Notes

[edit]
  • Rather fittingly, Yūya Ōnishi was born in the year 1984, the same year the Transformers brand was first launched by Hasbro.
  • When designing Transformers toys, Ōnishi makes a point to check out the real life equivalent of the figure's alternate mode for accurate reference, even visiting a zoo if the figure calls for a beast-based alternate mode.
  • Ōnishi was personally responsible for the drawer in Kingdom Rodimus Prime's trailer, citing his commitment to accessory storage.
  • According to his Hasbro counterpart Mark Maher, Ōnishi originally came up in car design.[13]
