Synopsis
Synopsis
As Nexus Prime and Aquarius land on their latest dimensional destination, they find themselves surrounded by Decepticons who are eager to torment the Autobot intruding on their turf. As Nexus and Aquarius fight off their attackers (read: Nexus fights them off and Aquarius gets stepped on), Aquarius muses to himself about Nexus, the journey Nexus took from being split apart to being whole again, and their current journey and situation.
Nexus Prime and Aquarius have been traveling from Cybertron and Cybertron, looking for something Nexus Prime can't quite remember. The pair have found that on most Cybertrons, it is the Autobots who are good and Decepticons who are evil—one which proves to be true again, as they are accosted by the Decepticons Runamuck, Runabout, Jetstorm, and Deluge. Aquarius is bummed, finding that he's in another universe where Quintessons are annoyed. Soon, the insulting Decepticons burst forth to attack, with the two newer Decepticons attacking Prime while the Battlechargers beat up Aquarius. Having faced far worse that these ruffians, Aquarius reflects on the events that led to here. Nexus Prime, one of the original Transformers, was split into five parts across the multiverse; Skyfall, about looking for a past he couldn't remember, and who falling into a destiny bigger than he ever knew; Landquake, a Decepticon who no longer had a cause; Breakaway, a guardian who no longer remembered his charges; Topspin, a bot who was easily swayed into the causes of evil robots; and Heatwave, the only one not looking for a past. Eventually, all were recalled to Aquarius' Cybertron, where, after the local Megatron was assassinated, the five merged for the first time in millions of stellar cycles. Nexus Prime remade Megatron into Galvatron, and together the two stopped the Autobot superweapon Omega Doom. Now, Nexus Prime and Aquarius search the multiverse for a mission the Prime can only barely remember.

Eventually Nexus Prime, still incredibly strong and skilled despite pretending to be a normal Autobot instead of one of the Thirteen (much to Aquarius's consternation), emerges victorious, leaving the Decepticons in a trashed heap. He then decides finally to let Aquarius in on the reason that the two have been traveling from one dimension to the next since leaving Aquarius's home dimension.
Soon, the Prime takes out the Decepticons, and having grown to trust the Quintesson, tells him what he knows of his mission. He was to guard an artifact that, in the wrong hands, could destroy all of space and time. The artifact was split, and now that Nexus is reunited, something big is coming that could decide the fate of the multiverse. As they walk through markets, Prime is bothered, feeling as though this Cybertron has something important about it, but they're too late to find it. Standing up from a box he has sat on, Nexus Prime is pointed to an odd Autobot symbol with wings. Prime suddenly remembers; this symbol is a clue to other versions of those who could help them. Heading out to their next Cybertron, Aquarius can't help but feel that the bots who the sigil belonged too could have had some good stories to tell...

Nexus explains that back before he was split into his five pieces, he had been charged with protecting a powerful artifact that could unmake the entire multiverse if it ever fell into evil hands. Both he and the artifact had been split apart and dispersed throughout the cosmos. Now that he's whole again, so too he needs to find the artifact's pieces and make them whole again as well. Unfortunately, this is somewhat stymied by Nexus being unable to remember what the artifact is, what the pieces look like, or even where the pieces are. Instead, up until now, he's been trying to find a clue somewhere in the multiverse that will jog his memory.
...as millions of years ago, the box is carried around by Elite Guardsman Kup, as he loads up for a mission...

That clue finally arrives when Nexus Prime realizes that the symbol on the box he's sitting on seems familiar—enough so that he finally gains a concrete notion on where to start really looking. As Nexus activates the codes to their next destination and they step through a portal, Aquarius muses that he wishes the bots that wore the symbol were still together in the current universe, as he would love to hear their stories...

...one of which starts out with Landshark telling Kup that Kup should really work on finishing the moving of those Elite Guard-branded boxes already!

Nexus Prime and Aquarius reflect on their questing while dealing with Decepticons.

Synopsis

[edit]

Heading out to their next Cybertron, Aquarius can't help but feel that the bots who the sigil belonged too could have had some good stories to tell...

...as millions of years ago, the box is carried around by Elite Guardsman Kup, as he loads up for a mission...

Quotes

[edit]

"Looks like you you've wandered into the wrong place, Autobot!"
"And a Quintesson? With an Autobot? Didn't your motherboard teach you better?"

Runamuck and Jetstorm give Nexus Prime and Aquarius an unfriendly welcome.

"Those that push through the dark, though, to the light on the other side, they find themselves in the lap of redemption. And let me tell you, redemption is just rollin' hills of wonders, and totally groovy!"

Aquarius waxes hippie poetic.

"And my—what did you call it?—vibe is telling me where we can start looking."
"Twitchin'! Let's get our beat feet on!"
"...you don't have feet."
