Indelibly associated with the mysterious ancient known as Go Prime, the phantom Black Legendisc (ブラックレジェンディスク Burakku Rejendisuku) is a special Legendisc, capable of creating faults within time itself. Its power allows Transformers to travel in time via accumulated gaps in "Timeshift Energy", and the Legendisc itself contains the condensation of highly compressed time energy. Unfortunately, exposure to it debilitates the owner's body.

Within the context of the Primus Vanguard's Black Parade, it is known as the Black Matrix (ブラックマトリクス Burakku Matorikusu) and its energy is referred to as the Black Star Power, one of the Seven Lights of creation of the Precursor World.

It possesses some degree of autonomy and has been known to assist its master in beast mode.

Precursor World

[edit]

In the final battle between the Primus Vanguard and their ancient enemy the Specters, the Black Parade leader Black Go Prime unleashed the Black Matrix's Star Power to pool with the other six Lights to annihilate the Specters, which had the secondary effect of combining their multiverse into a single multicolored world.

When the Vanguard's research revealed that a new threat known as the Vok was coming from the future, Primus demanded that Go hand over the Black Matrix that he might gather intelligence on their foe. Overruling Go's warnings about tampering with time and the future Primus used the Matrix and disappeared from his troops for some time. When next he reappeared, driven to omnicide by grim visions of an apocalyptic future he received, Primus demanded the Black Matrix once more along with its fellows so that he might destroy the universe, Go this time declined and returned to the Black Planet with his Matrix. Finale Prelude
