to give me the reply that Jeysie did, and give a deadline or something to improve the article. Anyway, I was just trying to help and contribute. If you feel that was the right thing to do, well, it's your decision. Jeysie, thanks for the kind reply! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Thehungrytrex (talk • contribs){{#if:| {{{2}}}|}}.

Shattered Glass Factions
[edit]Is this at least a start of what you had in mind? ...granted, I admit I have no idea what else to do with it from there... where to link it from, or what sort of intro to give it, or if the info for each entry should be more expansive... --Jeysie 19:37, 8 August 2009 (EDT)
Screencaps
[edit]All right. It'll take some time, but I'll get to it (I'm working on replacing/uploading all Armada screencaps). I actually wasn't sure if there was a certain size or format I should go by, so thanks a lot for the tip.

Tech Spec Quotes
[edit]If you want to get technical, some of the SG articles already have card bio quotes on them from ages ago, which might be where the anon got their erroneous thought process. There were a couple I replaced with quotes from the actual fiction while going through them, but the rest I left as-is because I couldn't find any dialogue I thought would be a suitable replacement. I guess we really should just ditch them entirely anyway? --Jeysie 14:35, 16 August 2009 (EDT)
- Well, this guy's a special case. He's already IP-hopped twice, after changing dozens of articles to include tech spec mottos, all of which had to be reverted, and was already blocked at least once for this behavior. So I really have to keep up what the prior sysops have said, because he's just not listening.--RosicrucianTalk 14:41, 16 August 2009 (EDT)
- I figured... but I was more wondering if we (well, I) should go ahead and purge the other quotes too, then. --Jeysie 14:56, 16 August 2009 (EDT)
- Nah. Don't worry about it. As you've shown, some characters don't have enough of a body of work to present anything other than a tech spec motto, especially since there's a few that haven't appeared outside their bios. The point isn't that mottos are necessarily bad if you've got nothing better, but rather that they're not the default assumption for what a character article quote should be.--RosicrucianTalk 14:58, 16 August 2009 (EDT)
- I figured... but I was more wondering if we (well, I) should go ahead and purge the other quotes too, then. --Jeysie 14:56, 16 August 2009 (EDT)
The Seven Primes
[edit]The exact phrasing used by Jetfire is the original rulers, not the original Cybertronians. At no point in the movie is it ever suggested any of the Primes were among the very first Transformers. So it does seem perfectly credible that in the Movieverse The Fallen is the only one of the Thirteen who acted as a member of the Seven Primes, certainly as credible as the idea that some or all of them were members of the Thirteen. I mean, if these are supposed to be the original Transformers of the movieverse, then it does beg the question why there's not even a hint at the existence of 6 more. Until an official source confirms that they certainly Vector or Logos or whoever, can't see why a mention of the possibility of them not being them shouldn't be included.User:Eire 03.27 Aug 19 09(UTC)
- It creates a grey area where really there is none, considering other movieverse material has the Primes as his "brothers," which is to say equal creations of the AllSpark.--RosicrucianTalk 00:59, 19 August 2009 (EDT)
- Or brother Primes, as in the same as Optimus who is at least two generations removed User:Eire 01.00 Aug 20 09(UTC)
- I don't see any instance of the Fallen acknowledging Optimus as a "brother," merely as a Prime and thus capable of defeating him.--RosicrucianTalk 20:53, 19 August 2009 (EDT)
- "Die like your brothers!" "They were your brothers too". User:Eire 1.59 20 Aug 09 (UTC)
- Line spoken by the Fallen and Optimus during their fight. Which puts forth the idea of all Prime's being brothers, whether they're from the same generation or not, which means that The Fallen's "brothers" may never have been members of the 13. I think there's enough evidence to suggest one is as likely as the other. User:Eire 18.21 Aug 21 09 (UTC)
- I still feel speculating that the Seven Primes might not number amongst the Thirteen goes beyond what we aim to do here. If you're passionate about it, propose it on the article talkpage.--RosicrucianTalk 14:01, 27 August 2009 (EDT)

Transformers Wiki skin
[edit]Hi. Derek suggested I contact you because you are the creator of the skin for Transformers Wiki. I help run Fan History Wiki (fanhistory.com). Fan History pays all its costs out of pocket for our hosting. In the past, we tried to put the Project Wonderful ads in the monobook skin but our ads got ToSed because the skin covered up part of the ads. :( Given that, I was wondering if we could use the skin that you created for Transformers Wiki on our site (and modify it to match our wiki). We'd be happy to do some sort of link exchange for this as we can't really afford to pay for it. If you might be willing, I can be reached via e-mail at laura(@)fanhistory(.)com or on AIM at h2oequalswater. Thank you for the consideration! --LauraHale 12:20, 31 August 2009 (EDT)
- In this case, I certainly have no objections to this. What I did is certainly nothing special CSS-wise, so I certainly can't lay any sort of grand claim to it. If you're doing an image-for-image reskinning, I foresee no real issues. While I hate to pass the buck yet again, I will point out that the Project Wonderful functionality in this skin was not added by me, but by Suki Brits. The sidebar one should be fairly simple as that's just done using stock MediaWiki sidebar code, but if I remember correctly she did have to tweak a bit when we added the top banner.--RosicrucianTalk 13:15, 31 August 2009 (EDT)
- I don't suppose you could e-mail me a copy of the skin with the Project Wonderful functionality to laura @ fanhistory . com then? :) We'd basically just change the images. I can't begin to explain the level of grateful we would be. :) --LauraHale 23:23, 31 August 2009 (EDT)
- Er. :) Just wanted to remind you. Or should I contact Suki Brits and ask her? --LauraHale 08:58, 4 September 2009 (EDT)
- Ah yes, sorry, missed your last comment. Yes, she would have the code after Project Wonderful was implemented.--RosicrucianTalk 10:54, 4 September 2009 (EDT)
