Eagle Eye is a Decepticon Skyscorcher from the Generation 1 continuity family.

The infiltrator of the Skyscorcher team, Eagle Eye (aka Hawk) really, really hates those Autobots. He likes nothing more than smashing them to bits or blowing them up from afar. Seems to be a recurring theme among Decepticons from that era.

Marvel Generation 2 comic

Eagle Eye and the other Skyscorchers aided Megatron and Starscream against Optimus Prime and the Dinobots in a battle on an unidentified rocky planet. War Without End!

The Skyscorchers only appeared in vehicle mode, miscolored, on a gatefold pin-up included in the holofoil variant of issue #1. They do not appear in the North American Generation 2 stories themselves.

Hawk was part of Bludgeon's forces sent to Earth to smash stuff as a ploy to draw out Optimus Prime. War Without End When Megatron appeared to take back Decepticon leadership, Tornado retrieved Hawk and Terradive, who were attacking a squad of Autobots, so they could tackle Megatron.

Things didn't go too well for Hawk then. He got shot down by Snarl, and taken prisoner by the Autobots. War Zone

With the team stuck in a siege inside the Pax Cybertronia Decommissioning Depot in Kalis, Windrazor had Eagle Eye scan the cobalt-60 warhead of a Warbird missile to see if it would be possible to rig the detonator for a localised, diversionary explosion. Eagle-Eye confirmed it was and it would've been his job to trigger it if Venom hadn't WRUPped him to death, to create a "martyr" for the Neo-Decepticon cause. Loose Ends, Part 1

Wings Universe

As a "second generation" of Transformers arose on Earth in the Cyberfactory, Eagle Eye was one of many Transformers "born" as an official citizen of Earth. Despite being created with no faction in mind, Eagle Eye and many other Earth-born Cybertronians (including his fellow Skyscorchers) chose to become a new faction of Decepticons, the Syndicate. During Jhiaxus's invasion of Cybertron, Eagle Eyes stood by at the ready as part of a joint team of Autobots and Decepticons, awaiting Obsidian's signal for their time to fight back. Once the signal came, they teleported to Cybertron and started beating on some drones. In the heat of the moment, he exclaimed "DIE, AUTOBOTS! DIE! DIE!!" He clarified he only meant the Prowl drones when he was met with horrified looks by his Autobot allies. By the year 2034, Eagle Eye had left the Autobots behind and joined the splinter faction of Decepticons led by the High Regent Scrash, bringing with him the secrets of the Autobots' newly developed Power Core Combination technology. Upgraded into a new body, Eagle Eye was charged with locating the Decepticon outlaw Magnificus, so that Scrash could exploit his psychometric powers. He located Magnificus just as the fugitive was in battle with Oilmaster on the outskirts of Iron Town, and stepped in to dispatch his quarry's opponent. Eagle Eye then introduced himself as "Hawk" (ホーク Hōku) and offered Magnificus the chance to join his faction. Leaving him to ponder the idea, Eagle Eye supplied him with some energon and a repair kit and went on his way. Badlands

Metrowars

At some point after Scrash's defeat, Hawking was one of the Decepticons stationed aboard Metrotitan and was part of a Decepticon assault on Scramble City. They were forced to retreat when the Autobots showed off the power of a reborn Metroplex. Metrowars

Legends comic

When the Cybertron Alliance fell apart due to the humans murdering Megatron's friend, Hawking answered Megatron's call for war and was soon embroiled in a battle around Metroplex. LG-EX Metroplex

Over time, Decepticon leadership changed hands and Hawking came to serve under Galvatron II. He and the Decepticons attacked the planet Beast to steal its energy resources. They were opposed by the Monsterbots and the local tribes of Beastformers. A ship of refugees from the Legends World tilted the balance of power when they attacked Galvatron's ship Nemesis, splitting his forces as Hawking and the other Decepticons left the battle on the ground to defend the ship. The Road to Legends' Revival Chapter 3 Galvatron's raid was ultimately unsuccessful, and he was soon overthrown by the power of Dark Nova. Hawking and the Decepticons served this new master in attacking his homeworld, the Zone Base on Planet Micro. During the fight, Hawking confronted and mocked his former comrades, Jetmaster, Choppermaster and Airmaster, just before Dark Nova arrived in person in his colossal Unicron Neo configuration. Dark Nova was defeated as well, however, prompting Hawking to return to a previous affiliation. By 2040, he and Magnificus joined forces to recover the spirit of Scrash from inside the Assaultmaster body he was trapped in. Their efforts to combine Scrash with the Decepticon Skyquake were successful, but they were immediately confronted by Optimus Prime and Megatron, back together in service of the Cybertron Alliance. The Transformers Hawk transforms into a Eurofighter Typhoon jet. His under-slung radar system becomes a non-firing handheld gun in robot mode.

He was originally sold in the European market in 1993 as part of the "transitional" line that used the Generation 2 insignias, but lacked the new subline name. He was later released in the United States, with no notable changes beyond a new name, as part of the Generation 2 line. He was then later re-released in the European version of Generation 2 in 1994.

This toy is gang-molded with Terradive.

Released in the United States in 1993, Generation 2 Eagle Eye is identical to the concurrent European "Generation 1" Hawk toy. Hawk was re-released in the European Generation 2 line the following year.

Notes

• Eagle Eye is the only Skyscorcher who was not revealed as part of the ultimately-canceled Block Town series from Takara. Since he is gang-molded with Terradive, a Block Town "Hawking" alongside Terradive would likely have been simply a lighter green, with a blue tailfin.
• Though Eagle Eye was never released in Japan, he did gain a Japanese name via a BotCon Japan 1997 exclusive poster, which featured bios for all of the new Generation 2 characters released in the U.S. who weren't part of the Japanese line: the Axelerators, the Skyscorchers, Rotor Force, four of the Go-Bots, and the Color Changers.
• Eagle Eye's body in the Timelines comic "A Common Foe" uses the Generations Deluxe Class Armada Starscream mold with a head that matches his original design.
